The aim of the Lavatron RF treatment is to increase the temperature deep within the skin (for Skin tightening) or in the hypodermis (for fat reduction & cellulite). The deep, focussed heat, causes an increase in cellular metabolism and a reduction in the size of fat cells. It also increases blood circulation, improving the appearance of cellulite on the body as well as general skin function. Heating the dermis also causes existing collagen fibres to contract, resulting in immediate skin tightening. This heat also stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin within the skin. This creates a long-term tightening effect that is seen in a couple of months as the newly created collagen begins to mature and tighten the skin tissue.
