“RESOLUTION CONCURRING THE APPOINTMENT OF MELVA M.


ALMEDILLA AND NANCY B. BAYANG AS BARANGAY NUTRITION SCHOLAR
OF BARANGAY CANAWAY, KITCHARAO, AGUSAN DEL NORTE.”

WHEREAS, Chapter 2 Section 387 (b) of the Local Government Code of 1991
provides that the Sangguniang Barangay may form community brigades and creates
such other positions of offices as may be deemed necessary to carry out the purpose of
the barangay government in accordance with the needs of public service, subject to the
budgetary limitations and personal services prescribed under Title Five, Book II of this
Code;

WHEREAS, PD 1569 aimed to provide at least one (1) Barangay Nutrition


Scholar (BNS) per barangay and such BNS shall be responsible for planning and
coordination, advocacy and promotion, monitoring end evaluation and resource m
community mobilization of community nutrition programs and activities;
WHEREAS, Charlemin P. Morales, Punong Barangay appoints Melva M. Almedilla
and Nancy B. Bayang as the Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) and submitted the same
appointment to this august body for review and concurrence, to wit;

WHEREAS, after thorough study and deliberations, this Sanggunian found that
the appointee satisfies the minimum qualification requirements as provided for under
the Local Government Code of 1991;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion of Kagawad Carmelita D. Dagangon duly


seconded by all members present; BE IT RESOLVED AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to
concur to the appointment issued by Punong Barangay for Melva M. Almedilla and
Nancy B. Bayang as Barangay Nutrition Scholar;

RESOLVED FURTHER, to send copies of this Resolution to all the officials and
offices of the government concerned for their information.

ADOPTED. JANUARY 8, 2024.
