Tekken 3 (PS1)

Just like in Tekken 3 for arcade, on the Playstation the

secret characters are also present, but the
the way to make them available is different. In the arcade the
characters were released over time, that is, afterwards
a few weeks ago the machine started to make available
the secret characters, one by one. There are 9 fighters
secrets in total: the 'little animals' Kuma/Panda; Julia
Chang, the daughter of Micheile Chang; the fourth prototype of
series Jack, Gun Jack; Mokujin, the wooden trunk that
loves to imitate others; Anna Williams, the sister and rival of
Nína WiIIiams; the mysterious Brian Fury; the very powerful
(the old) Helhachi Mishima; Ogre, the God of Fight and True
Ogre, the demonized version of Ogre.

To unlock these characters on the Playstation, you

must finish the game with the normal characters, something
similar to the system used in Tekken 1 and 2, but with
some differences. In the first two of the series, each
a normal character had a subordinate who would be
available if you finished the game with him (the
normal character). In Tekken 3 things change a
little: the 10 normal fighters do not have a sub-boss,
but every time you finish with one of them, a fighter
the secret is released. But how is this? It's simple, every time

secret characters. Remember that you should only use
common fighters to make the secrets available, if
using a secret won't enable another one. There is a
predetermined sequence in which the secret fighters
are enabled. The sequence is as follows: Kuma/Panda,
Julia, Gun Jack, Mokujin, Anna, Brian, Helhachi, Ogre and
True Ogre. So, the first time you finish the
a game with a normal character, Kuma/Panda will be
released; upon finishing once again with another
common character, Jutia Chang will be made available,
next is Gun Jack and so on, until,
finally, you unleash True Ogre.
If you don't want to have a lot of work, go to the menu of
options and set the difficulty to Easy, the time to 20,
number of rounds in 1, enable damage on defense (Guard
Damage) and go after the opponents with combos,
this will speed things up a lot. But, if even
if you don't want to take the trouble to finish the game,
the computer will take care of this problem and act like this
like in the arcade, that is, it will unlock the secrets with the
time. Not in weeks, but rather every 1 or 2 hours of
game.

Theatre Mode

Ending the game with the 10 initial characters (Jin

Kazama, Lin Xiaoyu, Hwoarang, Eddy Gordo, Forest Law,
Paul Phoenix, Lei Wulong, King, Nina Williams and
Yoshimitsu) you gain a new option in the main menu, the
Theatre Mode. This mode consists of displaying the scenes
in CG. Initially, you can see the two
game presentations and the endings of the 10 characters
commons with which you have already finished.

After that, just finish the game with the others.

characters to enable your CG scenes in Theatre

Select from The King of Fighters 96 and 97 (SNK, Neo Geo and
Saturn), just finish with a character and
whenever you want to revisit your ending, just access it through
Theatre Mode.

Tekken Ball Mode

In addition to Theatre Mode, when you finish the game with

the 10 initial characters, the Tekken Ball mode will be
enabled. This is one of the most original game modes and
funny characters that have appeared in a fighting game. In it
you play a mix of volleyball and dodgeball against the
computer or a friend (of course taking one against with
friends are much more fun). First you select
your fighter and then you can choose the type of ball with the
which you and your opponent will play (Beach Ball, the ball
from the beach; Gum Ball, the rubber ball and Iron Ball, the ball
of iron).

Each ball indicates a different damage and difficulty, the

Beach Ball causes 60% damage and its difficulty is
Beginner, a Gum Ball deals 80% damage and its
difficulty is Expert and the Iron Ball deals 100% damage and
your difficulty is Grand Master. Each character
starts from your side of the 'court', which is separated by a
white line, and no fighter can pass to the other side
from the other (if this occurs, through throws by
for example, the fighters will be sent to their
due sides as quickly as possible). The objective is
hit the ball and cause damage to the opponent with it or
make her touch the ground beyond 1/3 of the side of
enemy, both ways cause damage to the opponent.

Notice that when a character lands a hit

special or some common strokes on the ball, it stays
electrified and appears a number representing the
power of the blow struck. The power of the blow is
transferred to the ball, that is, it is as if the ball were the
the blow that the character dealt to her and, if the ball hits
the opponent, he will take damage equivalent to the hit. The
opponent, seeing the energized ball coming in his direction,
you can either give a simple blow or defend her
(sending it back and taking little damage, if there is any)
opted to defend) or strike it with a special blow
(loading it now with the energy of your strike and
sending it in the direction of the opponent). Also note that
there is a bar at the bottom of the screen, this bar goes
filling as the character hits the ball.

If you hit the ball, the bar will fill up.

little; if the opponent is not signaled and sends the ball
again to your side, you can deal another blow
special, so the bar will fill up a little more,
accumulating the energy from the two blows struck. If
you dealt a blow with 15 power, the opponent
sent the ball back to your side and you struck
another shot with 20 power, the ball will cause 35
of damage to the opponent if it hits him now. If he
send it back to your side and you strike again
at 15, it will deal 50 damage and so on, always
accumulating power on the bar. This is also valid
for the opponent, since he also has his own
bar.

The bar will empty if you hit the opponent, so

you will need to recharge it. If you have filled it
a piece of the bar (or all of it) that you have caused
damage to the opponent causing the ball to fall to the ground
next to him, the bar will not empty (it's the chance of
to strike a blow on the ball and hit the opponent as well
fallen, making him take all the accumulated damage). If the
the ball falls on your side of the field, then your bar
it will empty and the same happens if the opponent manages to
hit you with the ball causing damage to your
character. If the bar is completely full,
when applying another special move, she will become involved
with fire and, if it hits the opponent, in addition to burning them, will
cause 100% damage, instant death.

Another thing to mention is that if you get one right

indefensible strike on the ball, instead of the number indicating
the power of the hit, a '!' will appear and the ball will not
trophy. After you finish the game with the 10
initial characters, you get one more presentation.
This new introduction still shows the fighters in

uniform. If that's still not enough for you, then finish the
game with all characters, including the secret ones

Play with Doctor B.

Another secret character. Doctor Boskonovitch is the

creator of the robots from the Jack series (Jack from Tekken 1,
P.Jack from Tekken 1 and 2, Jack-2 from Tekken 2 and Gun Jack
from Tekken 3) and is also responsible for the new hand of
Yoshimitsu (remember the presentation from Tekken 2 of
Playstation?). Now the guy is a real drunkard,
but even so he fights well (well on the ground). For
you must play in Tekken Force Mode to unlock it

You must finish this mode and each time you

he releases some fireballs, applies a kind of
rotation (both in the air and on the ground) and can also
apply shocks and a hit that resembles the famous 'little ball'
from Blanka that ends in a Shouryuken. Enabling
Gon, you also release your beach scenario.

Play with Tiger

After enabling all the fighters already mentioned,

of our capoeirista. This is the last of all the
secrets (is it really?) to be enabled. It's not enough
just release all the fighters, you must also

necessary to finish the game with each one, and only play for
less one fight with each of the 21). After that, just

select Tiger, but only one player can
select him. Tiger enjoys 70s music, doesn’t he?

all your moves are the same as the capoeirista's.
