Intensive Examination of Rakes in Yard
1. Yard cleanliness (check for vegetation) , lighting adequacy, air compressor with RTR, welding plant/Portable
& track side concrete/metalled pathway.
2. Rolling-In exam of rakes for loose fittings, skidded wheels & hot axles.
3. Hand brake & load empty device working condition and position.
4. Inspection of under gear, wheel condition, springs, lower spring plank, bolster, side bearer, AR tank & brake
rigging.
5. Brake power examination as per procedure, DV working, IOP, brake block condition, SAB ‘A’ dimension &
proper working, Leakage rate, Brake Cylinder & Piston stroke & continuity test.
6. Brake van air pressure gauge quick coupler & GEV working.
7. Condition of side body & doors, floor, condition of Draw & buffing gears, SBC , Yoke & Yoke pin.
8. Complete inspection of running gear fittings.
9. First aid kit, Fire extinguishers, measuring gauges like Tyre defect gauge, examination lights, wheel diameter
gauge in office & Availability of non contact infrared thermometer & Standard Walkie-Talkies.

2. Condition of Rolling Stock. Whether due for IOH/ROH/POH
3. HRE/HRD condition/Working.
4. Condition and working of all machines/tools /spares & kitchen items. Tools/Equipment as per CAMTECH
or standard tool list as prescribed.
5. Maintenance of registers for movement/inspections. Availability of manuals.
6. First aid equipment, fire extinguishers, sufficient staff for maintenance and restoration works.
7. Condition of gas cutting equipment, compressor, detonators, generators, plasma cutting equipment.
8. Availability of VHF, Walkie-Talkies, VSAT communication link setup, laptop, GPS, Sat phones.
9. 140T crane – Precaution for safety operation check list in driver cab, Availability of consumables &
materials for crane.
10. Working condition & self propelling of SPART, Trial run status, Load testing of Crane, mock drills &
inspections.
Platform Train Despatch
1. Availability & Condition of Rolling In & Out Lights & shelter huts.
