UTS REPORT

• Bisexual: A person who is attracted to both men and women.

• Cisgender: Someone whose gender identity matches the sex they were assigned at birth.

• Gay: A person attracted to the same sex. It can refer to both men and women, but it is mostly
used for men who are attracted to men.

• Gender: The roles, behaviors, and expectations created by society based on a person’s sex.
- Now some of us might still be confused to what is the difference between sex and gender
o - Sex: Refers to the physical and biological traits of a person, like their body parts (male,
female, or intersex). It’s usually assigned at birth based on anatomy.
o - Gender: Refers to the roles, behaviors, and identities that society expects from people
based on their sex. It’s about how a person feels and expresses themselves (man,
woman, non-binary, etc.).
o Think of sex as what’s physical and biological, and gender as what’s social and personal.

• Gender Expression: How someone chooses to present themselves through appearance,

clothing, or behavior.
- Gender Expression: Paagi sa usa ka tao sa pagpakita sa iyang gender pinaagi sa bisti, estilo sa
buhok, tingog, o lihok

• Gender Identity: How a person feels about their gender—whether they see themselves as a
man, woman, transgender, or something else.
- Gender Identity: Unsaon pagtan-aw sa usa ka tao sa iyang kaugalingon—kung lalaki ba
siya, babae, parehas, o lahi.

• Gender Minority: A person whose gender identity is different from the sex they were assigned
at birth.
- Gender Minority: Mga tao nga lahi ang ilang gender o expression kumpara sa ilang sex
nga natawhan.
• Gender Non-binary: Someone who doesn’t identify strictly as a man or a woman.
- Gender Nonbinary: Mga tao nga dili makakita sa ilang kaugalingon nga lalaki ra o babae ra.
Gigamit usab ang mga termino sama sa "genderqueer" o "agender.

• Gender Nonconforming: A person whose appearance or behavior doesn’t match what society
expects for their gender.
- Gender Nonconforming: Mga tao nga ang hitsura o batasan dili mo-match sa expectation sa
ilang gender (pananglitan, lalaki pero magbisti og sinina sa babae).

- Gender Nonbinary: Refers to a person's gender identity. Nonbinary people don’t identify strictly as
male or female. They may see themselves as both, neither, or something else entirely. It's about how
they feel about their gender
- Example: Someone might say, “I’m nonbinary because I don’t see myself as just a man or a woman.”

- Gender Nonconforming: Refers to a person's gender expression. This means their appearance or
behavior doesn’t match traditional expectations for their gender (like a boy wearing dresses or a girl
with a buzzcut). It's about how they present themselves to the world.
- Example: Someone might say, “I’m nonconforming because I don’t dress or act the way society
expects for my gender.”

-Nonbinary is about identity (who you are).

- Nonconforming is about expression (how you look or act).

A person can be both, but they don’t have to be. For example, a nonbinary person might dress
traditionally masculine or feminine, and a nonconforming person might still identify as male or female.

• -Heterosexual or Straight: A person who is attracted to the opposite sex.

• - Intersex: A person born with physical traits—like chromosomes, anatomy, or hormones—that

don’t fit typical definitions of male or female.
- Intersex: Mga tao nga ang ilang lawas adunay kombinasyon sa male ug female traits—sama sa
chromosomes, hormones, o anatomy nga dili klaro kung lalaki ba o babae.
