Tools and yarn:

Yarn Art Jeans -

1.8oz/174yds (50g /160m):

No74 (pale pink),

No 87 (beige),

No53 (black) – not much, for

making a nose,

No01 (white) – for making

eyes,

No73 (peach) – for cheeks.

You can take some other

cotton yarn with the same

yardage.

- Crochet hook size 2.5 mm = US B/1 (UK 12);

- a needle for sewing the parts of the toy and a long needle for

- tightening the muzzle (I take a needle that is used for stitching

- documents);

- 9 - 10 mm safety eyes;

- 55 – 60 mm wooden teething ring (I take beech rings) (Pic.1);

- rattle inserts (I take one 34 mm or two 24-26 mm rattle balls),

- or 30-34 mm rattle boxes or make the rattle insert myself (I fill

- a Kinder Surprise egg with small beads and tape it tightly so it

- can’t be opened) (Pic.2)

Abbreviations:

1. sc – single crochet;

Row 26: 6 dec, pull the thread tightly and cut.

Insert safety eyes between Rows 14 and R 15 of the head at the

distance of 8 sc from each other (Pic.4). While making the head

insert the rattle box (rattle ball or container with beads) inside

the head (try to put it right in the center) (Pic.3) and stuff it

with fiberfill.
1) Cast on 20 ch + 1 ch ;

2) 6 rows - 20 sc each;

3) Start every new row with 1 ch.


Ears
Row 1: 6 sc in mc (6)

Row 2: 6 inc (12)

Row 3: 12 sc (12)

Row 4: (3 sc, inc) х 3 (15)

Row 5: 15 sc

Row 6: (4 sc, inc) х 3 (18)

Fold the ear in half and make 7-8 sc. Then fold again and sew.

Sew the ears to the head at a slight angle at the level of the 5th

row of the head.


Crochet with back and forth rows:

Row 1: cast on 20 ch + 1 ch;

Row 2: from the 2nd ch from hook: 3 sc in every stitch (60

stitches);

Row 3: 2 ch, start from the 2nd ch from hook: (1dc, inc(dc)) –

to the end of the row;

Row 4: 2 ch, start from the 2nd ch from hook: - (2 dc, inc(dc))

– to the end of the row.

Muzzle design:
1. Embroider a nose between the 15th and 16th rows of the

head.

2. Embroider eye brows 2 rows above the eyes.

3. Embroider the whites of the eyes with white thread.

4. You can make the cheeks (7 sc in mc) if you want.


BOW

1. 4 sc in mc;

2. 4 dtc into the circle;

3. 4 ch, sl st;

4. 4 ch, 4 dtc into a circle;

5. 4 ch, sl st;

6. Pull the circle tightly and wrap the thread around the

center of the bow.
