Thiru. R.GANDHI, M.Sc Rtd Professor Aged 69 years son of N.Ramasamy

The Name of the Trust shall be “SRI SELVAGANAPATHY
EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL SERVICE TRUST”

.. The trust is functioning presently in a rented building at Door.No.16-7/07(1),
Sundaram Nagar, Singampunari, Thiruppathur Taluk, Sivagangai District.
The trust may open additional offices or branched at any time at any place or
places within India as it may think fit for operation of this trust.

. OBJECTS OF THE TRUST
a) To empower the youth towards excellence
b) To conduct leadership training programme for school and college students.
c) To conduct inter school/college quiz competitions.
d) To promote sports interest among students.
©) To provide legal aid and legal awareness to the weaker sections of the
people.
f) To promote and carry on training programmes, short-term courses, conduct
workshops, seminars and conferences for the youth in order to alleviate
unemployment and underemployment to a large extent.
g) To support the Self. Help Group and Young Entrepreneurs to succeed in their
endeayors through training, providing finance help and to link them with
banks.”

industrial training institute of the ordinary and technologically high

any discrimination as caste, creed, sex or nationality.

in cash or kind to students with a view to help them in prosecuting their
studies in schools, colleges, educational institutions, technical institutions,
art schools, institutions teaching commercial and other arts including
teaching of cultural arts music or other training research or educational
works in India..
m) To promote & train the people in the field of Export ~ Import Trade shipping
& logistics, supply chain management and its related fields.
n) To conduct and organize national and International Level seminars,
conferences, awareness camp, buyer — seller meets, T.V.Shows,
International market visit, for the development of export & import trade and
its related fields.
0) To assist peoples / organization who are involving in the import and export
trade and it’s related fields in the form of consulting services, market report
survey, product analysis, buyer identifications, etc....,

getting better employment and also to become a good entrepreneur.

rehabilitate them through necessary vocational, academic and spiritual
education, in the main stream of the society as self-reliant and respectable

To establish Orphanages, Homes and Hostels for aged, blind, handicapped,
the destitute men, women and children.
u) To start build construct, expand, renovate, alter run, manage and take over
homes for the poor, aged, handicapped, orphans, widows, lepers, and street
children and impart them income generating skills and train in handicrafts.
v) To provide homes for windows and other destitute women and to provide
them vocational training in order to make themselves reliant and self-
supporting,
w) To promote Health and Hygiene through free medical camps, aids control
programme distribution of medicine, running health care centers, sanitation,
and childcare nutrition.
x) To rehabilitate the physically handicapped, the destitute, the orphans, the
widows, the old and displaced women.
y) To organize and maintain institution for the training of child and women
workers and to encourage their employment for child and women welfare.
z) To impart education to children and women, provide homes for them
including planning the children with families for being adopted by them and
undertake all such schemes, projects, programmers on a scientific benefits.
4, THE OBJECTS INCIDENTAL OF ANCILLARY TO THE ABOVE
MAIN OBJECTS ARS AS FOLLOWS :
a) To open, operate and close accounts of any description with any bank or
banks for the Trust.»

b) To solicit, recéive, hold and disburse funds to promote the objects stated
above and to hold funds and investments in trust for the said objects.
c) To appeal for and rise funds, subscriptions, donations and grants as the
Trustees may think fit.
ees4) To acquire any movable and immovable properties by purchase lease, hire,
exchange or otherwise deal with and to pull down, erect, alter, and maintain
buildings anywhere in India for the use of the Trust.
e) To raise loans and / or advances or financial assistances from individuals,
Trust, Associations, Society, Banks, other Financial Institutions &
Government for the furtherance of the objects of the Trust
f) To draw, make, accept, discount, endorse, negotiable, sell, execute and issue
bills of exchange promissory notes, cheques, warrants, debentures and other
negotiable or transferable instruments or securities.
2) To subscribe, give donations financially or otherwise to any society / Trust
which is having similar objects.
h) To do all such acts, deed and things as or may be deemed necessary
incidental or conductive to the attainment of all or any of the objects and
purpose of the Trust.
i) The Objects / activities of the Trust shall be carried out only in India.
5. PROPERTIES :
The founder has contributed to this trust a sum of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One
thousand only) The Movable and the Immovable assets of the Trust herein
consists of the said sum of Rs.1000/- bequeathed by the founder and such sums
are assets as may be contributed and gifts of all kind which may be received in
future from individuals corporate Bodies, Companies in India. Or Abroad and
all interest or income arising out of the said sum and investments and all assets
that may be purchased or acquired from and out of the said funds or otherwise
acquired for the Trust and all sums and Assets which have by any means
become the property of the Trust. At present this trust do not have any movable
or immovable property except the corpus fund Rs. 1000/- only.
6. BOARD OF TRUSTEES
a. All the 6 Trustées mentioned above shall constitute the Board of Trustees. If
any vacancies arises in the Board of Trustees by Retirement or otherwise of
ably trustee, the surviving trustees shall appoint another person in the above
vacaindy. If the Board of Trustees wishes to appoint more trustees to this
trust, the number of trustees not more than eleven.

. The management and control of the affairs and funds of the trust shall be
subject to the control and direction of the board of trustees.
. The Board of Trustees is empowered to Co-opt Trustees for the trust and fix
the terms of their appointment.
|. The Board of Trustees has power to appoint any other person as trustees,
subject to the ceiling at any time as he wishes.
. In the ease of resignation or any vacancy arises, etc., the trustees of the
Board has the power to appoint a person in his/her place as Trustee.
The Board of Trustees shall have power to appoint/remove committee
members for all committees and sub-committees of the Trust.
The Trustees may reimburse themselves and pay and discharge out of the
Trust funds all expenses incurred by them in or about the execution of the
Trust work / activities.
. The Board shall advise and render guidance to the Secretary for conduct of
the said Trust from time to time. The Board shall empower the Secretary to
carry out the day to day business and Treasurer for maintenance of account.
In the absence of Secretary and Treasurer to nominate any one of the Trustee
to carry out the day to day business and maintenance of Accounts.
MANAGEMENT :
Subject to the provisions therein, the board of Trustees shall be entitled to
exercise all such power and do all such acts and things as are necessary to
carry out the above mentioned objects.
The Board of Trustees shall meet at least once in a year within 6 months
from the end of financial year for approving the statement of accounts.
. The Board of Trustees shall nominate any one as Executing Officer of the
Board and he shall be responsible for the custody, of records and properties
of the Trust and they shall have power and authority for and on behalf of the
Board: :
i) To carry out the resolutions of the Board.
ii) To'sigit papers, recéipts and documents.
iii) To receive and pay out money
iy) To initiate prosecute and defend, compromise refer to arbitration or
eeabandon legal proceedings or disputes AND
v) To execute all documents on behalf of the Board

|. The annual report and audited statement of accounts shall be presented to
and passed by the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees shall decide the
time and place of meeting.
e. The board shall appoint Auditor(s) and fix/their remuneration every year in
their Annual meeting.
f. To appoint any sub-committee and to delegate subject to such conditions as
they think fit, any of their powers to these sub-committees.
g. The entire control, regulation, Management, application and administration
of the Trust properties whether capital or income, rent, interest or profit of
any kind shall be in the discretion of the Board of trustees for their objects of
their trust.
h. To accept funds in the form of loans, grants or donations, in cash or kind on
its own behalf or other agencies from national and international Banks.
8. BANK ACCOUN’
Bank Account shall be opened in any Bank/s account in the name of Trust
and operate by the Secretary and Treasurer Jointly. In their absence the Founder
Trustee and any one from the trust shall operate.
9. INVESTMENTS AND MANAGEMENT OF FUNDS :
a. The trustees shall, out of the income of the Trust Funds pay in the first
instance all costs, charges and expenses of and incidental to the
administration of the trust, management of the Trust Funds and utilize the
net income for such public charitable object or objects or public chartable
purpose mentioned above. ~

The funds of the Trust shall be invested in accordance with provisions of
section 11 (5) read with section 13 (1)(d) of the Income Tax Act 1961.
c. The Board shall also determine from time to time the amount it shall spend
on the various aspects of the Trust.10.ACCOUNTS AND AUDIT :
a. The trustees shall maintain the true and correct account of all income,
expenditure, assets and liabilities of the Trust. The cash and bank
transactions and all the other financial transactions of the trust shall be
recorded and maintained in accordance with the normally accepted
accounting principles. The Accounts of the Trust shall be closed on 31°
March of every year. The Financial year of the Trust shall be from I* April
of a year to 31 March of the following year.
AUDIT
b. Qualified Chartered Accountani(s) shall be appointed by the trustees to audit
the accounts of the Trust, and it shall be the duty of the auditor(s) to report
‘on the accounts and affairs of the trust to the Board of Trustees.
11.AMENDMENT :

The Board may amend the clauses relating to the membership, the
management may for any other matters at a duly convened meeting of the
Board by passing a resolution for which at least two weeks notice has been
given.
b. The powers given to the trustees to effect amendment to the Trust Deed
would not extend to altering the basic character/objects of the Trust and
further, no such amendments which may prove to be repugnant to the
provisions of sections 2(15),11,12 & 13 and 80G of the Income Tax Act,
shall be made.
c. The trust shall be irrevocable and if the trust is to be dissolved the assets
remaining as on the date of dissolution shall under no circumstances be
distributed among the trustees/Members “of the Managing Committee/
Governing Body but the same shall be transferred to another charitable Trust
/ Society whose objects are similar to those of this trust and which enjoys
recognition under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
d. Any amendment / alteration in the Trust Deed will be carried out only with
the prior approval of the Commissioner of Income Tax.
12.MEETING OF THE BOARD
a. In addition to the annual meeting, the Board may meet from time to time.
| eeb. The meeting shall be convened by the Trust and the President Trustee shall
preside over the meetings.
c. The Board shall transact any business that may be specified in the agenda or
otherwise agreed to by the Board Members.
d. The Board shall also appoint an auditor at the annual meeting.
e. The President Trustee shall preside over the meetings and in his absence the
remaining trustees shall elect a Chairmen from amongst themselves to
preside over the meeting.
£, One half of the Board members or two members of the board whichever is
higher shall constitute the quorum of the Board.
g. All resolution in writing signed by all the trustees shall be binding on the
board as though it had been passed at the meeting of the Board of trustees.
h, The meeting of the Board shall be convened after giving at least one-week
notice. A shorter notice shall be issued if the trustees entitled to receive
notice agree to receive.
i, The President Trustee may invite other interested in the work of the trust to
attend the meetings of the board but they shall not be entitled to vote thereat.
13.DECLARATION :
a, The benefits of the trust are open to all irrespective of caste, creed, religion,
SEX, etc.,
b. Income and the funds of the trust will solely be utilized towards the objects
of the trust and no portion of it will be utilized for payment to the trustees by
way of profit, dividend, interest etc., Any income earned by the activities of
the trust, interest from deposits shall be used to achieve the objectives of the
trust.
¢. The trust has planned to run Schools, Clinics, Hospitals etc., for the needed
and poor People. The trust will not function in the nature of conduction of a
business activity and not for the purpose of profits. If the trust happens to
run any business it shall be incidental to the attainment of the objects of the
trust and it would satisfy the conditions stipulated under section 11(4) and
proviso to section 80G (5) (i) of, Tax Act 1961IN WITNESS WHEREOF I HAVE SET MY HAND UNTO THIS ON THE DAY,
