1. Can you describe the place where you live?

What kind of housing accommodation do you live

in?

Honestly, I live in a normal terrace house which is surrounded by a large number of trees. It has a
lovely living room, a modern/cutting-edge/state-of-the-art kitchen, three cozy bedrooms, a lush
garden.

2. How long have you lived there?

I have lived there for my whole/entire life with my parents as well as my older brother. It’s a
humble house but it contains many of the memories that I really cherish.

3. What can you see from the windows where you live?

Honestly, I live in a very populated area, which is why from the windows of my room, I can
mainly see other dwellings. Moreover, a decent stadium, two moderate restaurants, and a high-
end fashion shop can also be visible from my windows.

4. Which room does your family spend most of the time in?

Our elegant living room for sure! Due to the fact that it is the largest part of the house, we
always partake in a number of activities there, including dining, watching tv, playing some
entertainment games like cards and board games.

5. Do you prefer living in a house or a flat?

To be frank, I will probably choose an ordinary house on the ground because I feel like it is safer
in case of emergency like fire. On top of that, I think living in a house is more comfortable
because in general, I get a larger space to do whatever I want.

6. What do you like about your accommodation? What makes you feel pleasant in your home?
What’s your favorite room in your apartment or house?

It would probably be my own room and the chief reason is that the it gives me my own private
space, in which I can do whatever I want like listening to music, watching movies, playing video
games without being disturbed my others.

7. What do you dislike about your flat/house?

Because my home is very close to the main road, our family is sometimes affected by the dust
and noise produced by the vehicles outside, which is kind of annoying. Other than that, there is
basically nothing else to complain about it.

8. Do you plan to live there for a long time?

Probably yes, because it is the place that I grew up, so it contains many of my beautiful
memories with the people that I love. More importantly, as a typical Asian, I want to remain here
so that I can take care of my parents in the future.

9. What would you like to change in your flat/house?

If I had the chance, I would like my house to be significantly expanded, so that we could
rearrange our furniture a little bit more efficiently. On top of that, it would be very nice if we
could have a private gym in order to keep ourself fit.

10. What color would you choose to paint the walls of your room?

If I have the chance, I will probably opt for bright yellow. The reason is because it will make my
house much more elegant and less creepy compared to other traditional colors in Vietnamese
homes like light grey or navy blue.

11. What color would you never use in your home?

The color that I will never apply to my home is white because it is extremely easy to get dirty. For
example, a slight touch from the hand can easily leave a smear on the surface, which can be very
annoying and difficult to clean off.

12. Are the transport facilities to your home very good?

Absolutely not. From what I’ve seen, those facilities are pretty old and outdated. On top of that,
the services are not good at all. For example, the trains and buses here are not always on
time/punctual, so you will often have quite a wait.

13. Do you think it is important to live in a comfortable environment?

Definitely, better living conditions can dramatically enhance your life. For example, a cozy
dwelling environment can significantly improve my mental health, which in return, can lead to
better performance at work or study.
