Personality:
Arianna is an individual who has the outward appearance of being apathetic because of her
deadpan sense of humor, and her sarcasm. Her joking face is hard to discern from her serious
persona. Her moral compass only points the right way 40% of the time. She has no qualms with
stealing but draws the line at murder. She is loyal to those who deserve it, and a competent leader
if forced into the position. However, she refuses to lead when given the choice not to. She has no
qualms with laughing at someone to their face, and practical jokes occur more often in her
presence. She doesn't mind getting into trouble with authority, if no word of the trouble is sent
back to her mothers. She goes above and beyond when it comes to designing and creating
various tech, but does the bare minimum when it comes to anything physically tiring unless a life
depends on it.
Physical Description:
Arianna is a 5'8 African-American human with a prosthetic right arm. She has two tattoos. The
one on the right side of her stomach depicts a Chinese dragon setting fire to the land that he is
supposed to protect. The second tattoo is located on the right of her neck that depicts the death of
the dragon depicted on her stomach. Arianna also has an extensive number of scars that cover her
entire body, the most noticeable being the ones that sits on the right side of her face. Her hair is
purple and long on the left but shaved on the right. Her face usually holds no expression (resting
bitch face) unless she's laughing or concentrating on completing something very difficult. All of
her physical movements are executed at a calm pace in order to not frighten those around her of
her physical appearance and prowess. When it comes to a fist fight, she tends to completely relax
before she strikes.
Biography:
Arianna is the daughter of a Seraphtech Industries Scientist, Centia Nation and the stepdaughter
of an Asari Commando, Khlani T'Vedri. At the age of 9, her right arm was rendered useless by
her abusive father. He came home on September 8th, 2175, with the intent of acquiring the
blueprints of an anti-matter power source from Seraphtech Industries. He set out to accomplish
his task by any means necessary. When a gun to Dr. Centia Nations head wasnt enough to get
the job done, he resulted to mutilating his childs arm in front of her mother. Lucky for both Dr.
Nation and Arianna, the United North American States were in the middle of an Active-SpecialForces Exchange Program, which allowed non-council races the chance to interact and learn
from the elite military forces of the council races. The team sent to save Dr. Nation and Arianna
included an Asari Commando, Khlani TVedri. Ariannas fathers death was delivered just as
slow and painful as the torment that he inflicted on her. Khlani made sure of it. Her father was a
member of Cerberus. He was given a task that jeopardized his family, and he followed the orders
given to him apathetically. Khlani TVedri became Ariannas hero and stepmother in the
aftermath of the tragedy.
The aforementioned events led to her and her mother moving to Thessia, and to the acquisition of
her cybernetic prosthetic arm, her father being all but a distant memory. Her mother was able to
acquire a prototype military grade prosthetic arm for her daughter before she decided to quit her
job as a developer at Seraphtech Industries, with her excuse being that the military grade
prosthetic had the most potential of not being rendered obsolete within the near century. The
military features were disabled, of course, before Arianna gained possession of the prosthetic. It
became Ariannas life goal to disable the firewalls that her mother put in place, and she
succeeded in doing just that at the age of 15 when she met a Turian smuggler by the name of
Brock one day while working in the docks. He showed her how to connect her arm into a data
pad and run a brute force bootloader, until she gained access to all its features. He then
proceeded to replace her mothers firewall with one of his own just so that a kid wouldnt be
running around with a military grade weapon. The important part was that he showed her that it
was possible to crack it. He left Thessia with the promise of giving her a job the next time he saw
her, but only if she could break his firewall. It took Arianna exactly six months to crack his
security code. She was ecstatic.
In June of 2181, he returned to Thessia, and Arianna ran away from home to work for him. She
figured that Khlani could take care of her mother. They deserved some alone time. She left a note
saying goodbye, and went about on her great adventure. When Brocks ship was attacked and
boarded by Batarians in 2183, she was able to escape with her life and the life of a few of her
crew mates. The Batarians didnt know that her arm doubled as a mass accelerator. She managed
to punch a hole through the skull of one of their captors, allowing her and a few other crew
members enough time to flee to escape pods. It was a lucky shot. From that day onward, the
remaining crew members referred to her as Gauntlet."
After the loss of the only father figure that was of any worth to her, and much of the crew that
she came to love, Gauntlet found herself drifting from system to system, taking odd jobs that
required a certain savvy skill set. Her traveling ceased once she received a correspondence from
her step-mother stating that she had become pregnant with Ariannas little sister. Arianna was
initially flabbergasted at the fact that her stepmother was able to get in touch with her while she
was off of the grid, but then, the fear set in. She did not want her little sister to look up to
someone like her. She wanted to be the best big sister that she possibly could be. She wanted to
provide for her sister. A search on the extranet led her to the G.U.A.R.D.I.A.N organization. It
was an organization that she could be proud to tell her mothers that she was a part of. It was an
organization that stood for everything that her father hated. She just thanks whatever higher
power that she was able to get in. Now all she had to do was rise through the ranks. Both of her
mothers were the best at what they did, and she was damn sure that they would accept nothing
less from her.
