Dear Elisabeth Minzer,

My name is Julie Mayes. I’m currently a Special Education and Elementary Education
Major at Arizona State University. I found your position from the Arizona Education
Employment Board. I’m interesting in this position because fourth grade is the year I most want
to teach, and because it seems like a good opportunity. I will have a bachelors in arts education,
and with it I’ll have 2 years experience in Arizona’s iTeach program, as well as half a year’s
experience teaching in the Child Study Lab Pre-K at Arizona State University. I feel as if this job
would be a good fit for me because of this experience. I work well with children, and also have
experience working at school volunteer programs with children from when I was in middle and
high school.
