Job Description
Role Overview: As a Financial Accountant at dsm-firmenich, you will be responsible for accounting and reporting activities, ensuring timely closure of books as per designated timelines. You will support Regional Financial Controllers in coordinating with Sub-ledger teams and be involved in various closing processes related to accounting, reporting, intercompany accounting, reconciliation, asset accounting, and CFA/Tax departments. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the point of contact for a specific legal entity/Unit, including tasks such as preparation of aging reports, month- and quarter-end close, support in FOOP, CAPEX, OPEX, and management reporting. - Monitor accounting processing of FSS, process journals for the financial part of the Enterprise Model, and update SAPSEM and consolidation sets in SAP SEM. - Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliation analysis, distribution of accounting period-end timetables, reconciliation of ledgers and sub-ledgers, and obtaining approval for accounting period-end timetables. - Collect budget and forecasting data, enter budget numbers into SAP, prepare Crystal Reports for applicable units, and support Regional Finance Team during audits. - Ensure compliance with internal control requirements, monitor the internal control framework monthly, follow up on remediation plans, submit Statement of Responsibility in SAP-GRC control documentation, and support the External Audit process. Qualifications Required: - Commerce graduate with a minimum of 4-7 years of experience. - SAP experience is a must.
