Summary

Another day. Another invisible day. Taehyung can't help but sigh as he gets ready for another
day of classes and being bumped into. He dreads another day of people looking past him and
running over him as if he doesn't exist. I can't remember the last time someone smiled at
me. Pained tears trickle down Taehyung's cheek as he takes a deep breath and walks out of
the door of his tiny, dark apartment.

As he walks down the street, he gets bumped into and knocked over by the rush of the crowd.
He walks with his head down and hoodie pulled over his head, covering half of his face. His
long, wavy black hair covers his dull and hopeless eyes.

"Dude! Wait for me!"

"Hey! How was your weekend?!"

"Bro, I hate this class!"

"Are you hungover from last night?"

"Will you help me with my homework?"

"Are we partying tonight?"

"When are you coming over today?"

Taehyung looks down at the ground and tries to ignore the pain of not having someone ask
about his day or weekend. Being a beta, he has a dull scent that catches no wolf's attention.
He is practically invisible.

He quickly takes his seat in the back corner of the classroom and pulls out his notebook. He
rests his head on the desk, drowns out the sounds of laughter and happiness of the others,
and closes his eyes. When the room erupts with talking and strong scents of arousal,
Taehyung opens his eyes to see the Pack Alpha's son walk into the classroom with countless
omegas hanging off of his sides.

Taehyung quietly admires the young alpha as he laughs after listening to the pretty male
omega's joke. He observes the tattoos decorating his arm and hand. When the alpha looks up
in his direction, Taehyung does not avert his eyes because he knows that the alpha is not
looking at him. There is a pretty omega giving off a tantalizing scent sitting right in front of
him. He feels his heart speed up because it almost looks like the alpha is looking at him, but
he knows better.

Feeling loneliness and longing creeping up, Taehyung closes his eyes and quietly sighs. He
takes a deep breath and tries to shove those useless emotions away. He knows that these are
feelings that no one will ever quench.

Taehyung listens as the young alpha and his group sit next to the pretty omega in front of
him. His breath catches at the entrancing scent of the alpha. Taehyung feels himself being
lulled away into an unknown world by the alpha's scent of smoke and rainy days.

Do others catch the same scent? Does he smell this intoxicating to others? What do I smell
like? I know it is subtle, but what do I smell like?

"Okay, class, good morning." The professor sleepily greets the class as he pulls up the slides.

Taehyung quickly snaps out of his thoughts and begins to pay attention to class. He pushes
away the alpha's scent and focuses solely on the professor's slurred words.

When the class is over, Taehyung waits for everyone to leave the room so that he will not be
trampled in the rush. As he waits, he realizes that the alpha forgot his jacket. Taehyung
slowly reaches out to grab it to give to the alpha, but quickly retreats. He would be furious if
a beta like me touched it. No one likes a muted scent. Shaking his head at himself for almost
getting himself in trouble, Taehyung runs out of the classroom to his next class.

Taehyung quickly enters the back door of the classroom and takes his seat in the back corner
again. As the professor takes roll, Taehyung dreads his turn. When his name is called, he
quietly answers and raises his hand. The professor does not even look at him as he checks
Taehyung as present on his paper.

Taehyung panics when the alpha's eyes quickly snap in his direction, but he keeps his cool
and only looks at his hands in his lap. The only times that alphas have ever paid attention to
him were during their ruts. He has always avoided rutting alphas, but it never ceases to cause
him to panic.

When Taehyung looks up, he sighs in relief because the alpha is no longer looking at him.

"Jeon Jungkook, it is your turn to read your poem." The professor announces and motions for
the young alpha to go to the front of the classroom.

Jungkook nervously approaches the front of the classroom with his poem in hand. He looks
up at his classmates and friends for their support, then glances at the figure hiding in the
corner of the classroom. He clears his throat and then begins to read.

"I see you.

I see your pain
I see your tears
I see your loneliness.
I hear you.
I hear your pain
I hear your cries
I hear you calling for someone to rescue you.

Let me save you.

Let me dry your tears and calm your cries
Let me hold you and rock you late at night
Let me answer your calls and soothe your loneliness.

Taehyung quickly lowers his head as tears prick to his eyes because these are the words that
he wishes someone would say to him. A quiet cry passes his trembling lips. He quickly curls
up at his desk as his heart cries out for someone to say that to him.

No one notices the beta crying in the back of the room as they applaud their future Pack
Alpha. The alpha looks past every single one of his classmates and tries to see the figure in
the back. He cranes his neck to look around the alphas standing in front of the desk that he is
so desperately trying to see. His heart clenches when he finally sees teary eyes looking at him
through long, wavy locks of black hair.

"I see you," Jungkook whispers as he looks at the beta.

After class, Taehyung quickly makes his way to the cafeteria. Only one more class, then I can
go home. Taehyung sighs as he sits in the back of the cafeteria and watches the others
laughing and making plans. He watches as the future Pack Alpha walks into the cafeteria and
looks around. When the alpha's eyes meet his, he does not look away. He is invisible and
knows that the alpha is not looking at him. It is the omega in front of him.

Taehyung eventually looks away as he longs for someone to look at him with a soft gaze. He
wants someone to hold him in the safety of their arms. But he knows that no one will ever
look at him or hold him because no one sees him. Even betas avoid each other, so he knows
that not even a beta will love him, especially since he is a submissive male beta.
Taehyung's stomach churns as he looks at his empty table. He quickly stands up and stumbles
out of the cafeteria. A quiet cry fills his soul as he walks into his next class early and curls up
at his desk. Why do I even go to the cafeteria? I don't have any food. I don't have anyone. It
just brings me more pain.

He normally does not feel this lonely, but mating age is upon him and his classmates. His
soul and wolf are longing for a mate. But his soul and wolf know that as submissive betas,
they are destined to be alone.

How did two alphas make a useless beta?! Huh?! Taehyung remembers his father's shout
when he learned that Taehyung is a beta. He was only four years old when he was left at the
steps of an orphanage during a cold, snowy winter night.

"No one wants a useless beta," Taehyung whispers and closes his teary eyes as he buries his
face in his arms. To smell like roses in a winter breeze sounds beautiful. It must be amazing to
have such a beautiful yet soft scent.

As the classroom begins to fill with students after lunch, Taehyung makes sure to keep his
hoodie pulled over his eyes. He tries to focus as the professor's voice drawls on and on, but
he feels his focus pull away to Jungkook's poem.

"Kim Taehyung, read the next paragraph." The professor's voice stuns Taehyung as he looks
up in shock.

"M-Me?" Taehyung quietly stutters and points to himself.

"Yes, you, beta." The professor sighs and shakes his head.

Jungkook's fists curl at the professor's dismissive tone to the startled and flustered beta.

"Oh o-okay." Taehyung stutters and shakily picks up his book.

As he reads the paragraph, the others begin talking over him and ignoring him. Eventually,
the professor shuts everyone up and begins reading the paragraph. Taehyung knows that he
has already been forgotten, so he quickly sits down and closes his eyes.

The pain of being forgotten and ignored never lessens. He shakily breathes out and tries to
focus on class. Because his vision is blurred by tears, he does not see the alpha looking at him
with pain and longing. Taehyung sniffles and wipes his eyes as he picks up his books and
prepares to leave the classroom.

His hands and body shake from the pain in his heart as he wishes the pain would numb. As he
shakily walks down the steps of the classroom to the front of the room, his knees wobble.
Everything is a blur as he listens to everyone's muffled voices as they pack up for the day.

Today was a rare day because he heard his voice louder than the timid squeaks at roll call. He
works the night shift, so he never talks to anyone. It has been so long since he heard his own
voice.

"Hey."
The deep voice of the alpha startles the beta as he spins around to see who is talking. When
the beta sees who the voice belongs to, he quickly scampers away. There is no way that the
future Pack Alpha was talking to him. There must have been an omega or another alpha
around.

"Hey, wait!" The young alpha shouts and chases the fast beta.

Taehyung runs and runs as he weaves through the crowded sidewalk. As he runs, an alpha
bumps into him and knocks him over. Dread fills Taehyung as he falls towards the ground
with no one to catch him.

A gasp leaves the startled beta's lips as a strong arm wraps around his waist and catches him.
Taehyung stills and freezes in fear. His entire life, he has always been told that alphas and
omegas will only ever notice him for their ruts and heats. This is not the attention that he
wants.

"Taehyung, are you okay?" Taehyung looks at the alpha in shock when he hears his name.

"I-I-I" Taehyung stutters and shakes in fear.

"It's okay. I won't hurt you." Jungkook quickly tells the terrified beta in his arms.

The young alpha quickly lets go when he is sure that Taehyung will not fall, then takes a step
back to give him space.

"I'm sorry for running. I'll do whatever you want." Taehyung cries and falls to his knees in
front of Jungkook as his body trembles with terror.

"What? No." Jungkook quickly answers as his chest aches, then quickly kneels down in front
of Taehyung.

"Please don't hurt me," Taehyung begs with fear in his eyes as he looks at Jungkook.

"I'm not going to hurt you. I promise." Jungkook whispers as he gently reaches out and wipes
away Taehyung's tears.

"I'll do what you want." Taehyung whimpers as he flinches and bows his head.

"No, no, no." Jungkook quickly pulls Taehyung into his arms and safely tucks the beta away.

"Please." Taehyung sobs in Jungkook's arms.

"You're safe, my winter rose." Jungkook softly whispers and cradles Taehyung in his arms.

Taehyung freezes when he hears Jungkook's words. Winter rose? Did he just call me his
winter rose? Does he realize who he is talking to?

"I-I'm a beta. I think you have me confused with someone else." Taehyung mutters and
quickly pulls away from Jungkook.
"I'm not confused. You are Kim Taehyung, and you smell like a rose in the winter breeze."
Jungkook softly whispers and looks at Taehyung with a tender gaze.
 Desperation

Taehyung stares at the alpha in shock as he processes Jungkook's words. His heart races as he
grows more and more confused. Me? Winter rose? I smell like a winter rose? Was that poem
about me?

"You cried today," Jungkook mutters as he looks at the stunned beta.

"I-I uh I have to go." Taehyung quickly mumbles and shakily stands up.

Jungkook quickly catches Taehyung as he stumbles. "Are you okay?" The alpha worriedly
asks the stunned beta.

"You see me?" Taehyung whispers and looks up at the sweet alpha.

"I see you." Jungkook softly answers and brushes his thumb across Taehyung's soft cheek.

"I'm a beta," Taehyung mutters and tries to comprehend Jungkook's words and actions.

"A beautiful, smart, and sweet beta." Jungkook softly smiles as he holds Taehyung up.

"You're Jeon Jungkook, though," Taehyung whispers and looks down.

"And you're Kim Taehyung." Jungkook smiles and pulls Taehyung closer.

"No. This can't happen. Not to me." Taehyung mutters and shakily pushes Jungkook away.

"Why?" Jungkook asks with confusion and desperation in his voice.

"You are Jeon Jungkook," Taehyung mutters and begins backing away.

"I won't hurt you. I promise." Jungkook cries as he watches Taehyung look at him with fear
and rejection.

"Someday, an omega with a sweet scent will make your heart flutter." Taehyung mumbles
and turns around.

"There are plenty of omegas with sweet scents. I don't want them. I want you." Jungkook
cries out and reaches out for Taehyung.

"No. Don't make me long for something that I can't have." Taehyung shakes his head with
determination as he walks off into the crowd and disappears.

"Don't walk away. Please." Jungkook begs as his wolf howls in pain.

Jungkook quickly stumbles into the crowd looking for the beta. The pain of rejection is
searing his heart as he desperately looks for his rose.
"Please." Jungkook chokes out and stumbles to the ground as his vision becomes blurry with
tears.

Taehyung stops when he hears the alpha's pain. He gasps when he sees Jungkook on the
ground, looking around with desperation and pain in his glowing red eyes.

"No. I can't." Taehyung quickly shakes his head and runs away to safety.

"Jungkook!!! What happened?" An alpha calls out as he runs over to Jungkook.

"He left. He doesn't want me." Jungkook cries and clings to the older alpha.

"Who? Who doesn't want you?" The older alpha asks and looks at Jungkook, who has clearly
been rejected.

"Taehyung." Jungkook softly cries.

"Who?" The alpha looks at Jungkook with confusion.

"My rose. My winter rose." Jungkook cries and cries.

The older alpha helps Jungkook off the ground and walks him to the car waiting by the
sidewalk. Jungkook slumps in the seat as he realizes what is really paining him. Taehyung is
scared of me. I scare him.

The next day, Taehyung once again hides in his back corner. He is wearing a face mask and
has his hoodie pulled over his eyes. Jungkook won't recognize me with my face covered. My
scent is too muted for him to know that I am here.

When Jimin walks into the classroom, he looks around for the wolf who smells like roses.
His eyes flit past the figure hiding in the back of the classroom. That is when he smells the
faint scent of roses that is barely detectable. He would not have detected the faint scent if he
weren't searching for it.

Jimin walks up the steps toward the hiding beta. When he reaches the beta, the beta jumps at
the presence of the new alpha. Taehyung tries his best not to look at the alpha or
acknowledge him.

"You rejected him. Why?" Jimin asks as he looks at the shaking beta.

Taehyung freezes and keeps his eyes fixed straight ahead. He does not know how to respond
to the frustrated alpha.

"Hyung, leave him alone. You're scaring him." Jungkook softly tells Jimin and pulls him
away from the beta.

Taehyung feels like crying when he hears Jungkook's voice and smells his scent. Jungkook
notices Taehyung's tense body and the mask over his face. His wolf cries out for the beta to
look at them. Instead, Taehyung looks down at his hands as a traitorous tear falls into his lap.
Jungkook gently sits down next to Taehyung. He knows that the beta does not dislike him. He
knows that he has to show the timid beta that he is serious and will not hurt him.

Jimin sighs and sits next to Jungkook. This is the first time that Jungkook has ever paid
attention to anyone outside their friend group. He has caught the younger alpha's eyes
lingering on the beta before. Jungkook's scent always softens when he looks at the beta or is
near the beta. Jimin has noticed Jungkook's clenched fists in anger when the beta is
mistreated and ignored.

Jungkook gently hands Taehyung a handkerchief when he hears the beta sniffle. Taehyung
briefly looks at the handkerchief, then looks away. He cannot give himself hope of having
something that he cannot have. He knows that Jungkook will only notice him until a beautiful
omega walks in.

"Jungkookie, why are you sitting back there? Sit with me." The prettiest omega of the
university bats his eyes and releases his sweet scent.

"I'll sit here." Jungkook politely answers.

"Why? No one sits here." The omega points out with a little huff.

"Taehyung sits here," Jungkook answers with a glare.

"Tae- Who?" The omega asks in shock and stares at the equally shocked beta.

"Kim Taehyung," Jungkook answers and looks at Taehyung, who is looking at him with big
eyes filled with shock.

"Why are you sitting with him? He's just a dull beta." The omega mutters as he looks at
Taehyung, causing Taehyung to look down with shame and embarrassment.

"What the fuck did you just say?" Jungkook growls and stands up in anger as his eyes begin
to glow red.

"Are you getting upset with me over him?" The omega scoffs and looks at Taehyung, who is
clenching his fists and trying to stop his tears.

"I am. Fuck off before I do something stupid." Jungkook growls and flashes his red eyes in
warning. The omega squeaks with fear and quickly runs off. Once the omega is gone,
Jungkook huffs and sits down. When he hears a squeak next to him, he panics. Fuck! I've
scared him. Fuck!

Jungkook looks over at Taehyung and expects fear in his eyes, but is met with surprise and
relief, with not a hint of fear.

"I'm sorry. Did I scare you?" Jungkook desperately asks with tears brimming in his eyes.

Taehyung quickly shakes his head and continues to look at Jungkook. Jungkook sighs in
relief at Taehyung's answer, then softly smiles at the stunning beta. He gently reaches out to
pull the mask from his face and tuck it under the beautiful beta's chin. As he brushes his
thumb over Taehyung's cheek, Taehyung blushes and quickly looks away. Someone actually
stood up for me.

"Don't look away," Jungkook whispers and gently turns Taehyung's face back toward him.

Taehyung's breath hitches as the alpha's touch ignites sparks on his skin. Taehyung does not
pay attention to class as he looks at the alpha sitting next to him.

When lunch time rolls around, Taehyung walks to his usual spot in the corner. He sits down,
then freezes when two trays are placed at the table. When he looks up, he sees Jungkook's
smiling face.

"Is it okay if we eat with you?" Jungkook asks as he softly looks at Taehyung.

"I uh, okay." Taehyung quietly mutters and nervously nods his head.

"Oh, look. If it isn't Park Jimin." A voice mocks as another alpha walks over to the table.

"Not right now," Jimin tells him sternly and shakes his head.

Yoongi freezes when the pretty alpha does not mock back but looks completely serious. He
looks at Jungkook, then at the beta cowering behind Jungkook.

"Uh, did I interrupt something?" Yoongi asks as he observes the pretty beta.

"If you scare him, I'll kill you." Jimin hisses and drags Yoongi away from the table.

"What's going on?" Yoongi asks once they are at a safe distance.

"Jungkook has feelings for the beta." Jimin sighs and looks over at the table.

"Huh? Really?" Yoongi asks and looks at Jungkook and Taehyung.

"Uh-huh. His wolf does too."

"Are you okay?" Jungkook asks as he looks at Taehyung.

Taehyung nods and picks at his hands. Having people to talk to has been his wish for as long
as he can remember. But now that there are people around him, he is terrified. He does not
know how to react or how to answer.

"He's not mean. I promise. It's just that those two alphas have a tension." Jungkook softly
explains, trying to help ease Taehyung's nerves.

"Oh, okay." Taehyung nods and stares at his lap.

"Why do I scare you?" Jungkook quietly asks after a few minutes of silence.

"You're an alpha," Taehyung answers even quieter and cowers, expecting Jungkook to lash
out in anger at his answer.
Jungkook winces when he sees Taehyung cower in fear and catches his scent of strong fear.
His wolf cries out as the beta he longs for flinches in fear because of him.

"I won't hurt you. I promise." Jungkook quietly whispers and looks at Taehyung with longing.

"I'm sorry," Taehyung barely whispers without looking at Jungkook.

"It's okay. It's not your fault. I will prove to you that I won't hurt you." Jungkook answers and
tenderly smiles at Taehyung.

"Please don't. I couldn't bear you leaving after I trust you." Taehyung barely mutters and
scoots away from Jungkook.

"I won't hurt you. I won't break your heart." Jungkook cries with desperation in his voice.

"Alpha Jeon, I can't afford a broken heart. I don't have anyone to lean on like you do. Please,
just go away. Your wolf will hurt for a few days, but you have people you can trust and cry
on their shoulders. I have no one. I will be broken on my own. I am a beta. I have already
accepted being alone and mateless." Taehyung shakily explains as he gets up from the table.

"I won't leave you. I promise." Jungkook desperately answers and grabs Taehyung's hand.

"How can you make such a promise without knowing me?" Taehyung asks and looks at
Jungkook, his eyes devoid of trust.

"Let me get to know you. Please." Jungkook begs as tears prick his eyes.

"I will become attached. I can't." Taehyung yanks his hand out of Jungkook's and runs out of
the university.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook calls out and runs after the beta.

Taehyung runs as fast as he can to his apartment. Betas are the fastest of the wolves, so he
quickly leaves the alpha in the dust. But Jungkook does not give up. He follows the scent he
has been longing to smell every day.

When Taehyung slams his apartment door shut, he slides down the door and sobs. Even if I
want someone in my life, I can't have them. I'm a beta. I'll always get abandoned in the end.

"Taehyung!" Jungkook cries out and knocks on the beta's door.

Taehyung freezes when he hears Jungkook. He quickly stands up and backs away from the
door, his hands trembling as he is overwhelmed with so many emotions.

"Please! Taehyung, please." Jungkook sobs and collapses to the ground while holding onto
the door handle.

Taehyung crouches by the door and listens to Jungkook's broken sobs. Someone is
desperately crying out for him like he has been crying out his entire life. He feels his rigid,
protective walls crumbling as he listens to the alpha's sobs.
"Please, my Winter Rose." The broken sob and nickname completely break Taehyung's wall.
He shakily reaches out and unlocks his door. The sight that greets Taehyung breaks his heart.
The alpha is on his knees while looking up at him with teary eyes and a broken heart. For
some reason, Taehyung knows that Jungkook will not heal in just a couple of days from his
rejection.

Taehyung gets on his knees in front of Jungkook and nervously reaches out. His shaky hands
wipe Jungkook's tears away.

"Please, give me a chance. I will protect you. I will listen to your every word. I will smile at
you every day. I will breathe in and cherish your beautiful scent. Please." Jungkook begs as
he sobs and searches Taehyung's eyes for an answer.

"O-Okay." Taehyung quietly answers and nods his head.

Jungkook smiles in relief and gently pulls the beta into his arms as he is overcome with
relieved sobs. Taehyung stiffly stays in Jungkook's arms. He is not used to affection. He is
used to abandonment and abuse.
 Different

After a few minutes, they stand up, and Taehyung lets Jungkook into his apartment.
Taehyung becomes extremely nervous as the alpha looks around his tiny apartment with only
one tiny window. Jungkook has grown up with wealth and status, while Taehyung has been
struggling to survive in the gutters.

Jungkook looks around the single-room apartment with a tiny bathroom shoved in a corner.
He sees how clean the beta keeps it. He looks at the worn-out furniture, blankets, appliances,
and clothes that are neatly stacked in a small box. When he looks at the tiny eating area, he
sees the cheapest ramen and expired food.

As Jungkook looks at Taehyung, he realizes why Taehyung is so slender. He has barely

enough food to survive. Jungkook cries when he sees how difficult Taehyung's life has been.

"Why are you crying?" Taehyung asks as he looks up at Jungkook with surprise.

"I grew up with more than I could ever ask for, while you have been struggling to survive."
Jungkook cries and pulls Taehyung into his arms.

"I'm okay," Taehyung mutters as he processes someone crying because of his pain and
struggles.

"You're so strong, my Rose." Jungkook softly smiles and looks down at the beta in his arms.

Taehyung looks up and gets lost in the stunning eyes that hold so much emotion for him. The
first person to look at him has so many emotions in their eyes.

After a few minutes, Jungkook decides to leave so that he does not overwhelm the beta.
When he turns to leave, Taehyung's fingers linger on his shirt. Jungkook stops when he feels
the gentle tug on his shirt. He quickly turns and looks at the nervous beta. Taehyung searches
for words as he quickly pulls his hand away in a panic.

"I uh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"

"It's okay. Do you want me to stay?" Jungkook asks with hope in his voice.

"I uh I don't know," Taehyung whispers and looks down, nervously biting his lower lip.

From Taehyung's answer, Jungkook knows that Taehyung wants him to stay, but is afraid to
ask. He also knows that Taehyung is ashamed of his circumstances.

"I'll stay." Jungkook softly smiles and tenderly caresses Taehyung's face.

Taehyung nods and looks around. As he looks around, he suddenly realizes that Jungkook
does not belong in a place like this. "No. No. You need to go." The beta mutters and begins
pushing Jungkook to the door.
"Why?" Jungkook asks with surprise.

"You don't belong in a place like this." Taehyung mumbles, which causes the alpha to stand
still.

"I'm staying." Jungkook answers because there is no room for Taehyung to feel inferior.

"You can't. You don't belong in this place." Taehyung shakes his head as he tries to push the
alpha out of the apartment.

"I belong with you," Jungkook answers and gently wraps his arms around Taehyung.

"I have no food to give you. I have no heater to keep you warm. I have no bed. I have
nothing. Go back to your home and world." Taehyung whispers and looks down in shame.

"You are becoming my world day by day. I will stay with you." Jungkook answers and keeps
Taehyung in his arms. He knows that if he suggests going to his family's mansion, he will
only make Taehyung feel worse.

"I have nothing," Taehyung repeats with his eyes closed.

"You have you. You are the only thing that I want." Jungkook answers and breathes in
Taehyung's scent.

Taehyung shivers when Jungkook breathes in his scent. This is the first time someone has
taken a deep breath of his scent like this.

After breathing in Taehyung's soft scent, Jungkook walks over to the folded blankets and
begins setting up the sleeping area. Taehyung quietly watches him, unsure of what to do. He
takes a deep breath as his apartment fills with Jungkook's dizzying scent.

Once Jungkook is satisfied with the area he has set up, he motions for Taehyung to come
over. So Taehyung slowly walks over to Jungkook with his nerves spiking. Jungkook opens
his arms and gently pulls the nervous beta onto the floor with him.

"It's not even close to nighttime." Taehyung quietly points out.

"That's okay. I want to spend time with you." Jungkook smiles and pulls the blanket over
them.

Taehyung lies stiffly in Jungkook's arms because he does not know what to do. He wants to
relax in the alpha's touch and scent, but he is afraid.

Jungkook gently places his hand on Taehyung's back to try to calm him down. Feeling
Jungkook's gentle, soothing touch, Taehyung blinks and lets out his held breath.

"Relax. I won't hurt you. I promise." Jungkook softly tells Taehyung and rubs a soothing
circle on the beta's back with his hand.

"I know, but I don't know what to do." Taehyung barely mutters and avoids Jungkook's eyes.
"That's okay. You don't have to do anything. We will just enjoy each other's company and
scent." Jungkook smiles, then brushes Taehyung's hair out of his eyes.

Taehyung nods as he flutters his eyes closed. He allows the sweet alpha's scent to engulf him.
Jungkook softly smiles when he feels Taehyung relax in his embrace.

"Where do you work?" Jungkook softly asks after a few minutes.

"I clean a company building at night," Taehyung answers and opens his eyes to see
Jungkook's reaction.

"Do you work tonight?" Jungkook asks and looks into Taehyung's stunning eyes.

"No. I work tomorrow night." Taehyung answers and feels himself falling for the alpha even
more.

"Good. We get to spend time together." Jungkook softly smiles and then buries his nose
against Taehyung's scent gland.

Taehyung gasps out in surprise as Jungkook noses him, trying to get more of his scent. He
never thought that anyone would ever do something this sweet and intimate to him. Taehyung
gently grips Jungkook's shirt as heat ripples through his body.

Jungkook smiles and releases more of his scent because he knows that the beta in his arms is
too shy to nose his scent gland. A quiet hum leaves Taehyung as he is engulfed in the alpha's
scent.

"Let me order some pizza," Jungkook suggests as the sun sets. He knows that Taehyung is
hungry but will not eat in front of him or give him any food because it has expired.

"I don't have the money to pay you back." Taehyung quietly mutters in embarrassment.

"Don't pay me back. I am ordering this for us. Let me. Please." Jungkook asks and lifts
Taehyung's chin to look into his eyes.

"But-"

"No buts." Jungkook shakes his head, then presses his forehead against Taehyung's.

"I ... okay." Taehyung sighs because he is learning that this alpha is stubborn and determined.

"What do you want?" Jungkook asks with a satisfied smile.

"Uh, pizza?"

"What kind of pizza?" Jungkook chuckles at the adorable beta.

"I've only ever had cheese pizza. It's the cheapest." Taehyung quietly mutters.
"Hm, okay. I'll order my favorite one for you to try. If you don't like it, then next time we'll
try other toppings." Jungkook suggests and pulls out his phone.

Taehyung looks at the brand new phone with curiosity because he has an old flip phone.
Jungkook notices Taehyung's curiosity, so he hands Taehyung his phone after ordering the
pizza. Taehyung holds the phone as if it were something precious.

"What if I break it?" Taehyung asks nervously.

"You won't." Jungkook smiles, then opens a game for Taehyung to play.

Taehyung watches Jungkook play the first game. Once Jungkook has shown Taehyung how
to play, he hands the phone to the beta. Taehyung carefully plays for the first couple of
minutes, then becomes immersed in the game. His eyes light up when he wins.

"You're really good at it." Jungkook compliments the adorable beta and pats his head.

Taehyung flinches when Jungkook lifts his hand. Jungkook notices him flinch, so he slowly
lowers his hand and gently pats him. Taehyung faintly smiles when he feels Jungkook's
gentle pat. Jungkook instantly takes a mental picture of Taehyung's tiny smile. I want to see
you really smile. I will make sure that you have a reason to truly smile.

When the pizza is delivered, Taehyung gets up to get the pizza. Jungkook follows behind
because he wants to be near the beta at all times.

The omega pizza deliveryman stands there stunned when there is a strong presence of an
alpha behind the beta. Being invisible, the beta is pushed to the side by the omega, who walks
toward the handsome alpha. Taehyung does not argue or fight back because he is used to
being pushed aside.

"Omega, what do you think you are doing?" Jungkook growls threateningly and gently pulls
Taehyung to his side.

The omega looks stunned at the alpha's rejection and angry scent. This is when he notices the
beta in the alpha's arms.

"Alpha, I can pleasure more than that beta can." The omega flirts and releases his scent

"Get the fuck out." Jungkook growls and snatches the pizza from the omega.

The omega is stunned as the alpha pushes him out of the door and slams the door in his face.

Jungkook immediately releases his calming scent to cover the omega's pungent scent and his
angry scent. Taehyung just looks at Jungkook in surprise for turning down an omega who is
at the beginning of his heat. Alphas usually cannot resist an omega who is heating who
throws themself at the alpha.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Jungkook asks and checks on Taehyung.
"I'm okay. Are you broken?" Taehyung asks and looks up at Jungkook while trying to figure
him out.

"Huh? What do you mean?" Jungkook asks as he leads Taehyung back to the bedding.

"He's on his heat." Taehyung points out.

"I know. He stinks." Jungkook mumbles and sits down while pulling Taehyung down to sit
next to him.

"Heh?" Taehyung looks at Jungkook in surprise.

"He stinks." Jungkook shrugs and opens the pizza.

"Aren't alphas supposed to love the scent of an omega on their heat?" Taehyung asks while
looking at Jungkook, trying to understand the alpha.

"Maybe. I don't know." Jungkook shrugs, then picks a slice of pizza and hands it to
Taehyung.

"It's okay. You can have it." Taehyung tries to push the slice to Jungkook.

"Nope. This one is for you." Jungkook smiles and makes sure Taehyung takes it.

Taehyung looks at the pizza in his hand and wonders what it tastes like. He looks up and
realizes that Jungkook is waiting for him to eat, so he takes a bite of the pizza. Taehyung's
eyes instantly light up at the taste. He looks at the slice in his hand in surprise.

"You look surprised a lot around me." Jungkook softly chuckles and wipes the pizza sauce off
of Taehyung's chin with his thumb.

"You surprise me a lot," Taehyung mumbles as his cheeks dust with pink.

"I do?" Jungkook asks with a smile.

Taehyung nods as he takes another bite out of his pizza. Jungkook happily watches Taehyung
eat the pizza with a satisfied smile. Once Taehyung finishes his slice, he quietly watches
Jungkook eat.

"Why aren't you eating?" Jungkook asks when he realizes that Taehyung is not eating more.

"You bought it. You have the rest." Taehyung answers quietly.

"I bought it for us." Jungkook softly smiles and hands another slice to Taehyung. Jungkook
knows that it will take Taehyung a while to get used to being taken care of.

"I'm okay." Taehyung shakes his head and tries to push the slice away.

"Are you still hungry?" Jungkook asks while looking at Taehyung.

"I'm okay," Taehyung answers quietly.

"That's not what I asked. Are you still hungry?" Jungkook softens his voice as he repeats his
question.

Taehyung nervously nods because he knows that alphas can sense lies.

"Have more until you are no longer hungry." Jungkook smiles and hands the slice to
Taehyung.

Taehyung nods, then eats the pizza. Not being used to eating so much, he is stuffed by the
time he eats half of the second slice. Jungkook notices that Taehyung is staring at the partial
slice in his hand while patting his tummy.

"You don't have to finish it if you're full." Jungkook softly tells Taehyung.

"I can't waste it." Taehyung mumbles and goes to take another bite.

"Nope. I'll finish it." Jungkook grins and takes it from Taehyung.

"I already bit it." Taehyung protests when he watches the future Pack Alpha eating his
already partially eaten pizza slice.

"That's okay." Jungkook smiles, then gently pats Taehyung's cheek.

"You're not how I expected you to be." Taehyung blurts out as he watches Jungkook eat.

"What did you think I was like?" Jungkook asks while grabbing another slice of pizza.

"Uh, rich and alpha," Taehyung mutters and looks down at his hands.

"Oh. I'm glad that I'm not like that." Jungkook smiles and gently brushes Taehyung's hair out
of his eyes.

option of any alpha or omega.

"In a sea of hormones, want, lust, power, wealth, back-biting, and politics, you are the one

"What if I didn't smell like winter roses? What if I smelled like lemons or something like
that?" Taehyung asks and looks at Jungkook, searching the alpha's beautiful eyes for an
answer.

"Then, you would have been the precious lemon in a tasteless world. No matter your scent,
you are still Kim Taehyung." Jungkook smiles and gently takes Taehyung's hand.

"What if I smelled like dirt?" Taehyung mumbles and looks at their hands.

"Dirt smells like heaven when it rains and is comforting." Jungkook answers and squeezes
Taehyung's hand.

"You smell like smoke and rain," Taehyung quietly mutters as he looks at the tattoos on
Jungkook's hand.

"Really? No one has ever told me that before." Jungkook smiles at the thought of his scent.

"Really? I thought that multiple people would have told you." Taehyung looks up in surprise.

"Really. I guess that most people aren't paying attention to who I am. They just look at my
rank and status." Jungkook shrugs as he gently pulls Taehyung closer. "But you, you see me,
the real me," Jungkook whispers as he breathes in Taehyung's scent.

"I barely know you," Taehyung whispers as his heart flutters at the close proximity to the
alpha.

"Then imagine how little others know me." Jungkook softly whispers and brushes his lips
over the beta's scent gland.

A quiet moan leaves the beta's lips as the alpha tenderly brushes his lips on his scent gland,
then presses a soft kiss. Taehyung slightly stiffens at the intimacy.

"Don't worry. I will never go further than you are willing to go." Jungkook softly explains
when he feels Taehyung stiffen.

"I'm just not used to it," Taehyung mutters and looks down in embarrassment.

"That's okay. We will go at your pace." Jungkook smiles and lies down with Taehyung in his
arms.
"This is still pretty fast," Taehyung mumbles as he places his face in the crook of Jungkook's
neck.

"Most couples mate by now." Jungkook softly chuckles.

"Couples?" Taehyung asks and looks up at Jungkook with big eyes.

"Mhm. Couples." Jungkook smiles and caresses Taehyung's face.

"I uh ..." Taehyung blushes as he processes Jungkook's words.

"You are beautiful," Jungkook whispers as he looks at Taehyung.

His words cause Taehyung to blush more and bury his face in his chest with a quiet squeal.
Jungkook softly chuckles at Taehyung's endearing reaction and wraps his arms around the
thin beta. Jungkook's heart aches when he feels Taehyung's ribs and hips poking out.

Once Taehyung recovers from his embarrassment, he looks up at the stunning alpha staring at
him. He slowly reaches up and carefully touches the alpha's face. Jungkook smiles at the
tender contact, then snuggles his face in the beta's hand. Taehyung softly smiles and cups
Jungkook's face.

They quietly look at each other as the faint moonlight filters through the tiny window.
Jungkook knows, as he looks at the beta in his arms, that he will love and protect the beta
with everything he has. Taehyung feels tears coming to his eyes as he drowns in Jungkook's
loving gaze.

"How old are you?" Jungkook softly asks as he admires Taehyung.

"Nineteen," Taehyung answers and traces Jungkook's lips with his finger.

"Nineteen? I'm twenty-two." Jungkook mutters quietly.

"I'll be twenty soon." Taehyung answers while resting his slender index finger on Jungkook's
chin.

"When?" Jungkook asks and gently brushes his thumb over Taehyung's cheek.

"If I tell you, you'll buy me something." Taehyung shakes his head and refuses to tell
Jungkook.

"I'll just look at the record. You're part of my pack." Jungkook chuckles at the stubborn beta.

"Cheater," Taehyung mumbles with a pout.

"So, are you going to tell me?" Jungkook grins and pulls the beta onto his chest.

"December 30th." Taehyung sighs with a huff.

"It's in two days." Jungkook gasps with shock.

"Mhm." Taehyung nods gently and cups Jungkook's face.

"You are a winter rose." Jungkook smiles and gently kisses Taehyung's hand.

"I have prickly thorns, so don't do anything too crazy," Taehyung mutters because he knows
that he cannot persuade Jungkook from doing something for his birthday.

"I won't. It will be simple and sweet." Jungkook promises with a smile.

"It better be my level of simple." Taehyung grumbles.

"How about in between?" Jungkook asks and gently rubs Taehyung's back with his thumb.

"Fine." Taehyung sighs and then lays his head on Jungkook's chest.

Jungkook lovingly watches Taehyung fall asleep as the moon gently caresses the gorgeous
beta's soft face. He gently brushes his thumb over Taehyung's face, then presses a loving kiss
on Taehyung's forehead.

As Taehyung wakes up, he feels strong arms wrapped around his waist, then breathes in the
scent of the alpha. He smiles when he opens his eyes and sees the sleeping alpha. He has the
lingering fear of being abandoned, but he allows himself to trust the alpha.

"Good morning, Rose." Jungkook sleepily smiles as his eyes flutter open.

"Morning." Taehyung squeaks in embarrassment when he realizes that he has been caught
staring.

"You can watch me sleep whenever you want to." Jungkook huskily mutters with a soft grin.

"O-Okay." Taehyung nods while still blushing.

As they get ready for their classes, Taehyung realizes that Jungkook has no clothes to wear.
He nervously grabs his clothes that have his scent on them and hands them to the alpha.
Jungkook smiles and instantly brings the clothes up to his nose and takes a deep breath. He
sighs happily, then looks at Taehyung, who is blushing profusely.

When Jungkook goes to shower, he realizes that the shower is a hose and a tile pad with a
drain in the corner of the room. There is no glass wall or curtain.

"I won't watch." Taehyung quickly mutters and turns away.

"It's okay. I don't mind." Jungkook shrugs, then undresses.

Taehyung feels like fainting when he hears Jungkook's words. This alpha is so blunt. What
am I going to do? Faint? Die from shock?

Jungkook takes a quick shower because he knows that Taehyung has to pay for water.
"I'm dressed." Jungkook softly chuckles when he sees the beta stiffly standing there with his
back facing him.

"It's a good thing that I wear baggy clothes," Taehyung mutters when he sees that the clothes
fit Jungkook perfectly.

"They smell like heaven." Jungkook smiles and pulls Taehyung into his arms.

"I need to shower." Taehyung blushes and wiggles out of Jungkook's arms.

Jungkook softly chuckles when Taehyung runs away.

"Don't look," Taehyung mutters and watches Jungkook turn away.

As Taehyung showers, Jungkook checks their backpacks to make sure that they have
everything for their classes. When he turns to ask Taehyung something, forgetting that
Taehyung is most likely not dressed, he sees Taehyung's thin, scar-covered body.

"Tae." Jungkook whimpers as a tear trickles down his cheek.

"I-" Taehyung panics and covers his body with his arms.

"Who did this to you?" Jungkook growls as he pulls Taehyung's arms away.

"Many people." Taehyung quietly answers and looks down.

"Why?" Jungkook cries and pulls Taehyung into his protective embrace.

"Because I am less than nothing," Taehyung whispers with tears streaming down his face.

"No, you are precious. You should never be mistreated or abused." Jungkook cries and rocks
Taehyung in his arms.

"I'm sorry. My body is ugly." Taehyung mutters and looks up at Jungkook.

"Nothing about you is ugly. Your scars show your strength." Jungkook whispers and wipes
Taehyung's tears away.

"How can you want me?" Taehyung mutters as he looks into the alpha's loving eyes.

"You are Kim Taehyung. You are my precious Rose." Jungkook smiles and presses a kiss on
Taehyung's forehead.

"Precious," Taehyung whispers as he processes Jungkook's loving words that are so foreign
to him.

"Precious." Jungkook softly repeats with a loving smile.

Taehyung stands still as Jungkook dresses him, then dries his hair. He watches as the alpha
treats him like a precious treasure. No one has ever treated him this way.
Taehyung stays in a daze as they walk to school together with their fingers intertwined. He
snaps out of his daze when he hears someone yell Jungkook's name.

"What is it?" Jungkook asks as five alphas run up to him.

"Where have you been?" The tallest one asks in a voice that is demanding answers.

"Uh, I've been with Taehyung." Jungkook answers, then realizes that Taehyung is no longer
by his side. He quickly sprints into the university building while the five other alphas chase
him inside.

When Jungkook runs into the classroom, he sees Taehyung already sitting in the corner.
Jungkook smiles when he sees that the beta is okay. As Jungkook approaches his Rose,
several omegas attach themselves to him. Jungkook quickly tries to shake them off.

"Let go." Jungkook huffs and pushes them away.

Taehyung quietly watches Jungkook. This is how things are supposed to be. We don't belong-
What is he doing? Is he walking towards me? Is he crazy? People will see us together! He
can't be seen with me! Taehyung panics as Jungkook draws nearer and nearer.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook softly asks and sits down next to Taehyung.

"You can't be seen with me," Taehyung whispers as he looks around the room at the people
gawking at him.

"Why not?" Jungkook asks in confusion.

"Because you are the future Pack Alpha, and I am nobody," Taehyung mutters and tries to
pull his hoodie over his head.

"You are not nobody. You are Kim Taehyung." Jungkook firmly tells Taehyung and stops him
from covering his face with his hoodie.

"I told them not to worry." Jimin chuckles and walks over to Jungkook and Taehyung.

"They worry for no reason. I'm an adult." Jungkook huffs as he holds Taehyung's hand.

"You're gorgeous, by the way." Jimin compliments Taehyung with a soft smile.

"Go away, Park." Jungkook glares at Jimin.

"He is." Jimin chuckles at the younger alpha.

By the end of class, Taehyung feels like disappearing. Suddenly, being invisible does not
seem as bad anymore.

As they walk into the cafeteria, the rest of the group of alphas approach Jungkook. Taehyung
tries to run again, but Jungkook has a firm but gentle grip on him this time. So, Taehyung
hides behind Jungkook. He silently prays that his invisible state of being a beta holds up.
"So, you're the pretty beta that has Jungkook head over heels." A sweet voice rings through
the air as one of the alphas tries to get a good look at Taehyung.

"Don't scare him," Jungkook warns the alpha.

"We won't." A cheerful voice laughs in response.

"Rose, are you hungry?" Jungkook asks and turns to face Taehyung.

Taehyung nervously nods and clings to Jungkook. The rest of the alphas coo as they watch
the adorable beta. Taehyung blushes at their reaction and tries to disappear in Jungkook's
arms.

As they eat, Taehyung stays hidden in Jungkook's arms. He has no idea how he is supposed
to interact with so many people at the same time, especially since they are all from the
highest-ranking families.

"How old are you?" The alpha with the sweet voice asks Taehyung.

"He's nineteen." Jungkook answers because he feels Taehyung's grip tighten.

"He's a child you pervert!" Jimin shrieks as he looks at Jungkook.

"He'll be twenty on the 30th." Jungkook huffs with a frown.

"Still a pervert." Yoongi yawns and contemplates a way to torment Jimin.

By the time lunch is over, Taehyung is in Jungkook's lap while trying to hide himself more.
Jungkook and the others softly look at the sweet beta.

As they sit in their last class together, Taehyung hopes that Jungkook is taking notes because
he is not taking any notes. His mind is too distracted by the larger hand enveloping his hand.
He is drowning in Jungkook's scent.

"What time do you go to work?" Jungkook asks as they walk back to Taehyung's apartment.

"Eight," Taehyung answers as he continues to look at their intertwined fingers.

"M'kay. I'll drop you off then." Jungkook smiles and wraps his arm around Taehyung's waist.

"Don't you need to go home?" Taehyung asks and looks up at Jungkook.

"No." Jungkook shakes his head, then smiles down at Taehyung.

"Aren't your parents worried about you?" Taehyung asks with a slight frown.

"They are beyond busy with the new pup." Jungkook hums as he gently brushes his thumb
against Taehyung's waist.

"Ohhh, I remember now. You have a little sister." Taehyung mutters and nods in
understanding.

As they walk to Taehyung's work, Jungkook pouts because he does not want to let Taehyung
go. Taehyung will not get off until 4:00 am. When they reach the building, Jungkook
unwillingly lets go of Taehyung's hand and watches him walk into the building.

While Jungkook buys groceries, he cannot seem to shake a feeling of unease. He stocks
Taehyung's cabinets with food as he mutters and tries to figure out what is bothering him.
Suddenly, it hits him. The alpha guard is at the beginning of his rut. He could smell it.

Jungkook drops everything and sprints toward the building with all of his strength. He has
heard too many horror stories about betas and rutting alphas. Rose, wait! I'm coming!

When Jungkook bursts into the building, he hears crying and begging. "TAEHYUNG!"
Jungkook shouts and runs toward Taehyung's terrified cries.

The sight that meets the young alpha's eyes fills him with rage.

"Alpha." Taehyung whimpers as tears stream down his bloody face. With shaking hands,
Taehyung desperately holds his torn shirt to keep himself covered.

"You fucking monster!" Jungkook snarls and turns into his wolf.

Taehyung stares at the beautiful black wolf in shock. Jungkook quickly sprints to Taehyung
and stands between the beta and the other alpha, who is too stunned to move. There is only
one family with pure black wolves: the Jeons.

Jungkook lunges and tackles the alpha to the ground, pinning him down. An angered growl
leaves the young alpha as he bites into the other alpha's shoulder, banishing him from the
pack. The other alpha howls in pain as he feels the future Pack Alpha's teeth dig into him, and
he feels his pack link being severed. He will forever bear the mark of banishment. No other
pack will accept him, and he can never return. He will forever be a rogue, left to roam alone.

The Pack Alpha feels a wolf being cut from the pack and springs to his feet. Knowing
Jungkook is the only one other than him who can banish pack members, the Pack Alpha
rushes to where he senses his son's presence.

"Leave and never come back. I will rip you to pieces if I ever see you again." Jungkook
snarls once he turns into his human form and eyes the mark of banishment on the cowering
alpha.

Once the other alpha limps away in terror, Jungkook instantly turns to his injured beta.

"Are you okay?" Jungkook cries and pulls off his hoodie, covering Taehyung.

"I-I tried to avoid him." Taehyung sobs and clings to Jungkook.

"I'm here. You're safe." Jungkook whispers and rocks Taehyung in his arms as tears stream
down his face. I was almost too late. I'm so sorry, Tae.

"Jungkook!" The Pack Alpha yells as he runs into the building where his son's scent is strong.

Taehyung panics when he hears the Pack Alpha's voice. The Pack Alpha can't see me in
Jungkook's arms like this. Taehyung tries to get out of Jungkook's arms, but Jungkook
tightens his embrace and releases his soothing scent.

"It's okay, Rose," Jungkook whispers and holds Taehyung tighter.

"Jungkook, what happened?" The Alpha asks when he runs over to Jungkook.

"A rutting alpha attacked him." Jungkook growls in anger and squeezes Taehyung tighter.

"Jungkook, you're going to hurt him if you hold him any tighter." The Alpha softly tells the
angry and scared young alpha.

"I was almost too late." Jungkook cries and looks down at the precious wolf in his arms.

"You weren't too late." The Pack Alpha tells the broken young alpha after making sure that
the beta's scent is untouched.

"He hurt him." Jungkook cries as he looks at Taehyung's bleeding lip and bruised face.

"Let's get him to the hospital." The Alpha tells Jungkook and stands up.

"I can't afford-"

"I will take care of you," Jungkook whispers and presses a gentle kiss on Taehyung's
forehead.

Taehyung quiets at Jungkook's words. He knows that there is no use in arguing with the
young alpha about this.

The Pack Alpha makes sure that Jungkook and Taehyung are comfortable in the car before he
drives them to the family's private doctor, the Pack Zeta.

"What happened?" The Pack Zeta asks as she examines the injured beta while the young
alpha breathes down her neck, watching her every move.

"Another rut attack." The Pack Alpha sighs and shakes his head.

"What are you going to do to keep the betas safe?" The Pack Zeta asks as she begins stitching
a wound on Taehyung's shoulder.

"Make sure that alphas go to rut houses. I will start having mateless alphas register when
their ruts happen. This is getting out of hand." The Pack Alpha answers as he watches the
injured and terrified beta clinging to his son.
Jungkook has not stopped crying since they arrived at the hospital. Taehyung fought hard to
escape, which means that he was badly injured.

"You're okay," Jungkook mutters, trying to convince himself that Taehyung is safe.

"I'm okay." Taehyung quietly answers and squeezes Jungkook's hand.

"You're safe." Jungkook cries and looks at Taehyung.

"I'm safe." Taehyung smiles and rubs his thumb on Jungkook's hand.

"You're so strong." Jungkook softly smiles and carefully kisses Taehyung's forehead.

"I knew that you would save me." Taehyung's words leave Jungkook stunned. He smiles and
cries as he places Taehyung's head on his shoulder. Taehyung closes his eyes and breathes in
Jungkook's scent.

Once Taehyung is sleeping, the Pack Alpha decides it is time to discuss the events with
Jungkook, so they move to the room across the hall.

"You banished the alpha without a proper trial." The Pack Alpha reprimands Jungkook.

"Bastards like him do not belong in this pack," Jungkook answers as his eyes flash red.

"You still need to follow the rules." The Pack Alpha reminds his heir.

"Because of your lax laws and rules, too many betas slip between the cracks and are abused.
Have you seen what life has done to him just because he is a beta? This is also your fault."
Jungkook growls before he storms out of the room, ending the discussion.

When Jungkook enters Taehyung's hospital room, he hears the beta whimpering in his sleep.
Jungkook quickly goes over to Taehyung and carefully lies down next to him. "I'm here.
You're safe." Jungkook softly whispers and pulls Taehyung into his arms.

The Pack Alpha stands at the door and watches as his son cares for one of the wolves he has
neglected. He clenches his fists because his son is right.

Jungkook's eyes flash red at his father in anger when he sees him standing at the door.
Jungkook has always thought his father weak and incompetent. He has watched too many
suffer because of his father's incompetence. He is watching the wolf he loves suffer because
of his father's incompetence.

Sensing Jungkook's anger, the Pack Alpha quietly leaves. As he walks away, he hears the beta
call out for Jungkook in his sleep. He clenches his jaw when he hears the beta call out to
Jungkook.

"Samchon, what happened?" One of the young alphas asks the Pack Alpha as the group of
five runs to him.
"Jin, I am so sorry. I was supposed to protect your generation." The Pack Alpha whispers and
looks at them.

"Samchon, what happened?" Seokjin repeats his question.

"A beta was attacked by a rutting alpha." The Pack Alpha quietly sighs.

"Which beta?" Jimin asks with horrified eyes when he catches the subtle scent of roses.

"Kim Taehyung." The Pack Alpha's answer elicits panic from the group as they run past the
Pack Alpha to Taehyung's hospital room.

"Is he okay?" Seokjin worriedly asks as they stand at the door, not wanting to scare the beta.

"No, he was attacked." Jungkook cries and gently runs his fingers through Taehyung's hair.

"Was he ... was he-"

"He wasn't. I barely made it on time." Jungkook mutters and closes his eyes.

"Thank god." Jimin sighs in relief and collapses to the ground.

"I was almost late. Fuck." Jungkook cries and clings to Taehyung.

"Jungkookie?" Taehyung mutters when he hears Jungkook's cries.

"I'm here. I'm here. You're okay." Jungkook instantly answers and smiles at Taehyung with
tears streaming down his face.

"H-Hold me." Taehyung whimpers as he looks up at Jungkook with big, teary eyes.

"Always," Jungkook whispers and carefully pulls the beta in his arms.

"Please don't let me go." Taehyung cries and clings to Jungkook's shirt.

"Never. I will never let you go." Jungkook quietly cries and holds Taehyung to his chest.

Jungkook gently runs his fingers through Taehyung's hair and softly whispers soothing words
to get the beta to fall back to sleep. Once Taehyung is asleep, the rest of the alphas slowly
make their way into the room.

"What happened to the bastard that did this to him?" Jimin asks in anger as he looks at
Taehyung's bruised and cut face.

"I banished him." Jungkook answers, and his eyes flash red.

"Good." Namjoon nods and mutters.

"As my future Pack Beta, will you promise to help me protect betas?" Jungkook asks as he
looks at Namjoon.
"I promise." Namjoon smiles and sits in the chair next to the bed.

"We all will. You have the promise from all of our families." Hoseok mutters in
determination.

"Thank you." Jungkook smiles and closes his eyes as he holds his precious beta.

When Taehyung wakes up, he snuggles into Jungkook's arms and then looks around the
room. He quietly observes the sleeping alphas as they are positioned around the room like
guards. Jungkook quickly wakes up when he feels Taehyung move in his arms.

"Did you sleep okay?" Jungkook softly asks as he looks at the beautiful beta.

"I did." Taehyung softly nods and looks into Jungkook's eyes.

"Tomorrow is your birthday." Jungkook sniffles and gently brushes his thumb over
Taehyung's cheek.

"It is." Taehyung mumbles and continues to look at Jungkook.

"What does my sweet beta want for his birthday?" Jungkook softly asks and continues to
gently caress Taehyung's face.

"Nothing," Taehyung answers quietly.

"How about getting out of the hospital?" Jungkook asks with a soft smile.

"I would like that." Taehyung nods and places his head under Jungkook's chin.

"Please don't work there anymore. It's dangerous. Plus, I know that you walk home alone
afterwards." Jungkook mumbles and tightens his hold around Taehyung's waist.

"I have nowhere else to work. People don't hire betas." Taehyung mutters quietly.

"You can work for me. I own a cafe. I need someone to fill the spot that a pregnant omega
left empty. Having someone as pretty as you working there will be great." Hoseok quickly
suggests with a soft voice.

"I wouldn't be good to work at the front. I'm invisible." Taehyung quietly mutters while
keeping his face buried in Jungkook's chest.

"You're not invisible. Jimin has had a crush on you for a while." Namjoon grins, then avoids
the violent smack coming toward him.

"Yoongi also creepily stares at you." Seokjin laughs and ignores the angry glare.

"Please, it's safer." Jungkook quietly begs.

"I- Okay." Taehyung nods when he sees Jungkook's desperate eyes looking at him.

"Yes! Problem solved for both of us." Hoseok quickly cheers with a bright smile.
"He's really loud," Taehyung mutters to himself, still not used to people actually hearing him
and acknowledging him.

All of their adoring chuckles vibrate through the room when they hear the beta's murmur.
Taehyung quickly stiffens when he realizes that they heard him. "I'm so sorry." He quickly
apologizes and looks at Hoseok in fear.

"There is nothing to apologize for." Hoseok quickly answers with a reassuring smile.

"Oh, thank you," Taehyung whispers and then hides in Jungkook's arms again.

"Namjoon and I will go get us all something to eat," Seokjin informs the group, then drags
Namjoon out of the room.

"Is it just me, or are they sus?" Yoongi mumbles with slanted eyes as he watches them
disappear.

"Oh, they are very suspicious." Jimin smirks and wiggles his eyebrows.

"Since no one knows I am around, I've seen a lot of things. I've seen them make out in the
bathroom before." Taehyung chirps suddenly, which surprises everyone.

"Really? Oh, the things that we can do with this information." Hoseok mischievously
chuckles.

"They were really loud." Taehyung points out.

"Do you have something on all of us?" Jimin asks, slightly nervous about what Taehyung
knows about him.

"I have a lot on Jungkook," Taehyung mutters, which causes Jungkook to freeze.

"You've never been invisible to me, though." Jungkook panics as he tries to think about times
he would have dismissed Taehyung.

"I've heard others talk about you. You always left when I walked into the bathroom."
Taehyung answers with a shrug.

"He didn't want you to see him sucking face." Hoseok laughs, then stops when Jungkook
growls at him.

"I ran because I was running. I didn't want to hurt him." Jungkook mutters and looks at his
precious Rose.

Taehyung looks at Jungkook in surprise when he hears Jungkook's explanation, while the
others coo.

"Really?" Taehyung asks in surprise.

"Really. I didn't want to hurt you." Jungkook whispers with a soft smile.
"Thank you."
 Red String

When Taehyung wakes up on his birthday, he slightly panics when he realizes Jungkook is
not in the bed with him, but calms down when he smells Jungkook in the room. As he rolls
over, he sees the room filled with balloons and pastel pink winter roses.

"Happy Birthday, Rose." Jungkook smiles and walks over to the smiling beta.

"Thank you." Taehyung smiles at Jungkook with teary eyes.

"Anything for you." Jungkook smiles and gently cups Taehyung's face.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday, dear Taehyung. Happy
birthday to you." The five alphas sing as they walk into the room with the cake in their hands.

Taehyung looks at the cake in surprise because it is his first birthday cake he has had since he
was three. He takes in the beauty of the flames flickering on the candles, then takes a deep
breath to blow them out.

"Have you made a wish?" Jimin asks before Taehyung blows the candles out.

"A wish? No." Taehyung shakes his head and looks at the pretty alpha.

"Since today is a special day, you make a wish before blowing the candles out," Seokjin
softly explains with a sweet smile.

I wish to be happy ... with Jungkook. Taehyung opens his eyes and blows out the candles. He
watches as they all cheer and happily clap. Taehyung reads the pretty words on the cake as
Hoseok carefully pulls the candles out of the cake.

"Happy birthday, My Winter Rose." Taehyung smiles as he reads the pink words.

"Here you go, Tae." Jungkook hands him the first slice of the cake.

"You can have the first slice since you bought it." Taehyung mumbles and pushes the cake
back to Jungkook.

"It's your birthday. The birthday boy always gets the first slice." Jungkook lovingly smiles
and has Taehyung take it.

"Plus, I baked it." Seokjin smiles proudly.

"At my cafe." Hoseok points out.

"I mixed the icing!" Jimin quickly adds.

"I ate the leftover batter." Namjoon chuckles with a grin.

"I bought the ingredients." Yoongi grins.

"I decorated it." Jungkook smiles and gently pats Taehyung's head.

"Thank you." Taehyung smiles with teary eyes.

"Don't cry, Pretty." Seokjin coos and hands a tissue to Taehyung.

As they eat the cake, Jungkook nervously plays with the gift that he bought for Taehyung.
Taehyung notices Jungkook's nervousness, so he gently rests his hand on Jungkook's.

"What's wrong?" Taehyung asks and looks into Jungkook's eyes.

"I uh here." Jungkook mumbles and hands the box to Taehyung.

Taehyung smiles and opens the box. A soft gasp leaves his lips when he sees a red string
bracelet with a silver rose on the crimson band.

"Thank you," Taehyung whispers as he admires the delicate bracelet and brushes his fingers
over it.

"Do you like it?" Jungkook asks as he nervously looks at Taehyung.

"It is beautiful. I love it." Taehyung sniffles and holds the precious bracelet in his hand.

"Let me put it on you." Jungkook smiles and places the bracelet around Taehyung's slender
wrist.

As Jungkook places the red string bracelet on Taehyung, he sees a similar one already on
Jungkook's wrist. When Taehyung traces the red string on Jungkook's wrist, the alpha smiles
and places a gentle kiss on his forehead.

"This is to thank fate for bringing us together, and so that we will be brought together in
every life." Jungkook softly whispers with a loving smile.

This causes Taehyung to blush as he looks at the bracelet on his wrist. He gently touches the
rose and looks back up at the sweet alpha. Jungkook softly smiles and brushes his thumb over
Taehyung's cheek.

"Our turn!" Hoseok chirps out and pulls out his gift for Taehyung.

"Don't worry, Jungkook scented all of our gifts for you." Seokjin's comment caused Jungkook
to wish that he could disappear.

Taehyung grins at Seokjin's cheeky comment and Jungkook's terrified hiccup. As Taehyung
goes through the gifts, he realizes that Jungkook actually bought everything. Every single gift
replaces something old and worn out in his apartment.

"Thank you, Jungkook." Taehyung quietly mumbles and gently pets the soft blanket.
"I told you that he would figure it out." Yoongi chuckles and shakes his head.

"I'm sorry. I just wanted to get you these things. I thought that you would be upset if you
knew I bought them." Jungkook mutters and looks down at his hands.

"It's okay. You can tell me next time, you stubborn alpha." Taehyung huffs, then snuggles the
blanket.

"I won't lie again," Jungkook whispers and looks at Taehyung.

"Good." Taehyung nods and looks at the others because he knows they are hiding what they
really bought for him.

"So, I bought you a sketch pad because I saw you doodling in class." Seokjin smiles and pulls
out a sketch pad.

"I bought you pens to sketch with because Jin hyung and I went shopping together." Hoseok
smiles and hands a box filled with beautiful pens to Taehyung.

"I got you fluffy socks. They looked cute." Namjoon nervously mumbles and hands the socks
to Taehyung.

"I got you a hoodie. You seem to like to wear them." Jimin grins and hands a very soft, purple
hoodie to Taehyung.

"I got you a scarf. I noticed that you don't wear one when it's cold." Yoongi mumbles and
shyly hands Taehyung a white scarf.

"Jungkook scented these." Taehyung giggles and looks over at Jungkook, who is blushing
redder than a tomato.

"Stupid possessive alpha," Yoongi mumbles with a grin.

As they cheerfully talk and celebrate Taehyung's birthday, none of them notice the Luna
watching them. She watches how her son lovingly smiles at the beta. Her expression is
unreadable as she looks at the joy and love in her son's eyes.

"So, the doctor said that you can be released in the afternoon. Jungkook is signing the papers
for your release." Seokjin informs Taehyung as he brushes the beta's long hair.

"I'll pay him back," Taehyung mutters quietly.

"Don't. It's in his nature to care for others, especially for you." Seokjin softly explains and
ties up Taehyung's long, wavy hair.

"I don't want to take advantage of him," Taehyung explains and looks at Seokjin.

"You won't be. When you and another wolf start becoming a couple, you depend on each
other. You will help him when he needs help and vice versa." Seokjin smiles and gently pats
Taehyung's face.
"Couple." Taehyung mumbles and blushes.

"Mates to be precise." Seokjin grins when Taehyung squeaks in surprise.

When Jungkook walks into Taehyung's hospital room, he sees the beta happily talking with
Seokjin, so a soft smile lights up his face.

"He's ready to go. The Pack Zeta wants to see him a week from now to make sure that
everything is healing well. I informed her that I would be staying with Taehyung while he
heals." Jungkook explains to Seokjin while he gently pulls Taehyung into his arms.

"When can I work?" Taehyung asks and looks up at Jungkook.

"Hobi hyung said that you can work when you are able to walk around and stand for a long
time." Jungkook smiles and boops their noses together.

"I have to get paid soon." Taehyung mumbles with downcast eyes.

"Why?" Jungkook asks with worry.

"My father has a lot of debt." Taehyung sighs and looks away from Jungkook. He answers
Jungkook because he knows that the alpha will investigate until he gets an answer.

"Why do you have to pay it? Weren't you left at an orphanage?" Jungkook asks in surprise.

"The debt collectors found me. He gambles, so the people he owes money to aren't good
people." Taehyung quietly sighs and buries his face in his hands.

"This is not your debt to pay. As the future Alpha of this pack and your mate, I will handle
this." Jungkook mutters in anger.

"No. I can pay it." Taehyung fervently shakes his head.

"Don't worry. I won't pay the debt. I will make sure that your father goes to prison and pays
his own debt. Our pack has prisons where debtors can work to pay off their debts." Jungkook
explains and wipes Taehyung's tears away.

"Oh, okay. You can do that." Taehyung mumbles and looks into Jungkook's eyes.

"You will be able to afford a better apartment in a safer neighborhood and your favorite
foods." Jungkook smiles and caresses Taehyung's face.

"And a bed." Taehyung lightly laughs as he looks up at Jungkook.

"Definitely a bed." Jungkook grins and softly pecks Taehyung's forehead.

As they leave the hospital, Taehyung listens to the alphas chatter about how they cannot wait
to visit him when he works at the cafe. He feels a warm feeling of happiness bubbling in his
chest that he has never felt before.
When Taehyung and Jungkook arrive at the beta's apartment building, Jungkook carries him
up the stairs to his apartment. Taehyung softly smiles as he watches Jungkook prepare the
bed area with the new blanket. Jungkook carefully fluffs everything and makes sure that
Taehyung will be comfortable.

Once everything is perfect, Jungkook picks Taehyung up and carries him to the bed. He
carefully places Taehyung on the bed, then pulls the blanket over him.

"Will you let me change your bandages?" Jungkook asks as he grabs the bandaging that the
hospital had given him.

"Sure." Taehyung nods and lets Jungkook pull his shirt off.

Jungkook's eyes flit over the scars on Taehyung's body as he tries not to think about the abuse
that Taehyung has lived through. "Did the debt collectors hurt you?" Jungkook asks as he
carefully takes the bandage off the wound on Taehyung's chest.

"Yes." Taehyung quietly answers and nods.

"I am so sorry. I won't let them hurt you again." Jungkook's voice is soft, and tears prick his
eyes as he looks at Taehyung's wound.

"I know. I trust you." Taehyung breathes out with a shaky smile. This is the first time that he
has trusted anyone, and he knows that if Jungkook breaks his trust, he will shatter into a
million pieces.

"I will not break your trust or heart." Jungkook smiles and cups Taehyung's face with his
hand.

"I know." Taehyung smiles and snuggles his face in Jungkook's hand.

Jungkook carefully cleans Taehyung's wound before bandaging him up and pulling his own
hoodie off to place it on the beta. Taehyung smiles and snuggles into the warm hoodie. As
Jungkook gets everything ready for bed, he feels a cold wind leaking through the tiny
window. So, he grabs one of Taehyung's towels and stuffs it in the crack to keep the cold air
out. When he looks out of the window, he sees snow falling. He sighs because tonight is
going to be a cold night, and he does not know if he can survive finding out more about
Taehyung's difficult life.

"Are you warm?" Jungkook asks as he pulls Taehyung into his embrace.

"Mhm." Taehyung nods and snuggles into Jungkook's chest.

"Good." Jungkook smiles and pecks the top of Taehyung's head.

The beta quickly falls asleep in the safety and warmth of the alpha's arms, but the alpha
silently curses as he blocks the cold wind from reaching his sweet beta. He cannot imagine
how cold Taehyung must have been with the thin blanket and all alone. After a few minutes
of mentally cursing at Taehyung's cruel fate, the beta's soft snores begin to lull Jungkook
towards sleep.
As they fall asleep in each other's arms, Jungkook misses the calls from his mother. He has
shut himself off from his world because he just wants to be with Taehyung in Taehyung's
world until Taehyung is ready to be in his world. He is determined to let the sweet beta know
that their worlds are the same world.

When Taehyung wakes up, he breathes in and takes a deep breath of Jungkook's scent. He
smiles because his dream has not been broken. He is still waking up in Jungkook's arms.

Jungkook smiles when he sees Taehyung's beautiful feline eyes looking up at him. He gently
presses his forehead against Taehyung's.

"Morning, Rose." Jungkook huskily whispers.

"Morning, Jungkook." Taehyung smiles and hums in content.

"Should I carry you to class?" Jungkook asks with a cute grin.

"I can walk." Taehyung lightly laughs and looks into Jungkook's soft eyes.

"I'll carry you." Jungkook stubbornly answers.

Taehyung just laughs and snuggles into Jungkook's arms. After a few minutes, Jungkook gets
up and fills a bucket with warm water, then places a rag in it. Taehyung watches with
curiosity as Jungkook walks over to him with the water.

"Sit up, Rose." Jungkook smiles and sits next to Taehyung.

As Taehyung sits up, Jungkook pulls Taehyung's hoodie off. Taehyung blushes at the quick
motion, then happily sighs when Jungkook gently wipes him down with the warm, wet rag.

"It's not good for you to shower because you'll get your wound wet," Jungkook explains as he
gently pulls Taehyung's pants off.

Taehyung quietly watches as Jungkook finishes wiping him down. He patiently waits as
Jungkook dresses him with a smile, then brushes his hair.

When Jungkook begins undressing to shower, Taehyung quickly looks away, but the quick
glance at the muscles rippling on Jungkook's body causes Taehyung to take a quick glance.
He blushes when Jungkook catches him looking and smirks at him.

"You can look." Jungkook winks as he walks into the shower.

Taehyung just about faints at Jungkook's wink. He just sits there with his jaw wide open and
watches Jungkook shower. When Jungkook gets out of the shower, he grins because
Taehyung is still staring.

"Do you like what you see?" Jungkook grins mischievously.

"I uh, yes," Taehyung mutters and hides his face in his hands.
"That's good to know." Jungkook chuckles as he dries off, then gets dressed for the day.

"Did you move your stuff here?" Taehyung asks when he notices Jungkook grabbing clothes
out of a bag.

"Is that okay?"

"Mhm."
 Crumble

Jungkook happily trudges through the snow with a pouty beta in his arms. When they reach
the school, the rest of the alphas walk over to them with big smiles.

"You look so cute in the scarf, hoodie, and fluffy socks." Jimin coos when he sees Taehyung
wearing the clothes they bought him for his birthday.

"Jungkook dressed me." Taehyung shyly smiles and pecks Jungkook's face, who freezes in
surprise because it is the first time Taehyung has kissed him.

"He did a good job." Seokjin softly smiles as he looks at the blushing alpha.

"Jungkookie!" A voice rings throughout the school as a beautiful omega that Taehyung has
never seen before runs over to Jungkook.

"Eunwoo?" Jungkook asks as he looks at the happy omega.

Taehyung wants to trust Jungkook, but every insecurity fills him when he looks at the
gorgeous omega who smells like the perfect heavenly blend of vanilla and honeysuckle.

"How have you been? We should get lunch together!" The omega happily cheers and moves
to hug Jungkook, then notices the beta in Jungkook's arms.

"What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be in England?" Jungkook asks, his voice
cold and devoid of emotion. Taehyung notices Jungkook's agitation and tightened grip around
him.

"I'm back. I landed last night. Imo (aunt in Korean, he is referring to Jungkook's mother) tried
to call you last night, but you didn't answer your phone." Eunwoo pouts and bats his eyes.

"Why are you back? For how long?" Jungkook asks and pulls Taehyung closer.

"I came back to finish my studies here. I'm back to stay." Eunwoo smiles a blinding smile and
releases more of his sweet scent.

"We will talk later. I have classes right now." Jungkook mumbles and walks off with
Taehyung in his arms.

Who is he? Do I have the right to ask this? Is my fear coming true? It's only been a few days,
but I'm too attached. Should I run away? I'm scared. I've already gotten used to Jungkook.

"Rose, what's wrong?" Jungkook asks when he notices that Taehyung is not paying attention
to anything going on and that his soft scent has soured with fear.

"I uh am I someone who is allowed to ask you questions?" Taehyung mumbles without
looking at Jungkook as his heart trembles with fear.
"You can ask me anything. Nothing is off limits for you." Jungkook softly answers and pulls
Taehyung into his lap.

"Wh-Who is h-he?" Taehyung stutters quietly as he thinks about the beyond stunning omega.

"My ex. We broke up because he wanted to go to England for university." Jungkook explains
and presses Taehyung to his chest.

"Is he still important?" Taehyung barely whispers while dreading the answer.

"No one is as important as you. He is one of the main family's sons. He's Jin hyung's younger
brother. But, other than that, no, he is not important." Jungkook answers softly and pats
Taehyung's back.

"How long did you date?" Taehyung asks with a little more confidence.

"Three years."

"That's a long time," Taehyung mumbles quietly.

"It was three years ago, too," Jungkook tells Taehyung while hoping the sweet beta will not
worry too much.

"Did you have uh well ..."

"We did," Jungkook mutters quietly.

"Oh." Taehyung nods in understanding.

"I never knotted him, though. I've never knotted anyone. I will only knot my mate."
Jungkook quickly responds, carefully gauging Taehyung's reaction.

"Okay." Taehyung quietly sighs with relief because knotting is very intimate for alpha
wolves.

"So, we all agreed to eat at Hobi hyung's cafe for lunch," Jimin tells Jungkook and Taehyung
once he sits next to them.

"That's good. Taehyung will be able to see where he'll work once he's healed." Jungkook
smiles and faces the front of the classroom, keeping Taehyung in his lap.

Jimin takes a quick picture of the adorable couple and then sends it to the group chat. The
group chat instantly blows up as everyone coos over the couple. Jungkook huffs when he
feels his phone constantly buzzing in his pocket.

Once class is over, Jungkook opens his phone and smiles at the picture that Jimin took of
them. After admiring the adorable picture, he saves it to his phone and sets it as his lock
screen and home screen.
When their classes are over, they head to Hoseok's cafe. Jimin drives Jungkook and Taehyung
to the cafe. When they walk into the cafe, Taehyung looks around with a smile because he
has always wanted to work at a quiet place like this.

"Do you like it?" Jungkook softly asks as he looks at Taehyung, who is lovingly being carried
in his arms.

"I do." Taehyung nods and looks at Jungkook.

"Good." Jungkook smiles and walks over to the table where the rest are sitting.

As Jungkook sits down, he gently positions Taehyung in his lap. Taehyung blushes but enjoys
being in Jungkook's lap.

"Order what you want because all employees eat here for free, and these freeloaders eat here
for free, too." Hoseok smiles at the adorable beta.

"Oh, okay. Thank you." Taehyung shyly smiles and looks at the menu.

Jungkook nuzzles his face in the crook of Taehyung's neck as he looks at the menu. "What
are you getting?" Jungkook softly asks as he relaxes in Taehyung's scent.

"I think that I'll get the strawberry cake." Taehyung smiles as he looks at the cake in the
picture.

"Jin hyung is the main baker here, so he made the strawberry cake," Jungkook explains,
which earns a happy squeal from Taehyung.

"I have a fan." Seokjin smiles with pride as he watches the beta get excited for his pastries.

When Eunwoo walks into the cafe, Taehyung becomes nervous. He tries not to look at the
beautiful omega because seeing the beautiful omega causes his insecurities and past trauma to
resurface, causing his gut to twist.

"Jungkookie, what are you getting?" Eunwoo asks as he looks at Jungkook.

"Chocolate crepe." Jungkook mumbles and adjusts Taehyung in his lap.

"Hi, I'm Kim Eunwoo. You must be Kim Taehyung. It's nice to meet you." Eunwoo smiles
and reaches his hand out for Taehyung.

"Uh, it's nice to meet you, too," Taehyung mutters shyly and shakes Eunwoo's hand.

Once his cake has arrived, Taehyung nervously ignores the beautiful omega and picks at his
cake. Seokjin knows that his brother is purposely causing Taehyung to be nervous, so he
begins talking to the nervous beta. "Is it okay, Pretty?" He asks sweetly.

"It's very yummy," Taehyung mutters and looks up at Seokjin with a shy smile.
"Good. If you really like it, I'll make it for you more." Seokjin smiles and gently pats
Taehyung's head.

"What is it that you want to talk about, Jungkookie?" Eunwoo asks when Jungkook doesn't
talk to him.

"Why are you back?" Jungkook sighs and wraps an arm around Taehyung's waist, gently
pulling him closer.

"For school and to be closer," Eunwoo answers.

"Closer to what?" Jungkook mumbles, his voice clipped with displeasure.

"You. I know that I made the wrong choice in leaving. I want a second chance." Taehyung
feels his world collapsing when he hears the omega's sweet words. What if this is what
Jungkook has been waiting to hear?

"If you had come back a year ago, I would have cried and begged you for a chance. Your
words would have moved me. But, not today, not anymore. It is too late. You left. I moved
on." Jungkook answers with a curt and cold voice as he gently rubs his thumb against
Taehyung's stomach, trying to soothe the distressed beta in his lap.

"Give me another chance. You need a good Luna. I am that Luna." Eunwoo points out, which
stuns everyone at the table except Jungkook.

"You aren't my Luna and never will be. I have already picked my Luna." Jungkook's response
causes Taehyung's heart to drop like a rock tossed off a cliff. He's already picked his Luna.

"Who?" Eunwoo asks with slight anger in his voice.

"My Rose," Jungkook answers with a soft smile as he looks at the beautiful beta in his arms.

Taehyung's heart bangs in his ears when he hears Jungkook's loving response. Jungkook
announcing him as his Luna is not something to take lightly. Future Pack Alphas choose their
Lunas very carefully.

"Who is Rose?" Eunwoo asks while clenching his fist, quickly flicking his angered gaze at
the stunned beta.

Jungkook points to the bracelet around Taehyung's wrist. Eunwoo's eyes narrow when he sees
the delicate rose shimmering on the crimson red string.

"Kim Taehyung is my Rose, my Luna." Jungkook softly smiles as he looks into Taehyung's
surprised eyes.

"Me?" Taehyung squeaks in surprise.

"Yes, you," Jungkook whispers and pecks Taehyung's lips.

Taehyung freezes in surprise as Jungkook's soft, warm lips press against his. His eyes widen
in surprise, and a surprised hiccup shakes him. The rest of the alphas at the table coo and
forget the awkward conversation from earlier.

"So, you're not giving us another chance?" Eunwoo asks with anger in his voice and
murderous fire in his eyes.

"I gave you two years to come back, but you didn't. It's too late." Jungkook answers in a curt
tone.

"You're choosing a beta over me?" Eunwoo hisses in anger.

"No. I am choosing Kim Taehyung over everyone." Jungkook answers with an angry glare.

Taehyung's breath hitches at Jungkook's answer. He chose me over everyone? Me? He wants
me as his Luna over everyone this pack and other packs have to offer? How did I earn this
alpha's affection and ... love? Love?

"Do you love me?" Taehyung suddenly quietly asks, to everyone's surprise, as he turns to
look at Jungkook with big eyes filled with disbelief.

"Yes, little Rose. I love you." Jungkook smiles and pecks Taehyung's forehead.

Taehyung hiccups in surprise when he hears Jungkook's response, while the others at the
table softly chuckle.

"You love me," Taehyung whispers, his brain short-circuiting, trying to process the
information.

"Yes. I love you. But it is okay if you don't yet." Jungkook quickly tells Taehyung because he
does not want to burden or pressure him.

"I-I watched from the shadows for so long that I didn't let myself love anyone, let alone the
alpha I could never have," Taehyung whispers and looks down nervously as he tries to sort
out his feelings. He knows that he has slowly fallen for the alpha as he watched him from a
distance and became attached when the alpha suddenly appeared in his life like a tsunami.

of. The alpha has brought nothing but a flood of emotions to the beta. The alpha was

Jungkook's words break the last wall around Taehyung's heart. He knows that there is only
one wolf who would never lie about something like this, and that wolf is the future Pack
Alpha, Jeon Jungkook. Everyone knows that once Jungkook has chosen, that wolf will be the
Luna of the pack.

"Your Luna," Taehyung whispers as his eyes widen, and he looks at the smiling alphas at the
table.

"My Luna," Jungkook mutters as his eyes flash red in possession, and his grip tightens.

"Our Luna." Namjoon smiles and nods at the beautiful beta.

Taehyung realizes that Jungkook has announced his Luna in front of his future council for the
pack. He looks over at the mortified and seething omega. He now knows that no matter how
pretty an omega is or what family they come from, Taehyung is the picked Luna. There is no
going back anymore. The future Pack Beta, Pack Gamma, Pack Theta, Pack Zeta, and Pack
Eta have heard their future Pack Alpha's words. Words that are never thrown around lightly.

"Our future Pack Alpha could not have picked a better Luna." Seokjin smiles and looks at his
younger brother because he knows that his younger brother is spoiled. Eunwoo was raised to
be the future Luna. He was trained in the proper etiquette for a Luna. He always had this idea
that no matter what happened, he would be the Luna, and Seokjin absolutely hated it. He
hated how Eunwoo used that to hurt Jungkook because Jungkook was also raised knowing
that Eunwoo was the future Luna. But Seokjin knew that Jungkook always hesitated and that
his heart was not Eunwoo's to have because he never knotted Eunwoo or marked him. Their
sex was casual and to calm their heat and rut.

Eunwoo looked at his older brother with horror and betrayal. He has always known that his
older brother has never approved of him being the future Luna, but he never expected his
brother to verbalize his disapproval while smiling at him. But he has misread Seokjin's smile.
He does not realize that his brother is happy because he will now be able to find someone he

"My Alpha." Taehyung's words snap Eunwoo out of his stunned state as his wolf possessively
growls.

Jungkook quickly growls back and uses some of his alpha voice, which causes Eunwoo to
shrink back.

"Your Alpha," Jungkook whispers after putting Eunwoo in his place.

Taehyung looks at Jungkook in surprise because Jungkook's alpha voice did not affect him.
He has been forced to submit by many alphas in his life, but Jungkook's voice did not even
make him shiver.

"I will never force you to submit." Jungkook softly explains when he sees Taehyung's
surprised face.

"Never?"

 Our World

A quiet cry leaves Taehyung as he looks at the wolf who loves him more than he ever thought
he could be loved.

"Thank you," Taehyung whispers as he engraves Jungkook's promise never to make him
submit in his heart.

"He is a beta. He can never give you pups." Eunwoo points out with desperation in his voice.

"I don't need pups. I can mark a pup with a family bond and pass the Pack Alpha gene to the
pup." Jungkook explains while tenderly and reassuringly looking into Taehyung's eyes.

"You can do that?" Taehyung whispers while falling more in love with the sweet alpha.

"I can. I am not related to my parents by blood. The Luna had a hard time conceiving, so they
picked a young orphan alpha who had not gotten his wolf yet. The Pack Alpha's mark passed
the Pack Alpha wolf gene to me. That is why I also have the black wolf." Jungkook explains
with a loving smile.

"Really?" Taehyung asks in surprise because no one has ever mentioned this before.

"Really. The pup the Luna just had a few months ago is an omega. She was hoping for an
alpha pup to take my gene from me, but that did not happen. Now, she can't have any more
pups because of some complications with the pregnancy. The gene is mine." Jungkook
whispers as he gets lost in Taehyung's endlessly deep, chocolate brown eyes.

"We're both orphans." Taehyung softly mutters as he begins to understand why this alpha is
not like the others. His life has not been perfect or easy. There is a Luna who has been trying
to get rid of him his entire life because he is just an adopted wolf without her scent.

Seokjin watches with a relieved smile as the sweet couple bonds in front of them. He cannot
stop the warm feeling that fills him as he glances over at the other alpha looking at him with
a soft, loving gaze.

"I love you and will wait for you to love me back." Jungkook smiles and gently presses a soft
kiss on Taehyung's forehead.

"Give me a little time," Taehyung whispers with a soft smile.

"I will give you all of the time you need." Jungkook closes his eyes and presses their
foreheads together.

"I just need a little time." Taehyung smiles and snuggles closer to Jungkook.

As they continue to eat, Eunwoo sends pained glances to his brother and angry glares to the
happy beta. Taehyung ignores the angry omega because he is unsure of what to do for the
omega.

After a couple of hours, Taehyung is exhausted, and his eyes are drooping sleepily. When
Jungkook notices, he shifts Taehyung in his lap and then stands up.

"I'm going to take him home. He's sleepy." Jungkook smiles and gently places a kiss on
Taehyung's forehead.

"Okay. Be safe. Let us know once you are there." Namjoon tells Jungkook as Jungkook walks
off with his sleepy love.

"We can go to your home. My apartment is my past. Your world is my world now." Taehyung
quietly tells Jungkook and looks into his eyes.

"Are you sure?" Jungkook asks in surprise at the sudden change.

"I'm sure. It will definitely take me a while to get used to our world, but I will." Taehyung
smiles and plants a soft kiss on Jungkook's nose. I promise.

"Our world." Jungkook smiles as the sweet words roll off his tongue.

"Our world." Taehyung giggles and cups Jungkook's face.

"Is this going at your pace? Are you sure that you are comfortable with this?" Jungkook asks
as he looks into Taehyung's warm, chocolate eyes for an answer.

"This is my pace." Taehyung smiles and rests his head on Jungkook's shoulder.

"Okay, if you are uncomfortable, tell me. We will leave the moment you tell me." Jungkook
tells Taehyung, then calls his driver.

Taehyung quietly listens to Jungkook's call as he tells others to get Taehyung's belongings
from his apartment and to bring them to Jungkook's place.

"Do you not stay at the Pack Alpha's house?" Taehyung asks, a little surprised.

"No. The Luna is not very fond of me, especially now that her omega pup is in the house."
Jungkook answers without any emotion.

"The five alphas are your family." Taehyung realizes and gently rests his head on Jungkook's
shoulder.

"They are." Jungkook smiles at Taehyung's words.

"I thought they were going home," Namjoon mutters as he watches Jungkook and Taehyung
stand outside the cafe.

When a car pulls up, they all smile. Taehyung is finally allowing Jungkook to take him to
their world.
"Are you comfortable?" Jungkook asks once they are in the car.

"I haven't been in a car like this since I was little," Taehyung mumbles as he gently brushes
his fingers over the leather seats.

"Were your parents wealthy at one point?" Jungkook asks, a little surprised.

"Yes, until my father gambled everything away after sending me to the orphanage. He was
filled with sorrow because his only child was just a mere beta." Taehyung scoffs at the end
and looks down at his hands.

"I am so sorry, Rose." Jungkook softly mutters and places Taehyung's head on his shoulder.

"It's okay. It's the past now." Taehyung sighs and closes his eyes as he enjoys Jungkook's
comforting warmth.

"I wish that I could promise you that everything will be okay now, but the older council will
cause problems." Jungkook mumbles and buries his face in Taehyung's soft hair.

When they reach their home, Jungkook gets out first and gently helps Taehyung out.
Taehyung has to admit that he is enjoying being pampered. After knowing what it means to
be a beta, Taehyung had never allowed himself to dream about someone caring for him.

The moment Jungkook opens the door of their home, Taehyung gasps in surprise and awe. He
looks around at the large modern-styled penthouse.

"It must be nice being the future Pacl Alpha," Taehyung mutters with sparkling eyes.

"I think that it's even nicer being the future Luna because the future Pack Alpha will spoil
you." Jungkook grins and lovingly pecks Taehyung's lips.

"That is very true." Taehyung smiles and rests his head against Jungkook's chest.

"Let's go to our room," Jungkook mutters and carries a blushing Taehyung to their room.

A quiet gasp leaves Taehyung's lips when he sees the beautiful room with a large glass wall
looking over the city. Jungkook notices that Taehyung is looking at the city, so he carries him
over to the glass wall. Taehyung happily admires the city beneath as he listens to Jungkook's
steady heartbeat.

After a few minutes, Jungkook gently places Taehyung on the bed and then sits next to him.
Taehyung carefully feels the silk sheets, then gently bounces on the infinitely comfortable
bed. "It's like a cloud." Taehyung coos as he lies down on the fluffy pillows. He happily
giggles and snuggles into the pillows.

Jungkook lovingly watches as Taehyung snuggles into the bed. His chest swells with joy as
he adores Taehyung's beautiful smile. When Taehyung looks at him, his curly, black hair is in
his face, so Jungkook carefully swipes the hair out of his face and then plants a sweet kiss on
Taehyung's forehead.
"I love you, Little One," Jungkook whispers against Taehyung's forehead, his soft lips gently
brushing against Taehyung's warm skin.

Taehyung smiles and wraps his arms around Jungkook, then breathes in his calming scent.
There is nothing more soothing than Jungkook's smoky and rainy scent. He closes his eyes as
he lets his mind drift into the beautiful unknown of Jungkook.

When Taehyung opens his eyes, Jungkook's red wolf eyes are gently looking at him with so
much love that it makes Taehyung's heart hurt. He wants to look at Jungkook like that, too.

"Take your time, Tae. I know you will love me back when the time is right." Jungkook
whispers as he scoops Taehyung into his arms and lies down with Taehyung on his chest.

"I already have feelings for you." Taehyung quietly tells Jungkook as he plays with the
alpha's long hair.

"I know. I can see them all beautifully swirling in your eyes like an endless galaxy."
Jungkook softly answers with a tender smile.

Jungkook's answer brings a big smile to Taehyung's face. As they rest together, there is a
knock on Jungkook's door, indicating his men are bringing Taehyung's belongings.

"I'll get it." Jungkook smiles and carefully gets up. He does not want Taehyung to move
because of the injuries. He is afraid of tearing the stitches.

When he opens the door, he sees Namjoon standing there with a big smirk on his face.

"As your Pack Beta, I think I should be the one handling all of the future Luna's matters."
Namjoon grins as he and the others carry Taehyung's belongings into the apartment.

"Thank you." Jungkook smiles at his hyungs.

"Where is our pretty Luna?" Jimin asks as he looks around the apartment.

"In the room. I want him to rest since he's still hurt." Jungkook explains as he carries some of
Taehyung's things to the bedroom.

"Ah, okay," Jimin mutters with a pout. Because the bedroom is a sacred place for mates, no
one else is ever allowed into the bedroom, not even close family members. It is their special
den.

"Are the hyungs here?" Taehyung asks as he opens the bag Jungkook set on the bed.

"They are. Do you want to see them?" Jungkook softly asks and gently cups Taehyung's face.

"Sure." Taehyung smiles and lifts his arms for Jungkook to carry him. He knows that until he
heals, the alpha is going to insist on carrying him everywhere.

"Fuck you!" Yoongi's shout at Jimin startles Taehyung when they walk into the living room.
"You two! Enough!" Jungkook barks with glowing red eyes.

"Sorry," Jimin mutters with a bright red blush.

"What are you two fighting for this time?" Jungkook growls as he holds Taehyung close.

"Park started it." Yoongi mumbles and looks down.

"I don't care. Do not fight around Taehyung. Take your fights elsewhere." Jungkook growls
as he gently holds Taehyung.

"Why do you two always fight when you're in love?" Taehyung asks as he looks at the wild
pair.

"Omo! Taehyung sees it too!" Hoseok dramatically gasps

"I would never love Min Yoongi!" Jimin fusses and roughly shoves Yoongi away.

"Like I'd ever like Park." Yoongi scoffs and looks away.

"They've always been like this. We thought they would grow out of it by now, but they
haven't." Seokjin sighs and shakes his head.

"I brought Taehyung out here because he wanted to see you guys, but if you continue to fight,
I'll bring him back to the room," Jungkook warns as he carefully places Taehyung on the
couch.

"We won't fight." Jimin huffs and walks past Yoongi.

"Sorry." Yoongi mumbles, then plops down next to Taehyung, which earns him an angry
growl from Jimin because Jimin wants to sit next to Taehyung.

"Oh boy, they're going to fight over Taehyung now." Namjoon chuckles as he watches Jimin
and Yoongi murder each other with their eyes.

"You two," Jungkook warns as he begins organizing Taehyung's belongings.

"We didn't say anything," Jimin argues without taking his eyes off Yoongi.

"You're letting out threatening pheromones." Jungkook answers and rolls his eyes.

"Don't open that box!" Taehyung suddenly shouts and stumbles toward Seokjin.

Seokjin quickly shuts the box without looking at its contents. Taehyung carefully opens it to
make sure everything is okay, then quickly shuts it when Jungkook approaches.

"Are you okay? Did anything break?" Jungkook worries as he checks on Taehyung.

"I'm okay." Taehyung smiles up at Jungkook.

All of the hyungs look at the box with curiosity because of Taehyung's sudden outburst, but
none of them ask about its importance.

"Do you want me to place it somewhere safe? I won't look in it." Jungkook asks as he carries
Taehyung back to the couch.

"Okay, but don't look in it," Taehyung mumbles quietly.

Taehyung watches as Jungkook tapes the box shut, then carries it to a closet. He watches as
Jungkook carefully places the box in the closet and makes sure it is in a safe spot.

"Thank you." Taehyung smiles at Jungkook when the sweet alpha walks over to him.

"Of course." Jungkook smiles, then kisses the crown of his head.

"I'll show you what's in the box when the time is right." Taehyung mumbles and looks into
Jungkook's understanding eyes.

"Okay, I'll wait."

 Forbidden

After the other alphas leave, Jungkook carries Taehyung back to their bed, then goes to take a
quick shower. While Jungkook showers, Taehyung stares out of the giant glass wall from the
bed. He cannot seem to get enough of the stunning view.

Looking at the city from the sky is so different than looking at it from the gutters. From up
here, it seems so beautiful, calm, and peaceful. From the gutters, it is dangerous, filthy, and
loud.

"Do you like the view?" Jungkook softly asks when he walks out of the bathroom and sees
the adorable beta staring out of the window.

"It's beautiful." Taehyung smiles and turns his gaze toward the shirtless alpha. A bright blush
decorates Taehyung's face and ears as he admires the alpha's rippling body. He quickly looks
away when his body starts heating up.

"Do you want me to put a shirt on?" Jungkook asks as he walks over to the closet.

"No, it's okay." Taehyung quietly answers, then pulls the covers over his face to hide his
embarrassment.

"The more adorable you are, the more I fall in love with you." Jungkook chuckles and sits
next to the tiny lump on the bed.

"Stop it." Taehyung squeaks out in embarrassment.

Jungkook grins and quickly gets beneath the covers with Taehyung. Taehyung gasps when
Jungkook is suddenly staring at him with a happy smile. Now that he is looking at Jungkook's
beautiful smile, Taehyung realizes that he has never seen the alpha smile like this before.
Jungkook's smiles have always been charming and dazzling, but never genuine. Whenever he
is with Taehyung, his smiles are genuine and happy.

Taehyung gently brushes his fingers over Jungkook's face and smiles. Jungkook is happy with
me. I make him smile like this.

"What are you thinking about?" Jungkook asks and lovingly kisses Taehyung's hand.

"Your smile." Taehyung answers, then gasps when Jungkook reaches out and gently wraps
his arm around his slender waist.

"What about my smile?" Jungkook whispers and gently brushes his lips against Taehyung's
lips.

"That it's beautiful and genuine," Taehyung whispers as everything becomes unbearably hot.
Before Jungkook can plant a kiss on Taehyung's lips, Taehyung suddenly wiggles out of the
blanket and sits up to breathe cool air. Jungkook softly chuckles and sits up with Taehyung.
The beta yelps in surprise when the alpha pulls him into his lap.

"How are you so adorable?" Jungkook coos and plants a kiss on the crown of Taehyung's
head.

"I don't know," Taehyung mutters and plays with Jungkook's hands. "Your tattoos are sexy."
He blurts out, then instantly regrets it.

"Really?" Jungkook asks with a grin and rests his chin on Taehyung's shoulder.

"Really." Taehyung murmurs and nods.

"Thank you. I was worried that you wouldn't like them." Jungkook mutters and buries his
nose in Taehyung's scent gland.
