Abstract-
Bot FC is an exciting robotic soccer showdown where players skillfully navigate their bots across
the arena, control the ball, and outmaneuver opponents with agility and precision. Score goals,
defend your territory, and showcase your strategic gameplay in this high-energy competition!
Bots must be within 3 kg and adhere to a max size of 35cm × 30cm × 30cm (5% margin of
error). Get ready to showcase your engineering and strategy skills on the field!

Participants : Group (Minimum 2 TO Maximum 4)

Category:Wireless Robo-Soccer

Event Timeline (14th to 16th February 2025):


The event will be conducted in three rounds.
1) Day1:Round 1 (Elimination Round): The teams which are selected in the first
round will qualify for the semi-finals.
2) Day2:Round 2 (Semi-Final Round): The teams which are selected in round two will
qualify for the third round.
3) Day3:Round 3 (Final Round): The final round will be held(It may or may not have multiple
rounds). No third place match will take place.

Arena Specifications and Dimensions :


●​ The arena will be of 9ft x 6ft dimensions with a 0.2m height boundary.
●​ The ball will be revealed on the spot. The diameter of the ball will not be more than
10cm.
●​ The goalpost will be of 0.3m and height 0.15m.

Rules and Regulation:


1)​ Each team can consist of 2-4 members who collaborate to design and program their
soccer bot. One team can have only one soccer bot.
2)​ Each team must declare the name of their team at the time of registration.
3)​ The bot must have a distinct identification mark and be easily distinguishable from other
bots.
4)​ Judges and organisers' decisions throughout the event shall be considered absolute and
binding.
5)​ Soccer bots must adhere to specific size and weight limitations, ensuring a levelled
playing field.
6)​ Each team should carry valid ID cards.
7)​ The organizers have the right to disqualify the robot whose working mechanism or game
strategy seems hazardous according to rules and regulations.
8)​ Each team must have a single robot to play and move inside the arena i.e. (the game will
be in 1 vs 1 format).

Gameplay :
1)​ The robot has to begin from its respective position and reach the opponent’s goal post
with the ball either by dragging or hitting the ball.
2)​ Soccer bots must not remain immobile for more than 5 seconds during the match,
ensuring continuous action and engagement. Being immobile for more than 5 seconds
would result in point reduction based on each second.
3)​ Each match will be played for 5 minutes, having two halves each of 2.5 minutes. There
will be a 2 minute break at half-time.
4)​ If the score is tied after 5 minutes of play, an additional 2 minutes will be given. If the
tie persists, a penalty shootout of 5 rounds will be conducted. If the scores remain
level after that, a sudden death penalty shootout will determine the winner.
5)​ Penalty Rule: The bot must begin from its own half and score a goal within 10 seconds
without interference from the opposing bot.
6)​ Teams may take a timeout during the match, but it will result in a point deduction. If the
timeout exceeds 5 minutes, the team will be disqualified.
7)​ The goal will be considered only if the ball crosses the line of the goal-post completely.
8)​ The referee evaluates goals, gameplay, and adherence to the rules to determine the
winners and his judgment remains final.
9)​ If the ball goes out of the arena at any point during the match, it will be repositioned at
the center altering the bots' positiwithout ons.
10)​The opponent is allowed to bump into the bot if it is within the home team's box, typically
when attempting to block a goal.
Judging Criteria :
●​ +10 points for each goal scored.
●​ -2 points for intentionally touching/damaging the opponent’s robot.
●​ -2 points for intentionally damaging the arena.
●​ -1 points if the ball leaves the arena and it will be given to the robot that is in contact
with the ball before it leaves the arena.
●​ -1 points for each minute taken as timeout for bot repair during the match. If the bot fails
to return to the arena within 5 minutes, it will be disqualified.
●​ -1 point each second the bot is immobile more than the allowed time.
The team with the most points will advance to the next round.

Bot Specifications :
1)​ Only wireless bots with a maximum battery voltage of 25V are acceptable. No Power
Supply will be provided during the event, neither for the bot nor for the remote.
2)​ The Maximum weight of the bot allowed is 3 kg with a tolerance of 5%.
3)​ Maximum dimensions of the bot should not exceed 35 cm * 30 cm * 30 cm (L*B*H) of
5% tolerance.
4)​ Robots must not be constructed from any pre-made assembly kits, emphasising
originality and creativity.
5)​ Push or power-up mechanisms are not allowed.
6)​ The ball holder must be fixed, and any enclosing mechanism around it is not
permitted.

Team Details:
1)​ Each team can have a maximum of 4 members and minimum of 2 members.
2)​ Students from different Institutes can be a part of the same team
3)​ Only two team members are allowed to handle the bot.
4)​ A student cannot be a member of two teams.

Common Rules:
●​ All Participants must be part of an educational institution and must show and carry
proof during registration.
●​ Participants must carry their respective college ID cards.
●​ Nothing other than the bot is allowed inside the arena.
●​ Participants must report to the venue 1 hour before the bot registration.
●​ The organiser’s decision is final in case of any disputes.
●​ Organisers reserve the right to change rules if necessary and it will be notified to the
registered teams.
●​ The participants are solely responsible for the safety of their robots and equipment. The
organisers are not responsible for any incidents/accidents caused by participants or their
equipment.
●​ Each event has safety inspections. It is at your sole discretion that your robot is allowed
to compete. As a builder, you are obligated to disclose to the inspection staff.
●​ All the resources provided at the time of competition by the organizers should be strictly
used only after the consent of the organizers.

Timings:

●​ Attendees are required to report by 9:00 AM at the designated desk on 14/02/2025.


●​ Participants are allotted a 1-hour time for registration and bot verification.
●​ Competition will commence at 10:00 AM sharp; no extensions will be granted for late
arrivals.

Prize Money:
Prize pool is INR 30,000 and will be divided as:

Abstract:
Race through a thrilling course, dodging obstacles and conquering challenges to reach the
ultimate destination in record time!
Bot Burnout is the ultimate adventure, where speed meets strategy. Navigate the twists and
turns, outsmart obstacles, and revel in the adrenaline rush of the fastest journey you'll ever
experience !
But keep in mind, the bot should be wireless, the maximum weight of bot allowed is 2kg and
the dimensions of the bot should not exceed 40cm*30cm*30cm with an error margin of 5%.

Category:Wireless RC Bot Race.

Event Timeline(14th to 16th February 2025):​

Arena Specifications:

Round 1:
The arena will consist of 6 parts:
●​ Sand tray
●​ Tunnel
●​ Hanging bridge
●​ Small bumps
●​ Angled inclination
●​ Inclined circular path

Round 2 : (Will be Revealed on the spot)


Round 3 : (Will be Revealed on the spot)
Rules and Regulation:

●​ Any team will be disqualified if their bot does not adhere to the weight and dimension
limit.
●​ Team of maximum 4 participants & a minimum of 2 participants .
●​ No damage should be made by a bot to the arena or to other teams’ bots during the
match in any manner.
●​ Bots should not be disassembled until the results are declared.
●​ When a team is called for a match, they must report to the arena immediately.
●​ Judges/manager’s decisions will be final in case of any discrepancy.

Gameplay :
●​ The maximum time to complete the whole track will be 6 minutes.
●​ The bot must start from the starting point and begin moving when the timer starts.
●​ There is a checkpoint after each obstacle. On successfully passing each checkpoint, 5
points will be awarded to the team.
●​ If a bot is stuck/gone out of track, a hand touch or a tech time-out is allowed. Teams will
be allowed to touch the bot not more than 4 times and 1 tech time-out is allowed
per team.
●​ One hand touch will allow the player to place their bot at the previous checkpoint. A tech
time-out will provide the player a duration of 2 minutes to perform necessary repairs to
their bot, after which the bot will be placed at the previous checkpoint.
●​ For each hand touch, 3 points are deducted.
●​ For a tech time-out, a total of 5 points are deducted.
●​ If the bot collides with the arena or damages any part of it, 2 points will be deducted.
●​ A team is allowed to restart the match only once and 5 points will be deducted in doing
so.
Judging Criteria :

●​ +5 points will be awarded for completion of each checkpoint.


●​ -3 points will be deducted for each hand touch.
●​ -5 points will be deducted for a tech time-out.
●​ -2 points will be deducted for arena damage/collison.
●​ -5 points will be deducted for a restart.
●​ Final score:
○​ Final score= A+B+C

A = (((360-Total time taken to complete the course)/360)*(5*Total number of checkpoints


in the arena on that day))
B = Total points awarded
C = Total points deducted

Note: Point A will be considered only if the team completes the tasks within the
stipulated time period of 360 seconds.
Bot Specifications :
●​ Only wireless bots are acceptable with a maximum battery voltage of 24V.
●​ The Maximum weight of bot allowed is 2kg.
●​ Maximum dimensions of the bot should not exceed 40 cm * 30 cm * 30 cm (L*B*H).
●​ For motors, there is no restriction on the speed (High torque motors will be better for the
terrain).
●​ The terrain will be uneven and unduly.
●​ The robot should reach the finish point in minimum time and overcome the max amount
of obstacles.
●​ No Power Supply will be provided during the event, neither for the bot nor for the
remote.

Team details:
●​ Each team is required to have a Minimum of 2 members and a Maximum of 4
members.
●​ Students from different Institutes can be a part of the same team.
