Goal: Name and locate the world's continents, major bodies of water, mountain ranges, rivers, all countries, and major cities
Supplies:
5 different colored markers, pens, colored pencil, crayons/ways to color
Light blue marker
pencil
Directions:
1. Write your name, class, and date on the top of the page in pencil.
2. On the back of this page, using the given map, label the worlds continents using the word box. Then color each continent a
different color.
3. Label the bodies of water and color them light blue.

Use the maps in your atlas to do the following:
1. Approximately locate and label the top major cities* in the world with a red dot. (Using the same worksheet as your land & water worksheet)
New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, Geneva, Seattle, Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Paris, London, Sydney, Johannesburg, Zurich, Chicago, Copenhagen,
Tokyo, Singapore, Mexico City
2. Draw an iconic symbol
for that city.
(The first two have been shown
in a larger scale in the map of
the United States).

Directions: Using the map of the United States which has been provided for you on the Cities Worksheet, fill out all 50 states of the United States*.
When your map is finished, it will represent the different countries (states) of the U.S.. The same will be done for the remaining regions/continents:
The rest of North America including Canada and Mexico (along with U.S.)
Antarctica
South America
Europe
Australia
Asia
Africa

*Please note: the United States is only


one region of the Northern Hemisphere
because it excludes Canada and
Mexico, as shown to you on the map in
the small square beneath the Atlantic
