ADMINISTRATIVE FINES
First Offense - Php 1,000.00
Second Offense – Php 2,000.00
Third Offense – Php 5,000.00, the business permits or licenses to operate shall be cancelled or revoked
(if a minor is caught buying, selling, or smoking cigarettes or any other tobacco products, the provisions
of R.A. 9244 other known as the “Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006” shall apply)
PROHIBITED AREA :
* enclosed public places
* public conveyance
* all schools in Tacloban City (including classrooms, offices, & all other
open areas in campus)
* Gov.t Offices / area in Tacloban City (Civil Memorandum
Circular No. 7, s. 2009)
DESIGNATED SMOKING AREA.
* areas equipped with exhaust facilities which are to be identified by the
administrator, owner, operator or manager of said establishment / publig
building, or offices

PENALTIES AND THEIR IMPOSITION
First Offense - Php 500.00 / mandatory community service for five (5) days
Second Offense – Php 750.00 / mandatory community service for seven (7) days
Third Offense – Php 1,000.00, mandatory community service for ten (10) days or subsidiary
imprisonment not exceeding six (6) months, in case of insolvency of both such
fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.

* in parks
* in rivers, lakes, & stream, etc.

days, if violators fails to pay the fine, and to suffer subsidiary

OVERNIGHT PARKING
Section 1. - Overnight parking in front of one’s residence or business establishment along the
City Street or National Highway, road shoulder or sidewalk shall be prohibited.
However, the owner or operator of said motor vehicle may apply for a Mayor’s
Permit to park from 11:00 o’clock in the evening until 5:00 o’clock in the
morning and thereafter, said vehicle shall be removed from the designated
parking area.
FEES FOR OVERNIGHT PARKING :
1. For cars and Jeepneys - P 500.00 / quarter
2. For buses and trucks - P 1,000.00 / quarter
3. For containerized vans or trailers - P 1,500.00/quarter
PENALTIES :
* Any violations of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine of not more than Two Thousand
Pesos ( P 2,000.00) or imprisonment of one month or both, at the discretions of the court.
