integrated dynamometer test stands, and other custom power
conversion solutions.
AC2000P
The AC2000P lineup is a series of high performance power
supplies that have been used by R&D leaders such as General
Motors, Advanced Energy, and Delphi Corporation to develop
cutting edge products for today’s market. Contact us today about
building a custom AC2000P that fits your needs.
Higher Voltage, Higher Power Available
AEC is pleased to announce that the AC2000P line of power
supplies has been upgraded to serve the needs of the renewable
energy industries. While still retaining the performance
necessary for high-fidelity automotive and aerospace
applications, the AC2000P line of power supplies have been
re-designed to offer power levels up to 1.32 MW+ and output
voltages up to 2000VDC+.
Features:
• Highly regulated DC output for exceptional performance even 36 kW Power Supply - AC2036P
under large transient loads.
• Local control is available through a touchscreen interface for
easy maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Remote control is available through ACSYSoft software on
any Windows XP* or Windows 7* computer.
• AC2000P power supplies can also be controlled remotely
through AEC’s driver interface. This allows you to harness
the power of LabVIEW**, .NET Framework, C++, and many
other programming languages to integrate AC2000P power
supplies into your existing software platform for automated
testing.
• Cabinets are built taller rather than wider to minimize floor
space. Perfect for R&D applications. (NOTE: some units
require external isolation transformers and/or cooling
system).
• Many power supplies are available for fast delivery. Contact
AEC for more information.
* Windows XP and Window 7 are trademarks of the Microsoft Corporation.
** LabVIEW is a trademark of National Instruments Corporation.
• Remote voltage sense compensates for IR
output cable drop or automatically adjusts the
output voltage for battery loads.
• A built in shunt (optional) protects the customers
inverter during power outages. This prevents the
unit under test from being damaged during
regeneration.
• In battery simulation mode, AEC power supplies
simulate an internal resistance based on
temperature , current, state of charge, and time.

Battery Simulation—
AEC Power Supplies come equipped with battery simulation software
that allow the power supply to mimic the output characteristics of many
different battery types. Some features of battery simulation include:
• Over 10 adjustable parameters are provided for adjusting battery
characteristics including:
• Open circuit voltage
• Relaxation time
• Device capacity
• Number of series cells
• Regime of stop time
• Ohmic resistance
• Surface and bulk charge polarization effects
• View a real-time plot of State of Charge against time.
• The simulation may be paused at any time during its run cycle and
resumed later.
