A. Materials.
• Yarn: Sport weight yarn.
A - Etrofil Lanacot ( 019): 76m.
B - Etrofil Savona ( 203) : 15m.
• Dark brown thread.
• Needles: A pair of 2,25mm.
• Tapestry needle.
• Toy stuffing.
• Safety eyes size 6mm.
B. Abbreviations:
• k : knit.
• p : purl.
• k2tog: Knit 2 stitches together.
• ssk: Slip slip knit.
• Kll: Knit left loop increase.
• Krl: Knit right loop increase.
• Cdd : center double decrease.

C. Instruction.
1. Head.

Use yarn A to cast on 26 stitches, leaving a long tail to sewing later.

• Row 1: p26.
• Row 2: k5, ( krl, k1)*2, ( k1, kll)*2, k8, ( krl, k1)*2, ( k1, kll)*2, k5.( 34 stitches)
• Row 3: p34.
• Row 4: k6, krl, k2, krl, k2, kll, k2, kll, k10, krl, k2, krl, k2, kll, k2, kll, k6.( 42 stitches)
• Row 5: p42.
• Row 6: k7, krl, k3, krl, k2, kll, k3, kll, k12, krl, k3, krl, k2, kll, k3, kll, k7.( 50 stitches)
• Row 7: p50.
• Row 8: k8, krl, k4, krl, k2, kll, k4, kll, k14, krl, k4, krl, k2, kll, k4, kll, k8.( 58 stitches)

• Row 27 – Row 35: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 36: k7, ( ssk, k1)*6, ssk, k14, ( k2tog, k1)*6, k2tog, k7. ( 54 stitches)
• Row 37: p54.
• Row 38: k1, ( k2tog)*7, ( ssk)*6, ( k2tog)*6, ( ssk)*7, k1. ( 28 stitches)
• Row 39 – Row 41: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)

Thread the tapestry needle with an 30 cm length of yarn A sew through all of the purl bumps from
the back of row 41 (except first and last stitch), making sure that you sew through each one in the
same direction, here I have used red yarn for contrast.

2. Body.
• Row 42: ( k3, kll)*3, ( k2, kll)*2, k2, ( krl, k2)*2, ( krl, k3)*3. ( 38 stitches)
• Row 43 – Row 47: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 48: k9, kll, k2, krl, k16, kll, k2, krl, k9. ( 42 stitches)
• Row 49 – Row 53: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 54: k6, krl, k10, kll, k10, krl, k10, kll, k6. ( 46 stitches)
• Row 55 – Row 65: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 66: k5, k2tog, k10, ssk, k8, k2tog, k10, ssk, k5. ( 42 stitches)
• Row 67: p42.
• Row 68: k6 casting off as you go ( 1 stitch on right needle and 36 stitches on left needle), kll,
k11, krl, k9 casting off as you go (15 stitches on right needle, 16 stitches on left needle) , kll,
k11, krl, casting off the remaining stitches in Knit. Cut yarn. ( 28 stitches)
3. Legs.
a. Right leg.
• Row 1: With the wrong side of work facing, attach yarn A at the beginning of the Right leg
and p14.
• Row 2- Row 35: Beginning with a Knit row and ending with a Purl row.
Change to yarn B
• Row 36: k1, ( k2, kll, k1)*4, k1. ( 18 stitches)
• Row 37: k18.
• Row 38: p18.
• Row 39- Row 41: Beginning and ending with a Purl row.
• Row 42: k3, ( k1, kll)*2, ( krl, k1)*2, k11. ( 22 stitches)
• Row 43: p22.
• Row 44: k3, ( k1, kll, k1)*2, ( k1, krl, k1)*2, k11. ( 26 stitches)
• Row 45: p26.
• Row 46: k5, kll, k3, kll, ( k2, krl, k1)*2, k12. ( 30 stitches)
• Row 47 – Row 51: Beginning and ending with a Purl row.
• Row 52: k30.
• Row 53: k30.
• Row 54: k1, ssk, k2, ssk, k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k2, ( k2tog, k1)*2, ssk, k3. ( 22
stitches)
• Row 55: p22.

Cut the work from the ball leaving a long tail. Thread this through the remaining 12 stitches and
pull up tightly .Continue using this thread to close the shoe and leg seam using mattress stitch. Stuff
the right leg.

b. Left leg.
• Row 1: With the wrong side of work facing, attach yarn A at the beginning of the Left leg
and p14.
• Row 2- Row 35: Beginning with a Knit row and ending with a Purl row.

Change to yarn B

• Row 36: k1, ( k2, kll, k1)*4, k1. ( 18 stitches)


• Row 37: k18.
• Row 38: p18.
• Row 39- Row 41: Beginning and ending with a Purl row.
• Row 42: k11, ( k1, kll)*2, ( krl, k1)*2, k3. ( 22 stitches)
• Row 43: p22.
• Row 44: k11, ( k1, kll, k1)*2, ( k1, krl, k1)*2, k3. ( 26 stitches)
• Row 45: p26.
• Row 46: k13, kll, k3, kll, ( k2, krl, k1)*2, k4. ( 30 stitches)
• Row 47 – Row 51: Beginning and ending with a Purl row.
• Row 52: k30.
• Row 53: k30.
• Row 54: k2, k2tog, k1, ( k1, ssk)*2, k2, ssk, k1, ssk, k2, k2tog, k1, k2tog, k2, k2tog, k1. ( 22
stitches)
• Row 55: p22.
• Row 56: k1, ( ssk)*5, ( k2tog)*5, k1.
• Row 57: p12.

Cut the work from the ball leaving a long tail. Thread this through the remaining 12 stitches
and pull up tightly. Continue using this thread to close the shoe and the leg seam using mattress
stitch. Stuff the left leg.

Now thread the tapestry needle with your cast on tail and use it to begin closing the seam at the
head and the body using mattress stitch and leaving a gap through which to stuff to the head and the
body.
Thread a tapestry needle with 30cm of yarn A ( here I have used Red yarn for contrast ), use this
thread to close the gap at the top of head.

Stuff the head. At this point you want to tighten the ends of the thread that you sewed across the
back of row 41. Pull gently on both ends until they tighten. Knot the 2 ends of thread together se-
curely before trimming and poke the ends inside the head.

Place the eyes to the head. Use brown thread to embroider the nose and the mouth.
Thread a tapestry needle with a thread from the body and use this thread to close the seam on the
body using mattress stitch.

Stuff the body. Thread a tapestry needle with 30cm of yarn A ( here I have used red yarn for con-
trast ), use this thread to close the gap on the body using Horizontal mattress stitch.

4. Ears. ( make 2 the same)

Use yarn A to cast on 14 stitches.

• Row 1: p14.

• Row 2: k14.

• Row 3: p14.

• Row 4: k2, k2tog, ssk, k2, k2tog, ssk, k2. ( 10 stitches)

• Row 5: p1, ( p2tog)*4, p1. ( 6 stitches)

Cut the work from the ball leaving a long tail. Thread this through the remaining 6 stitches and pull
up tightly .Continue using this thread to close the ear seam using mattress stitch.

Sew the ears onto the head.


5. Arms. ( make 2 the same)

Use yarn A to cast on 10 stitches.

• Row 1: p10.

• Row 2: k3, kll, k4, krl, k3. ( 12 stitches)

• Row 3 – H27: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)

• Row 28: k2, kll, k8, krl, k2. ( 14 stitches)

• Row 29 – Row 31: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)

• Row 32: k1, ( k1, k2tog)*4, k1. ( 10 stitches)

Cut the work from the ball leaving a long tail. Thread this through the remaining 10 stitches and
pull up tightly .Continue using this thread to close the arm seam using mattress stitch. Leave a gap
and stuff the arm lightly, not to stuff top of the arm.

Sew the arm to the body.


Clothes for Nabi.

A. Materials.
• Yarn: Sport weight yarn.
A - Etrofil Bambino Lux wool ( 70314): 35m
B - Etrofil Lanacot (033) : 24m
• Needles: A pair of 2,75mm .
• A small button.
• Tapestry needle.
B. Abbreviations:
• k : knit.
• p : purl.
• k2tog: Knit 2 stitches together.
• ssk: Slip slip knit.
• kll: Knit left loop increase.
• krl: Knit right loop increase.
• cdd : center double decrease.
• yo : yarn over.
• m1a : Make 1 away.
• ( )*….. : Repeat instruction …..times.
C. Pattern.
1. Top.

Before starting cut two 4m length of yarn A to knit sleeves later.

Use yarn A to cast on 32 stitches.

• Row 1: p32.
• Row 2: k32.
• Row 3: p30, yo, p2tog.
• Row 4: k1, ( k2, kll, k1)*10, k1. ( 42 stitches)
• Row 5: p42.
• Row 6: k1, ( k4, kll )*10, k1. ( 52 stitches)
• Row 7: p52.
• Row 8: k1, ( k2, kll, k3)*10, k1. ( 62 stitches)
• Row 9: p62.
• Row 10: k1, ( kll, k6)*10, k1. ( 72 stitches)
• Row 11: p72.

Now, you need to separate the total stitches of the yoke into stitches that will become the body , and
the stitches that will become the arms.
Place 11 stitches ( left front) on hold on a waste yarn– place 15 stitches ( left sleeve) on a needle (
I used double point needles) – place 20 stitches ( back) on hold on waste yarn – place 15 stitches (
right sleeve) on hold on a needle – place 11 stitches ( right front) on hold on waste yarn.

a. Sleeves.
Use a 4m length of yarn A ( I used blue yarn for constrast).

• Row 12: cast on 3 stitches, k15, m1a *3. ( 21 stitches)


• Row 13 – Row 21: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 22: k21.
• Row 23: cast off 21 in Knit.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail . Thread the tapestry needle with the cast off tail join the seam
up to the armpit using mattress stitch.
Make a second sleeve the same.
b. Bodice.

Put 42 stitches that you have on hold on waste yarn back on the needles.

• Row 12: k11, pick up 4 stitches on first sleeve ( I used blue yarn for constrast), k20, pick up
4 stitches on second sleeve, k11. ( 50 stitches)
• Row 13 – Row 23 : Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 24: k50.
• Row 25: Cast off 50 in Knit.

Cut yarn, leaving a long tail . Thread the tapestry needle with this tail and join the seam up the mid-
dle of the back using mattress stitch. Finish the seam at the row 15.

Sew a small button on the top.


2. Pants.
a. First trouser leg.
Use yarn B cast on 26 stitches, leaving a long tail for seaming later.
• Row 1: ( p2, k2)*6, p2. ( wrong side)
• Row 2: ( k2, p2)*6, k2.
• Row 3: ( k2, p2)*6, k2.
• Row 4: k26.
• Row 5 – Row 11: Beginning and ending with a Purl row. ( alternate Purl and Knit
rows)
Cut yarn and keep these 26 stitches on the needle.
b. Second trouser leg.

Follow the instructions as for the first trouser leg above, don’t cut the work from the ball
after completing row 11.

c. Connecting trouser legs.

• Row 12: Beginning of the second trouser leg : k24, ssk, join to the first trouser leg :
k2tog, k24. ( 50 stitches)
• Row 13 – Row 24: Beginning with a Purl row and ending with a Knit row.( alternate
Purl and Knit rows)
• Row 25: k50.
• Row 26: k50.
• Row 27: Cast off 50 in Knit.
Cut the work from the ball leaving a long tail.

Thread the tapestry needle with the cast on of one leg and use it to join the inside leg seam up to the
crotch of the pants. Do the same for the second leg. Tie both ends together inside the pants.

Thread the tapestry needle with the cast off long tail in the row 27 , use this thread to close the seam
up the back of the pants using mattress stitch.
