Verb to be:

The “to be” is a verb used to describe something or someone.

The most common use of the “to be” verb is to talk about names, ages, feelings,
nationalities, and profession.

I am happy. X I am short.

Examples:

I am nervous. We are friends.


You are a teacher. You are teachers.
She is Clara. They are John and Susie.
He is Brazilian. They are Australian.
It is brown. They are brown cats.
