Job Description
Role Overview: As the VP, Quality Engineering (QE) Leader at Synchrony, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to SYF Testing Standards to deliver high-quality products efficiently. You will lead a team of Test Architects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance quality processes and drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives to elevate the Quality Engineering Maturity of the Teams. Reporting to the QE COE Leader, you will play a pivotal role in transforming and executing the Overall QE COE Vision for the designated Portfolio(s). Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a team of Test and Automation Architects to enhance Testing Effectiveness and Automation testing, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. - Embed quality as a core discipline throughout the software development lifecycle. - Design, implement, and enhance testing frameworks and tools with a focus on test automation, continuous integration, and delivery. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality processes across all software development lifecycle stages, ensuring customization and compliance. - Utilize data-driven insights to monitor quality indicators, track trends, and proactively resolve risks/issues. - Establish and uphold policies, procedures, and standards across all software development lifecycle stages. Qualification Required: - Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing quality engineering teams. - Solid understanding of software development, Agile, and SAFe methodologies along with associated tools. - Experience with DEVOPS - CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, CloudBees, etc. - Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels. - Strong program management skills to prioritize tasks and meet timelines. - Ability to deal with ambiguity, translate vision into clear actions, and track large organizational initiatives to completion.
