DLP Format

Newly hired teachers without experience are required to submit detailed lesson plans (DLP) for a year. Teachers who earn a high performance rating after a year may stop submitting DLPs, while teachers with a satisfactory rating must continue submitting DLPs until their rating improves. A DLP includes objectives, content, learning resources, teaching procedures, remarks, and reflection on what worked well, what didn't, and difficulties that need assistance to address.

DETAILED LESSON PLAN (DLP) FORMAT

Note: Newly-hired teachers WITHOUT professional teaching experience shall be REQUIRED to prepare a daily Detailed
Lesson Plan (DLP) for a year. Applicant teachers as well as teachers in the service including Master teachers who will
conduct demonstration teaching shall be required a DLP.
Newly-hired teachers who earned a rating of Very Satisfactory or Outstanding in the RPMS in a year shall no
longer be required to prepare DLPs, while newly-hired teachers who earned a rating of Satisfactory shall still be
required to prepare DLPs until such time that their RPMS assessment has improved.1
