Job Description
Role Overview: You will be responsible for tasks such as reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries and reports, researching variances, performing account analysis, maintaining accounting system data, and communicating with other teams. It is expected that you work during EMEA hours, i.e. 2 pm to 11 pm IST, and beyond that on a need basis. You will be required to work all 5 working days from the office. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to the month-end close process to prepare timely, accurate financial data that is in compliance with US GAAP and Avalara accounting policies. - Accurately reconcile accounts, summarize activity, and resolve reconciling differences appropriately. - Perform accounting and control procedures related to the Client Trust. - Review financial statement fluctuations and prepare detailed supporting schedules. - Preparation of requested audit documentation and analyses. - Assist in fielding inquiries by researching and interpreting data. - Partner with the business to record monthly accrual entries. - Collaborate with different functional teams across the globe to continue to develop accounting processes and actively contribute to a disciplined financial statement close. - Able to analyze and recommend improvements to major systems, processes, or policies. - Perform ad-hoc accounting projects as directed. Qualifications Required: - Strong background from SaaS industry. - Minimum 4-6 years of intermediate accounting experience. - Experience with accounting under US GAAP. - Big 4 experience is preferred. - Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance is preferred. - Experience performing intercompany accounting for both foreign and domestic entities is preferred. - Experience with NetSuite (preferred) or other large ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP. - Highly proficient analyzing data in Microsoft Excel. - Strong verbal and written communications in English. - Demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and act as the primary owner of individual projects, analyses, or processes. - Strong sense of ownership and responsibility. - High integrity and ethical standards. - Ability to communicate effectively with and develop effective working relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders. - Commitment to continued improvement as demonstrated by streamlining processes. - Highly motivated and dedicated to contributing to the growth and success of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the final technical escalation point for Incident and Problem Management (L0-L3), performing deep-dive analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution for critical outages. - Lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of specialized Telco/Security platforms like A10 CG-NAT, F5 BigIP, and Fortigate ADC/Firewall. - Design, implement, and manage monitoring dashboards and alerts, as well as oversee the operation and optimization of the SGBox Log Management system. - Monitor and respond to security events, perform vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with operational security policies. - Create, refine, and enforce SOPs and Methods of Procedure for routine maintenance, fault isolation, and disaster recovery scenarios. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior NOC/SOC analysts and conduct post-mortem analysis to prevent recurring incidents. - Architect, configure, and manage Carrier-Grade Network Address Translation (CGNAT) solutions on A10 Networks devices. - Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot IP Detail Record (IPDR) or equivalent Open-Source logging solutions for CGNAT session logging. - Manage DNS and Network Time Protocol (NTP) services utilizing F5 BIG-IP DNS for intelligent traffic steering and high availability. - Design and manage complex Application Delivery Controller (ADC) solutions and load-balancing services using F5 BIG-IP Local Traffic Manager. - Configure, manage, and optimize FortiGate firewalls for network segmentation, security policies, VPN termination, and threat prevention. - Integrate core devices with the SGBox platform for centralized Log Management and SIEM correlation. - Utilize scripting for configuration management, device provisioning, and log analysis automation. Key Skills and Qualifications: Network & Core Telco - Expertise in CG-NAT configuration and troubleshooting with A10 or similar platforms. Load Balancing & ADC- F5-BigIP - Advanced administration of LTM, GTM/DNS, iRules scripting, and high-availability setups. Security & Firewalls-Fortigate - Strong experience with deployment, policy management, routing, and ADC features. Logging & SIEM- SGBox - Proficient in managing, querying, and configuring alert correlation rules within SGBox or a comparable SIEM/Log Management solution. Infrastructure Services-DNS / NTP - Expert-level knowledge of BIND/ISC-DNS or similar, synchronization protocols, and operational security. Data/Billing-IPDR - Understanding of IPDR generation, collection, and correlation for billing/lawful interception purposes. Operating Systems-Open Source - Advanced proficiency in Linux for application/server management, scripting, and service troubleshooting.
