Togedemaru (トゲデマル, Togedemaru) is a creature from the Pokémon franchise.
Origin[edit]
Togedemaru is an Electric/Steel-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VII, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #777 as the "Roly-Poly Pokémon". Its appearance follows a design similar to electric rodents from other generations in that its face bears a resemblance to Pikachu's, being among the few Pokémon in each region commonly referred to as a "Pikaclone".
Spark is an Electric-type physical move with 65 base power, 100% accuracy and a 30% chance to inflict the Paralysis status on the target.
In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate[edit]
As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]

Togedemaru appears in Ultimate, attacking opponents by using Spark. A strong lightning bolt crashes down on Togedemaru similar to Pikachu and Pichu's Thunder, resulting in an electric field appearing around it that causes damage to opponents upon contact. The bolt deals 15% in the first 2 frames then weakens to 12%, while the electric field deals 1.5% every 7 frames as well as 8% at the very start and end. It then bounces to another location and repeats the process once more.
Its voice clip in the Japanese and English versions is from the Pokémon anime's Japanese original.
Togedemaru's bolt spawns from a thunder cloud 200 units above Togedemaru, moving downwards at 5 units per frame for up to 60 frames and passing through solid surfaces for 195 units. When the bolt is within 9 units of Togedemaru it will absorb the bolt and create an electric field for 120 frames. After the electric field dissipates, Togedemaru waits 90 frames before moving and repeating its routine.
Togedemaru has a spawn chance of 40/1463. It can be summoned on all stages in a standard versus match.
Spirit[edit]
Togedemaru also appears as a Novice-class primary spirit.
Togedemaru's Spirit Battle uses four spiky-eared Pichu puppet fighters and is fought on Prism Tower. The Pichu are easily distracted by items and favor down specials. One Pichu also starts with a Poké Ball containing Togedemaru.
