surface
3. RC sunken slab to be treated with water proofing shall be checked for
any leakage by water pounding for 24 hours
4. If any leakage found shall be marked and grouting shall be done.
5. Grouting should be repeated till leakage arrested,
6. After cleaning the surface, all the cracks and pot holes should be patched
with cement and bonding material HYDROMENT 476 of BOSTIK in a
proportion of 1 part HYDROMENT 476 and 4 parts of cement.
7. After of2 hours, apply one slurry coat made ofHYDROMENT 476 and

8. After 2 hours apply flIst coat of BOSCOLASTIC and follow 2nd and
3rd coat in minimum 2 hours by brush (in direction perpendicular to the
previous coat). Proportion of BOSCOLASTIC is 10 kg powder and 7.5
kg polymer. Minimum consumption of material is 1.8 kg to 2 kg per
sqm.
9. After 24 hours, protective plaster of minimum 15rum thickness along
with HYDROMENT 476 is a must. Proportion of plaster is 200 kg sand,
50 kg cement and 2 liters ofHYDROMENT 476.

13.After 24 hours ACRYLIC sealant of BOSTIk shall be applied in to the
groove.
14.Hydro test can be done after 72 hours of curing of the sealant for a
period of 48 hours.
15.In case of any leakage after all these exercise we will go for injection
grouting with non shrink chemicals BOSTIK ADO mix.

Work Methodology
4.0 Methodology for water proofing for toilet sunken area.
1. Clean the surface and remove and all malba and flaked slurry from the
surface.
2. Pounding the slab with water for 24 hours to indentify existing leaking
spots, marking the same and grouting all such leakage spots,
construction joints, honeycomb locations and cracks etc. if any leakage
founds then grouting the same with "Hydrogrout" crystalline based non
shrink cementitous grout to full saturation with gravitational pressure or
grout pump as per our judgment.
3. Making cavity covings (Wattas) at the junction of walls and slab.
4. Applying two coats of Ni-O~Pol acrylic polymer modified cementitious
coating to the RCC slab and extending up to 100mm above the FFL on
the vertical surface second coat.
shall
,be
' applied
	 after first coat has dried
and brush stokes shall be perpendicular or at right angles to each other.
5. After 24 hours of NIOPOL coating, laying waterproof and protective
screed !Plaster of average ISmm thk. In one coat to the floor and wall up
to 100mm ht from FFL in cement mortar (1:4) including and mixing
Proofsol LWPI Plastocrete Plus integral waterproofing compound @
100ml per bag keeping the surface rough to receive further finishing.
6. Do the water supply & wastage line as per the plumbing methodology,
7. Complete the all plumbing work as per the drawing,
8. Bore packing: Grouting and sealing around the periphery joints of pipe
by filling micro concrete of sika I Fosroc in the gap between the cut outs
in the slab and the pipe surface and applying "Comproof wettite" SBR
based water borne liquid applied seamless treatment in two coats around
the periphery joints of the pipes at the top etc.
9. Final Pounding should be done for 48hrs. if leakage found then
grouting to be done as per the point no :02
.'
Note: For sides the water proofing coating shall be extended up to a height
of 100mm above the FFL level.
