with respective to heavy weight, it shall be trailed by the lower capacity lifting equipment).
Column shall be lifted and shall be placed on top of the bottom column and shall be locked it by providing nuts &
       bolts.
The column shall be tied with temporary guy ropes (wire rope) with any rigid structure nearby or (can tie up
even with the bottom level main beam) till fixing the connecting main beam.
Then the rigged slings shall be released from the column by using boom lift, after fixing the connecting beam.
NOTE: - The above mentioned procedure STEP 10 shall be followed for the second column which is to be erected in 1st
level.

column shall be interlocked by nut bolting as per the drawing next to the bottom level 1st column which has
been erected above the bottom level 1st column.
Connecting beam shall be erected (as mentioned in the STEP 9 procedure).
The beam shall be fixed in between two columns erected and shall be interlocking with nut and bolts on either
sides of the beam with the columns erected at the 1st level.
No of Life line posts shall be fixed initially on the beam according before erection of the beam.
This process of erection shall be followed to form a square bay as per erection procedure/sequence and as per
       drawing.
Same procedure shall be followed for all 1st level columns erection.

        flange.
Tag lines shall be tied on either sides of the joist beam to guide the joist beam when it is lifted.
The joist beam shall be lifted by lifting equipment by the guidance of signal man.
Joist Beam shall be erected and shall be fixed to the clits of the main beam at various levels by interlocking with
nut and bolts on either sides with main beams by using boom lift.
Once the joist beam is fixed, slings shall be removed by using boom lift.
NOTE: - Joist’s erection shall be carried out once a square bay is formed in various levels of a mezzanine building.
All the works shall be carried out under proper supervision of erection in-charge and site safety representative.
12:- NUT BOLT TIGHTENING.
Initially nut bolt tightening shall be done manually by using hand tool wrench for columns, beams, joists partially
        and accordingly.
Later on for doing alignment of the building before laying of deck sheets all the nut bolts which are partially
tightened initially at the time of erection shall be fully tightened with recommended torque tightening values by
using pneumatic torque wrench with the help of air compressor .

The joist beam (50kg’s max) which is to be fixed shall be placed in the boom lift basket by manually and 180 to
190 kg including personnel and material shall be lifted by boom lift.
Two work men shall be engaged for the activity along with the joist member in the boom lift.
On reaching the required work location the joist shall be lifted manually & by using the pp rope which has been
secured with the joist & beam by the work man to fix at the position on placing the joist beam accordingly with
the additional civil rods supports provided.
On placing one end in position one person shall support the other end of the joist beam and the other person
(welder) shall weld & fix the angle to the existing full length joist beam in vertical position.
On welding the angle with the joist, the clit end of the small length joist beam shall be welded along with the
        vertically pre welded angle.
As mentioned above the other end of the small joist beam shall be welded & fixed with the angle parallely along
        the full length joist beam.
Full length welding shall be done to the clit end along the angle on either ends.
The above mentioned procedure of steps shall be followed for fixing of all small length joist’s / channels.
NOTE: - Gas cutting & grinding work shall be performed at ground level if required as per hot work method statement as
approved.
