Career Goals

I have been attending undergrad at UMBC since the fall of 2015, attempting to get my
BA in psychology. However, partway through my studies, I discovered that psychology wasn’t a
good fit for me anymore and I wanted to follow my true passion: caring for animals! I dropped
everything I was doing and transferred to CCBC, where I am currently working on the
prerequisites for the Vet Tech program. Assuming all goes according to plan, I can graduate
from the program in 2020 and move on to the work force. Ideally I would like to work in a vet’s
office for a few months to integrate myself in the world of animals and medicine and really get
my bearings. From there, my goal is to work with rescue animals and animals that are living in
shelters in order to make them more adoptable and to get them into safe homes!
