Super Awesome Places To Visit In North Goa

1. Fort Aguada:
It is the most frequented fort of all the other architectures in Goa. Initially, Fort Aguada was a
house of Portuguese, now is transformed to a jail. Don’t miss the view from the lighthouse while
you are here.

Opening hours: ​10:00 am to 5:30 pm without entry fee.

2. Temple of Bogdeshwara:
One of the important temple of North Goa is a masterpiece on its own. You can spend hours in
the temple attending rituals of the Lord.

3. Bicholim:
It is the hub of pottery. Pick some hand-made objects and interact with the potters themselves.

4. Calangute Beach:
It is named as “queen of beaches” by many tourists. Shopaholics—big showrooms of graceful
handicrafts from Indonesia, Tibet and Kashmir are lined up on the main road alongside the
beach.

5. Candolim Beach:
There are no shops, restaurants or any commercial activity. It is a calm and peaceful beach with
pacific water. Scrubs covered dunes at the back is the major attraction.

6. Vagator Beach:
The crescent shape beach known for Sunburn is secluded in other months of the year.

7. Anjuna Beach:
The beach nests between the Aravalli hills. It is famous for its flea market that is set on every
Wednesday and the awe-inspiring view it renders.

Super Awesome places to visit in South Goa

1. Arossim:
For solitude seekers. The up-market here serves some scrumptious Goan dishes like Casa
Sarita, vindalho and the mushroom xacuti. Pricey resorts though.

2. Loutolim:
Best spot for viewing Portugese architecture. The most popular places to visit here would be
Casa Araujo Alvares and a whitewashed Church Salvador do Mundo. Loutlim is also known for
its ancestral museum.

Rameshwaram

Start at 5.15 AM
It takes only 5 minutes to reach the sea from any of the lodges in Rameswaram near the
temple. It is believed that the sea is free from strong waves and the people can try swimming in
the early morning. Further, the people can also perform rituals (thithi) for their ancestors. Spend
around 40 minutes in the sea and enter Ramanathaswamy Temple. If you prefer, you can dip
your head in Twenty Two Tirthas from 22 wells considered as holy water.

7.00 -8.30 AM
Return to the hotel to freshen up and after taking your breakfast visit Agnitheertham, an
amazing sea shore, Ramar Padam (Rama’s Feet), and Gandamadana Parvatham.
Gandamadana is a hillock situated at a distance of just 3 km from the main temple. You can
easily reach the place by catching a bus, cab or taxi available in the city. This is considered to
be the tallest spot in Rameswaram and people can view the entire beauty of the sea from this
point. Near the hillock, there are number of temples and historical monuments to visit. Don’t
forget to visit Sita Theertham and Laxman Theertham located in the city.

12.00 Noon
Return to the hotel to have lunch and relax for a while.

2.00 PM
Get ready to visit Dhanushkodi Beach which lies at a distance of 18 km from the main temple.
Buses are available for the travelers to reach the destination in short frequency. The city is
popularly known as ghost city after its damage caused by the cyclone in the year of 1964. In
Dhanushkodi Beach, you will be able to visit some of the old temples and the remnants of the
churches. The beach is one of the best tourist spots to relax in the lap of sands. On your way
you can visit Jada Theertham and Nambu Nayagiamman Temple. People who are looking for a
comfortable travel can select the tourist cabs instead of buses. OIone is not allowed to visit or
stay in Dhanushkodi at night.

6. 30 PM
Once in the hotel room in the evening you can refresh yourself with a cup of tea and coffee
accompanied by snacks. You can visit the main temple for evening Dharshan and spend some
time there. If you have time, you can shop for some some artefacts and local handicraft items.

Dedicated to Lord Vigneshwara, this temple is known for its tank, which is said to be the biggest

Constructed in 8th century during the Pandyan reign, it was carved out of a single rock. One of

Kanyakumari is an over-rated tourist attraction simply because of its geographical location. The
best attraction, which shouldn't be missed is ​Padmanabhapuram Palace​, on the way to
Trivandrum. You can skip sunset view and visit this palace instead.

Most places in Kanyakumari can be completed visiting by mid-day, you can proceed to
Padmanabhapuram after lunch, 2hrs.
