About the Design

When I first tried on this Ardiente Wrap it reminded me of a Spanish Girl. The color and the ways of wearing it
took me there. With Spain in mind and this passionate red, I chose to name it the Ardiente Wrap. Ardiente in
means “burning” in Spanish and since the yarn color is named Sea of flames, I thought the name was perfect!

The Wrap has a simple design. It’s basically a rectangle. So you will have to start with the number of stitches
needed to get the desired width and work as many rows as you want until you get to the desired length.

A wrap is so versatile. You can wear it as a scarf to keep you warm on colder days or just over the shoulders
as a chic accessory for summer evenings. You can even use it as a bikini cover on the beach.

Final measurements

The Ardiente Wrap can be made as wide or long as you wish. The one I made has the following
measurements:

Width = 35 cm
Length = 145 cm

These measurements were taken before blocking the piece.

About the stitches

For this pattern we will use a lace stitch which is formed by combining some stitches, as 2 wide double crochet
and V stitch, connected with chain sts. Below you will find a stitch chart:

Now that we have all the details in place, let’s get started!

Pattern notes

Ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as first dc.

After finishing the desired length, make a border in single crochet, all around the rectangle. If you want you can
choose another stitch pattern for the border. To complete the Ardiente Wrap I put some fringe at the ends.

I made the fringe by cutting 8 strands of yarn at almost 30 cm, and then attached them to the wrap. How? Fold
the strands in half, insert the loop through the wrap hole, then grab the ends and pull them through the loop.
Tie. After putting all fringes, I made some knots using half of the strands from one fringe and half from the next
one.

And the Ardiente Wrap is done. If you want and feels like needed, you can block the piece, so the stitches lines
nice and to get the final shape and look.
