Creating a layer cake from scratch can seem like a difficult task, but with
a few key tools, the process can be made a lot easier!

Below I've outlined the specialist equipment required in this course to


successfully create a layer cake.

1 - Cake Pans: For the three layer cake I will be demonstrating in this
course, I used three 6 inch cake pans. You can use whichever size cake
pans you have, but you will need to have at least 2 of the same size.

2 - Mixer (either a hand mixer or bench mixer), with a whisk attachment.

3 - Turntable

4 - Cake spatula

5 - Cake scraper

6 - Cake board / flat plate to decorate your cake on
