I-am writing to refer Ms Duval, a 24 -years - old, engineering student, who presented with symptoms and signs Comment [OET2]: year

Ms Duval has a history of anxiety and insomnia for which she takes sleeping pills occasionally. Comment [OET4]: possible

Ms Duval condition started since 31-05- 2014 with hand tremor with episodic palpitations, sweeting, heat Comment [OET5]: initially presented on
intolerance and persistent fatigue. no need to change paragraph Comment [OET6]: sweating

Her examination revealed enlarged non-tender goiter and hand tremor. In addition, her eye examination
illustrated some exophthalmos with lid lag. ECG, blood test together with thyroid tests were ordered. Comment [OET7]: and

Ms Duval reviewed after one day, she looks anxious, her ecg showed sinus tacky cardiac and blood tests were
normal.

Her TSH was low <0,05 AND FREE T3 and free T4 were high (FT3 is 15pmol and FT4 is 40 pmol). Comment [OET8]: was reviewed and her
TFT results showed elevated T3 and T4 with
In view of the above it would be gratefull if you can assess and manage Ms Duval as soon as possible. low TSH while ECG showed sinus tachycardia.
As the result, thyroid auto-antibodies plus
thyroid scan were ordered.
