Your companion is attempting their initial solo cooking

endeavor. Offer him/her guidance on meal preparation.
If you're trying your first solo cooking adventure, don’t worry—keep
it simple and fun! Start with an easy recipe like spaghetti with
tomato sauce or scrambled eggs with toast. Before you begin, read
the entire recipe so you know what to expect. Prepare all your
ingredients in advance—this is called "mise en place"—and it really
helps reduce stress. Make sure you have all the tools ready, like a
cutting board, knife, and pots or pans. Also, stay safe: always handle
knives carefully and don’t leave things unattended on the stove. It’s
okay if it doesn’t turn out perfect. Cooking takes practice, and even
mistakes help you learn. Just enjoy the process—and don’t forget to
clean up as you go. You’ve got this!

Recall a time when you navigated through a cultural festival

in a country you were visiting. Describe the array of
activities, the food you tried, and the interactions you had.
Reflect on how this experience enriched your understanding
of the culture.
Last year, I attended the Disney Eco Beverage Festival in Orlando,
and it was such a unique experience. The event focused on
sustainability and featured eco-friendly food and drink options from
around the world. I tried a plant-based burger that was surprisingly
delicious, along with organic fruit smoothies served in reusable
cups. There were also workshops on recycling and reducing plastic
waste, and I even got to chat with a Disney cast member who
explained how the park is working toward being more
environmentally friendly. The atmosphere was festive, with live
music, colorful displays, and people from all over sharing ideas. This
festival really opened my eyes to how fun and engaging
environmental awareness can be, and it deepened my respect for
cultures that prioritize sustainability.
iYour friend is considering some options for his daily travel
to work. Considering the environment, you are leaning
towards an electric scooter, but you also support the idea of
public transport. Pick one of these two options. On the next
page, you will convince your friend to consider your option
Hey! I really think you should consider using an electric scooter for
your daily commute. It’s environmentally friendly, super convenient,
and saves you time. You won’t have to wait for buses or trains, and
it gives you more flexibility with your schedule. Plus, most scooters
are compact and easy to store, so you can take them into the office
or even charge them at your desk. Over time, it’s cheaper too—you
don’t pay for gas or transit fares. And let’s not forget, riding a
scooter can actually be fun and give you a bit of fresh air in the
morning! If your route is safe and not too long, this could be the
perfect option for you and for the planet.

You've been offered two job opportunities: one abroad with

travel opportunities, and one locally with a higher salary.
Your spouse prefers you to stay local Choose ONE: EITHER
Convince your spouse of the personal and professional
growth potential of the international job. OR Persuade
yourself that the local job with a higher salary is the better
option for your family's stability.
I know you prefer that I take the local job, but I really believe the
international opportunity could be life-changing for us. It offers the
chance to grow professionally, learn new skills, and expand my
network, which could open even better career paths in the future.
Personally, experiencing a new culture could be enriching for both of
us—and for the kids too, if we decide to go as a family later on. The
travel opportunities also mean I can explore without it affecting our
finances. I understand the local job pays more now, but the
international experience can lead to even greater opportunities in
the long run. Let’s think about the big picture and how this could
help us grow, not just financially, but as a family.

Should learning institutions implement exclusively remote

education when technologically feasible? What is your
opinion?
In my opinion, learning institutions should not implement exclusively
remote education, even if it’s technologically feasible. While online
learning offers flexibility and convenience, it can never fully replace
the value of in-person interaction. Being on campus helps students
build social skills, collaborate more effectively, and stay motivated
through face-to-face engagement with peers and instructors. Many
students also benefit from hands-on learning, especially in fields like
science, art, or medicine, which is difficult to replicate online. A
blended approach—combining online and in-person learning—would
be more effective. It provides flexibility while maintaining the human
connection and practical experience that are essential to quality
education.

(Speaking Task 1 - Giving Advice):

Your friend wants to improve their English, but they don’t have much time because of work and
family. Give your friend some advice on how they can still make progress.

Hello! I heard you want to study English but don't have much time.
My advice is to set clear goals and find a balance. For instance, you
can listen to podcasts or watch short YouTube videos during your
breaks. There are three main channels I recommend that will boost
your vocabulary and pronunciation. One of them is called "Why
English?"—it’s fantastic for learning new words. Another one is "We
Still...". These resources can help you improve your English and take
it to the next level!
