8. Remove self-locking nut (55, Figure 1) and lever (60). Discard nut.
C. Inspect removed lever as follows:
-
(1) Inspect entire length of lever P/N P-l 9261 for rounded edges. See Figure 2
and following.
(a) Rounded edge indicates lever was forged. Forged lever P/N P-l 9261
is acceptable and may be returned to service if serviceable.
(b) Sharp go-degree edge indicates lever was machined. Machine lever
P/N P-19261 is unacceptable and shall be removed from service.
(2) Inspect levers P/N 2543624-001 and P/N 2543624-002 for revision letter.
See following.
(a) Location of revision letter is shown in Figure 3.
(b) Levers P/N 2543624-001 and P/N 2543624-002 are acceptable and
may be returned to service if revision letter is D or later.
(c) Levers P/N 2543624-001 and 2543624-002 with earlier revision letters
are unacceptable and shall be removed from service.
