- Summons no longer generate Tension.

- Some of the turn/round rules have been edited to clarify some elements that
wern’t immediately clear without reading the enemy rules first (namely enemy
actions and when exactly a round ends).

- The first page of the narrators section has been removed and replaced with an
expanded section on Antagonists and how to make them.

- Antagonist Edges now have 3 free uses per scene and can be used further at the
cost of Antagonism.

- The “sucsessfully” and “on a success” conditions has been dropped from all combat
techniques, since the only realistic way to fail actions (mostly attacks) was a
full evasion dodge, and evasion rules already cover the removal of rider effects.

- Thunder Blood has been reworked.

- Dramaturge 3 now works off of casts and not interact.

- Flame Heart 3 has been reworded.

- The Blessed’s “Convienient Transport” has been reworked and renamed.

- Most of the engine enemies who can gain additional attacks per round have had
their abilities reworked.

- The maximum experience per chapter has been changed from 5 to 4.

- A distinction has been added between enemies and NPCs (all enemies are NPCs, some
NPCs are summons, who are not enemies).

- The “Your life is in danger” condition has been replaced with “You are sweating”

- Dragonslayer 1 has been buffed.

- Knife Juggler 3 triggers are now treated as punishes.

- Hide has had it's no-attack conditional replaced with a “you didn't start your
turn hidden” conditional, this should hopefully cover a wider variety of fully
hidden strategies.

- Enemies can now search for disappeared characters by spending 2 ap, removing the
effect.

- The Wild-Eyed edge now uses enemies that exist.

- “World Creation” has been added to the end of the worlds of dawn section.

- The “Call” techniques have all been reworked, this has also changed Guardian
Angel into a Call technique.

- Spellcrafter has been reworked.

- Spellsword 1 has been reworked and moved to it’s level 2.

- The Accursed’s “Uncontrollable Power” has been rewritten to better accommodate


expanding abilities.

- Mana Blades has been entirely reworked.

- Mollycoddler 1 Has been given a small Focus cost.

- Chemist 1 has been buffed.

- Mind Breaker 2 has been reworked.

- Talisman caster has been renamed to Talisman Exorcist.

- Skirmish now specifies that punishes must target the character you’re punishing.

- All instances of “gain no focus” have been replaced with”replace it’s effect
with” to cover alternate focus types (2nd times the charm).

- “Cryomancer” has been renamed to “Frost Veiler” to match the “X Yer” format of
other elemental Techneques.

- New Disruptor Techneque “Light Bender”.

- Cocoon has been reworded to show it only heals once.

- Guardian’s “Guardian Shield” action has been reworked.

- The “Slime” NPC type has been replaced with “Spright” since it was a lame enemy
to use and to move away from the D&D fantasy vibe that comes from it.

- New Antagonist Edge: “Over-Confident”.

- Grim Ascendant 3 now only targets enemies.

- Chronomancer 2 has been reworked.

- Wild-Eyed’s Clash reaction now works and gives the enemy a Spirit Value.

- Ego Arm has been entirely reworked.

- Gunslinger 1 and 3 have been reworked.

- Bruiser’s Action can now only target adjacent characters.

- Enemies have had their scaling rewritten to match how players show their scaling

- Ronin has been reworked.

- Pugilist, Ranger, Executioner, Captor, Bodyguards, Glutton, Paladin, Bannerman,


and Baron have been changed to make their old or new on-attack effects only trigger
on targets who haven’t been attacked in the round.

- Compassionate Caster 2 & 3 has been buffed.

- New Altruist Techneque “Sage-like Aegis”.

- Regenerating now heals you for 4 + Tier.

- Cunning Fighter 3 has been reworekd.


- Reflector 1 now functions with Mind.

- Crusher 1 and 3 have been nerfed.

- The example combat build in the book have been replaced with recipes that let you
build a wider variety of characters based on 1 of two setups for each Attribute.

- Attacks no longer need to target enemies.

- Clash now has no range limit.

- New Vagabond Techneque: Metalurgist.

- Skirmisher 3 has been reworked.

- Mollycoddler 2 and 3 have been reworked.

- Frost Veiler 3 has been buffed.

- Another 4 Combat Scenarios have been added.

- NPC tags have been replaced with a descriptive tagline.

- Compassionate Caster has been renamd to Compassionate Sage.

- Chronomancer has been renamed to Tempral Sage.

- Moncastic Sage has been reworked and renamed to Moncastic Warrior.

- Drunkard no longer lets you move diagonally.

- “✢” words are now optional, meaning you can include conditions with them.

- Supernatural Deafness now gives 1 less Character Rank.

- The skill examples have been reworked and rewritten to be the base skills for
every character, with custom written skills now being an optional rule.

- Study can no longer be used by taking Stress.

- Stress now specifies that it dosen’t give Influence when self inflicted.

- Virtuoso 1 and 2 have been reworked.

- Grim Ascendant 1 and 2 have been reworked.

- The things offered when “putting it on the line” have been changed.

- Duels are now listed as an attack action.

- Guard Dog has been renamed to Loyal.

- Assisted actions now use the assistant’s highest Attribute.

- Duelist has been reworked.
