Sports participation can contribute to good fitness. It is an effective way to
develop health-related fitness.
Muscular strength and muscular endurance are important in sports
performance and daily activities. Muscular strength refers to how much force you
can exert or how much weight you can lift. It allows you to lift heavier weights, run
faster, and jump higher. Muscular endurance is the ability of a muscle to sustain
repeated contractions against a resistance for an extended period of time. It allows
you to perform sports activities for a longer period of time without getting tired and
does not experience muscle pain.

90-degree Push-up (Dynamic)
Equipment: mat
Goal: To perform a proper push-up
Activity 2:
Flexed-Arm Support (Static)
Equipment: mat, stopwatch
Goal: Hold the push-up position as long as possible

Procedure:
1. Use the push-up procedure 1 & 2 for the preparatory position. From position
1, lower the body until the upper arm is parallel to the floor and elbow flexed
at 90 degrees.
2. Hold position 2 as long as possible.
3. Record the time obtained holding position 2.
Activity 3
Curl-up (Dynamic)
Equipment: mat, adhesive tape
Goal: Perform curl-up with proper pacing (3 seconds per curl)
Preliminary: Prepare the mat. Place two tape marks 4 ½ inches apart on the
floor.:
