1 Preface
This manual provides instructions for 7090 Local Craft Terminal (LCT) installation
including prerequisites and detailed procedures.

2 Prerequisites
2.1 Software/Hardware Requirements
Table 1 lists the HW and SW requirements for LCT installation on a notebook/PC.

2.2 Other Requirements
The resolution is set to 1600 x 1200 or 1440 x 900.
Ensure that the LCT installation CD-ROM is available.
The monitor display resolution and colour depth are properly set.
The colour depth is set to 32 bit.
The TCP/IP protocol is installed.
The IP address is properly set.
The Ethernet interface on your PC is enabled.
The printer is properly configured if necessary.
The communication port between the server and client is enabled on firewall.
The ports available for 7090 LCT includes:

3 Installing LCT
3.1 Prerequisites
Refer to Chapter 2 for details.
3.2 Installation Procedures
1. Initiate the installation by double-clicking7090M LCT_5.0 00.00.00 Build
3.14.1_B8.exe in the CD-ROM.
2. Proceed to the welcome page and click the Next button.
3. Proceed to the license agreement page, and click the I Agree button to continue
the installation if you agree the statement.
If you do not accept the license agreement, click the Cancel button to quit the
installation.

4. Specify the target directory and click the Next button.

5. Specify the start menu folder and click the Install button.

6. Click the Finish button to complete and quit from the installation. The LCT
shortcut is generated in the start menu and the desktop of your PC.
3.3 Installation Verification
After the LCT is installed on Windows, check whether the installation is successful by
performing the following steps:
1. Check whether a shortcut icon is generated.
2. The shortcut icon is created on the desktop of your PC.
3. The following menu items are created by choosing Start > All Programs > 7090M

5. Uninstall
6. (Optional) Check whether the LCT is opened successfully after you double-click
the LCT shortcut icon on your PC desktop.

3.4 LCT Uninstallation
Before uninstalling the LCT, make sure all LCT processes are terminated.
Uninstall the LCT as following steps:
1. Select Start > All Programs > 7090M LCT V5.0 > Uninstall, the confirmation
window pops up.
2. Click Yes to uninstall the LCT.
3. When the LCT is uninstalled and the confirmation dialog box is displayed, click
OK.
4. Verify that the LCT icon is deleted on desktop.
5. Check the installation folder and make sure the folder is deleted.
