Dear Shane Ethnes,

As an Arizona State University Junior in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, I
believe I will be applicable for this job in the near future. I also minor in Family and Human
development, so I have knowledge about early childhood growth patterns, and ways to keep
children healthy. I heard of this job through the Arizona Education Employment Board.

I strongly believe I am qualified in this position for multiple reasons. I have interned for Hunkapi
Programs, Inc. This organization serves children and adults with a wide range of disabilities
through therapeutic house back riding. This type of therapy taught me many applied behavior
analysis (ABA) techniques, with the help from their skilled instructors. I have also have been a
nanny for multiple families. Nanning gave me experience with caring for younger children in a
home setting. I have experience writing lesson plans, and working with multiple children at once.
I volunteer at a local pre-school in my spare time. I am very confident with speaking in a public
setting. Furthermore, I have taken early intervention courses, so I understand the paperwork and
requirements needed to work with special needs children. After graduation, I will have more
interning experience for multiple school districts.

In conclusion, I am confident that my past experiences and further experiences will qualify me
for this career path. I have a very friendly personality that children appreciate. I would be a hard
working team member for your faculty, and strive to teach children to reach their full potential
with their education. I am eager to speak with to discuss possible opportunities for me. If you
need me my email is leherzbe@asu.edu. You can see more work accomplishments of mine on
