ABSTRACT
This internship report presents the practical learning experience gained during a
15-week internship at Vinay Construction, involving a G+4 residential building
project located in Hebbal Kempapura, Bengaluru. As a final-year Civil Engineering
student at Government Engineering College, affiliated with Visvesvaraya
Technological University (VTU), this internship served as a vital opportunity to
bridge academic knowledge with real-world construction practices. The primary
objective was to observe, understand, and participate in various phases of
construction, including structural work, reinforcement detailing, concreting, and
site supervision. The program also emphasized essential aspects of project
management, time coordination, safety protocols, and teamwork. Through active
engagement with engineers, supervisors, and laborers, the internship enhanced
technical and interpersonal skills while offering deep insights into the dynamics of
on-site construction activities. This hands-on experience has significantly
contributed to my professional growth and provided clarity and confidence for a
future career in civil engineering.
