Early or beginning skin tags may be as small as a flattened pinpoint-sized bump around the neck. They tend to increase in size the longer they are left untreated. Some skin tags may be as large as a grape.
The appearance of skin tags is not in itself a health concern but there may well be a medical reason behind their appearance. Skin tags develop in both men and women as they grow older and they tend to be more numerous in obese persons as well as in those with type 2 diabetes.

Skin tags are a common concern we observe daily and there are treatments available to successfully remove them. Laser therapy can be used to cauterize the little lesions one by one. The skin tags will initially become darker after the treatment, but within a few days it will fall off. It is important to know that once these lesions have fallen off, the skin is quite sensitive and needs to be taken care off, using a SPF daily is strongly advised. Using a pigmentation suppressor 2-3 weeks prior to the treatment will also help to prevent hyper pigmented spots from developing. The areas you mentioned are the typical areas one would find theses lesions, they are often caused by friction, but can also be due to genetics. There is not a lot one can do to stop it from occurring, other than try to avoid clothing that promotes friction and trauma in those areas. In most cases, the best course of action will be to remove the ones that are present now and then to do maintenance treatments to remove new ones from becoming bigger.

Consultation with Dr Louise at Brooklyn branch was so wonderful and informative, she makes sure you understand and discusses the best treatments to suite your budget. I had my first session with skin therapist Rochelle and I must say she is very sweet, gentle and loving. I'm already seeing a difference on my skin after just 1 session and home products. I cannot wait for my 2nd session.
MoreWONDERFUL, WELCOMING AND PROFESSIONAL... there are not enough words to articulate my experience. I am from Los Angeles and found Durban Aesthetic Clinic online. I contacted them and appointments were arranged. From the front staff to the the Doctor, each step and all possible treatments, were effectively explained and were focused on my comfort. I will be back.
