PROPOSAL: INTEGRATING E-SPORTS IN SPORTS FEST 2015

Objectives:

 To increase employee’s participation and excitement by integrating


eSports with traditional sports events in a digital-ready institution.
 To show and uphold the institution's reputation as a digital-
transformed environment, showcasing innovation not just in work
processes but also in sports fest activities.
 To promote teamwork and strategic skills through competitive and
collaborative digital gaming experiences.
 To provide opportunities to those who are not active in traditional
games but active in digital gaming.
 To gather insights from participants to improve future e-Sports and
sports fest experiences.

Propose e-Sports:

1. Mobile Legends
2. Tetris

Venue: CB Lara
e-Game #1: MOBILE LEGENDS: NOV 21, 2024 1:00 PM-4:00 PM

Tournament Structure:
 Each game must have 2 facilitators from each Team. Team facilitators can also be a player of their Team.

o TEAM A – Annamie/Vim/Dapot
o TEAM B – Bryle Tabla/Love Alaska
o TEAM C– Christian Servito/Tim
o TEAM D– Sheena Sumalbag/Julie Tabanggay

 1 Coach per team. Team coach can also be a player of their Team.
 Each team must have five (5) main players, with a maximum of 8 players per team to allow for substitutes. First team to have 2
wins is the winner.
 Round Robin. Each team (A, B, C, D) will play 3 matches—one match against each of the other 3 teams
To follow the schedule of the round-robin matches.

Venue and Setup:


 CB Lara or 4TH Floor of Fernandez Building
 2 OPD Rooms will be the area of the team players. (If Fernandez Bldg)

 Big Screen TV with speaker for audience and Laptop


 Seating for spectators/facilitators and audience
 1 mobile phone for each player and 1 for the spectator
 Each round of matches should be set up Custom Mode, as a 5v5Match Up battle.
 One referee/facilitator oversees the game of 2 teams on the big screen.
 One facilitator is in charge of the game setup, mirroring the game from phone to big screen so everyone (except the players) in
the venue can watch the game in the TV.

Rules and Guidelines:

 There are no restrictions on account level, rank, emblems, mobile specs.


 The facilitators have the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any
stage of the tournament.
 Players are not allowed to look at the big screen once the game has started.
 Players are not allowed to talk or communicate with players from the opposing team once the game has started.
 Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of sportsmanship, maintaining a friendly and polite
demeanor in activities involving other participants and public in general.
 Coaches are prohibited from using their phones during the game.
 Coaches are not allowed to watch the game on the big screen.
 Coaches may only be beside the team players once the game has started.

(All participants will be advised of the rules and other rules or technical aspects of tournament prior to start of competitions)
e-Game #2: TETRIS: NOV 21, 2024 10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Tournament Structure:

 Facilitators oversees the game of 4 teams on the big screen (1 facilitator from each Team)
 Each Team must have 2 main players, 1 main player, 1 sub

Venue and Setup:

 CB Lara with stable internet connection.


 Big Screen TV for audience
 Seating for facilitators
 1 laptop for each player
 Players compete simultaneously in a multiplayer environment.

Rules and Guidelines:

 The facilitators have the right to apply penalties, disqualify and dismiss player from the tournament, at their discretion, at any
stage of the tournament.
 Players are expected to conduct themselves and compete with the spirit of sportsmanship, maintaining a friendly and polite
demeanor in activities involving other participants and public in general.
 Each player has their own laptop and playing area but may see others' scores and progress.
 Five Rounds for each game. First to have 3 wins.
 A countdown timer will indicate the remaining time.
(All participants will be advised of other rules or technical aspects of tournament prior to start of competitions)

Mechanics:

Four players will play Tetris simultaneously on laptops, with the gameplay displayed on a big screen. First to have 3 wins is the winner.
