Lesson Schedule
Targeted teacher language: Good morning grade 4, How are you, Today I have many interesting acti

Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:
After greeting I will show the students video about dinosaurs they should focus with the 15min
video. After that we will discuss about what they watch in the video,

Then I will give each student card contains about text description of the dinosaur
and I will read it the text for the students. After reading I will let some of the
students to read the text again then I will ask the students some questions
about the text such as: (Do you think all of the dinosaurs have same size or
different size? All of the dinosaurs eat meat? Can you see the picture of
dinosaur in the text, What's the name of this dinosaur? Talk about the
Diplodocus? ).
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures): 20min
-I will show them a PowerPoint that includes pictures of dinosaurs and the new word and
the name of each dinosaur.
- I will give each group different pictures of dinosaurs and they should talk and describe the
pictures what they have.
-I will give each student a worksheet that includes pictures of dinosaurs and some of words
that help the students to answer and they should to match each word with correct pictures
and classify each name of dinosaur with the correct picture.
Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment): 10min
- I will give each student a plastic plate and I will give the students colors and pencils
and they should to draw the dinosaurs what they preferred. After that I will let some
of the students to talk about their own drawing they should to say what's the name
of dinosaur they draw it and describe it.
The text
There were many different kinds of
dinosaurs and they were all different sizes.
Some ate meat and others ate plants.
Most dinosaurs had four legs, but some
Had two small front ones, like arms.
This made it easier for dinosaurs to
catch and kill animals.
This dinosaur is called Diplodocus and it
weighed the same as five elephants.
It couldnt run fast. You can see in the picture
it had a very long neck so that
it could eat leaves at the top of trees. It didnt
eat meat at all.
Scientists believe that the Diplodocus used its
tail to fight.
