Maserati 200S on display at LARUSMIANI Automotive Gallery during Milan Design Week 2025

In Milan at a time of year when design, Italian style, elegance, and innovation are celebrated, Maserati is the guest at the LARUSMIANI Boutique, for an extraordinary Avant Première of FuoriConcorso, an exclusive automotive culture event to be held on May 24 and 25 at Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota in Como.

During Milan Design Week 2025, a prototype of the futuristic racing car built by the House of the Trident from 1955 to 1957 is in the spotlight in the MonteNapoleone District, an iconic location and home – at Via Pietro Verri, 10 – of the historic LARUSMIANI brand, synonymous with “Hand-Made in Italy” quality for over a century.

Conversely, Maserati and LARUSMIANI are both ambassadors of “Italian Luxury” around the world, united by a strong vocation for elegant and timeless design: two brands that have managed to breathe life into products that have entered the collective unconscious and become icons.

The 200S on show is just one example. It was the second model produced by the Modena car manufacturer in April 1956, with sports bodywork by Fiandri.
It was used in various competitions by drivers such as Gilberto Cornacchia (son of the owner of the Maserati dealership in Milan at the time) and the Neapolitan Mennato Boffa, until May 1960.

The car had an in-line four-cylinder engine, derived from the 150S’s, with a displacement of 1,993 cc and two Weber 45 DCO3 carburettors, with the capability to deliver an output of 190 CV at 7400 rpm.

This 200S, after the time it spent active in motorsport, was kept in the Maserati factories until 1999 when it became part of the Panini Collection in Modena; in the same year, it was then sold to the current owner, who began the restoration to return it to its former glory.

The sparkling red 200S is not the only “design piece” Maserati is showcasing during Milan Design Week 2025. The brand is also there together with the furniture makers Giorgetti with a collaboration that celebrates Italian savoir-faire and the quest for innovation, through the presentation of two works created based on the perfect combination of style and technological innovation: an interior design collection and a Grecale one-off from the Maserati Fuoriserie Customization Program.

The GranTurismo is available with both the high-performance V6 petrol engine, derived from the Nettuno, and a 100% electric version: the GranTurismo Folgore, the first car in the Modena-based brand’s history to adopt this solution. The full-electric range also currently includes the Grecale Folgore, Maserati’s first 100% electric SUV, and the GranCabrio Folgore. Finally, the House of the Trident’s latest addition is the Maserati GT2 Stradale, the road-legal version of the GT2 that took Maserati back to the track in closed-wheel championships. The heart of the new super sports car is the V6 Nettuno engine, reaching 640 hp (471 kW) in the latter configuration. The GT2 Stradale is therefore the most powerful road-going Maserati with an internal combustion engine.

This all-Italian partnership is founded upon shared values: meticulous attention to detail, the pursuit of perfection, and the desire to offer unique experiences. Both Houses embody the Italian concept of “beautiful and well-crafted,” appealing to a refined, sophisticated audience that demands uncompromising quality in a dialogue where each brand inspires the other, giving rise to new creative challenges and journeys.

“The encounter between Giorgetti and Maserati is more than just a collaboration; it is a dialogue between two Italian excellences. We looked at Maserati’s distinctive design only once at the beginning, but we never intended to simply transpose an automotive form into a design piece. Instead, we allowed the essence of Maserati – its approach to luxury and performance – to settle and become part of our language. What emerged is not merely a branding exercise, but a collection that embodies a vision of elegance and innovation designed to stand the test of time,” explains Giancarlo Bosio, Giorgetti Creative Director.

The Giorgetti Maserati Edition collection is an epic journey between sea and sky, where Neptune’s trident inspires the names of the products. Each element in the collection references mythology and untamable nature, paying homage to Maserati’s iconography and the deep connection between winds and seas that have always inspired the brand’s automotive masterpieces. Each piece in the collection is a tribute to nymphs, ethereal and enchanting figures that leave a mark with their beauty, evoking stories of harmony and strength, just like the winds that define Maserati models.

Nereide, a symbol of wisdom and power, is a modular sofa resting on a solid ash wood platform, while Seidon, inspired by the sinuous lines of automobiles, unites form and function in an unexpected sofa, achieving a dynamic balance between the backrest and seat. The sculptural Lorelei armchair and sofa embrace those who sit in them with a seductive and comfortable hug, while the Teti pouf stands out for its elegance and refined geometric detail.

The Ligea coffee tables reinterpret the shapes of automotive air intakes with a dynamic and sophisticated design, while the Sibilia coffee table, with its vertical element, evokes the resonance of the wind.

Ploto is a coffee table that sails smoothly, following the flowing movement of the waves, with wheels that give it freedom of movement. Finally, Neomeris evokes the restlessness of the sea, always moved by the waves.

The Maserati Giorgetti Edition is an expression of “rolling tailoring”, celebrating elegance, Italian heritage, and passion for details. It is a Grecale Folgore full-electric one-off, created by the newly inaugurated Officine Fuoriserie workshops in Modena, completely dedicated to the most refined customization of Maserati cars, where technology meets artisanship.

This Grecale Giorgetti Edition has been conceived in a custom-made Gleaming Dusk bodycolor with color-matching inserts in the grill, and it features 21” wheels in Glossy Black with grey clearcoat finish, whereas brake calipers and the Fuoriserie logo are in copper color.

Its exclusive denim-colored leather interiors are conceived to pay tribute to Giorgetti and enhance the coziness of a home feeling, with seats crafted with an exclusive Giorgetti woolly 4-thread fabric (denim, white mélange, black, and copper), used in the Giorgetti Maserati Edition interior collection. The unmistakable Trident present on the denim Alcantara headrests is made, for the first time, in wood of a grey-blue nuance. Tunnel, dashboard, steering wheel and door panels are made with denim leather with stitched graphics. The stainless steel / wood door sills are laser-etched with ‘Due icone, una visione’ (Two icons, one vision) and ‘Eleganza senza tempo’ (Timeless elegance), adding a final romantic touch to this celebration of Italian excellence.

The Giorgetti interior collection and the Maserati Grecale one-off have been unveiled today, respectively at the Milanese Giorgetti Spiga showroom and at the Maserati Milan showroom, for a private preview for selected guests, while from tomorrow April 8 design-savvy visitors and car enthusiasts will be able to experience them up close and personal.

As cherry blossom season arrives, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars proudly presents the Phantom Cherry Blossom, a one-of-a-kind Phantom Extended inspired by the delicate beauty of Sakura. A Japanese client commissioned this masterpiece to preserve cherished Hanami memories and pass down a legacy to future generations.

Cherry blossoms symbolize nature’s rhythms, the arrival of spring, and the beauty of impermanence. Lasting only about a week, these blooms remind us to embrace the present. This symbolism is deeply rooted in Japanese art, literature, and philosophy. Hanami, or “flower viewing,” is a centuries-old tradition where families and friends gather beneath cherry trees to celebrate the season’s fleeting beauty.

Phantom Cherry Blossom: A Bespoke Vision Realized

The journey to create this exceptional Phantom began three years ago when Rolls-Royce artisans met with the client in Japan to fully understand their vision. The result is a breathtaking expression of Bespoke craftsmanship, reflecting both the client’s personal ambition and the unparalleled skill of Rolls-Royce’s artisans. Now delivered to its proud owner, this unique commission embodies their individuality and passion.

A Floral Sanctuary: 250,000 Stitches of Exquisite Embroidery

Inside, intricate embroidery captures the sensation of sitting beneath a blooming cherry tree. A bespoke Starlight Headliner showcases an embroidered cherry branch adorned with delicate white blossoms. The embroidery extends across the rear door panels and the Privacy Suite partition, requiring over six months of meticulous work. The headliner alone took three weeks to complete, featuring more than 250,000 stitches.

Light interacts with the embroidery to highlight its depth and complexity. The rich texture of the embroidered cherry tree is achieved using an offset tatami stitch, inspired by ancient Japanese weaving techniques. The branches intertwine seamlessly, meticulously aligned by a single artisan to create a continuous flowing design.

Rolls-Royce First: Sculptural 3D Embroidery

For the first time, Rolls-Royce incorporates three-dimensional embroidery, adding a tactile, sculptural effect to the interior. Specialists developed a new technique where thread layers form self-supporting structures. Each petal is shaped by hand and stitched into place to enhance the interior lighting and create soft shadows.

An Elegant Bespoke Statement

Continuing the Hanami theme, the Bespoke umbrellas inside the doors feature a falling petal motif. The exterior, finished in Crystal over Arctic White, includes a hand-painted Coachline tapering at the rear passenger door, adorned with a delicate cherry blossom motif—an elegant preview of the artistry within.

This makes Black Badge Spectre the most powerful Rolls-Royce in history.

Black Badge clients are unique within Rolls-Royce. These rule-breakers built success by fearlessly rejecting conventions and committing to a vision that is entirely their own.

The decision to craft such a powerful motor car was driven by the expectations of the marque’s Black Badge clients. Their rigorous demands required a formidable engineering response, built on Rolls-Royce’s profound understanding of what a Black Badge should be: effortlessly intense, immediate, and precise.

HARNESSING FORMIDABLE POWER

To ensure this philosophy accurately reflected how clients use their motor cars in the field, a group of Rolls-Royce owners granted engineers access to their anonymized driving data, allowing drivetrain specialists to quantitatively analyze their driving behavior across hundreds of thousands of collective miles. This revealed that clients exploited maximum power in short pulses more than over extended periods. This insight provided powerful validation of the marque’s approach, perfectly matching the dramatic, intense character of the most powerful Rolls-Royce ever created—meticulously developed in the image of this bold client group.

For Black Badge Spectre, the concept of formidable bursts of power is taken to an extreme with two powertrain innovations.

The first innovation is a unique Infinity Mode, a tribute to the infinity symbol used to signify a Black Badge Rolls-Royce. Unlocked by pressing the Infinity ∞ button on the steering wheel, the full 659 hp of power is made available, providing a more direct throttle response to the driver. Once this mode is activated, the dials become more vibrant to match the change in the motor car’s character.

The second innovation is the Spirited Mode. This allows the driver to experience a burst of intense, instantaneous acceleration. The driver engages this function by fully depressing the brake and throttle at the same time, waiting for a haptic and visual response signaling the car is ready, before fully releasing the brake. This temporarily amplifies the torque output to 792 lb-ft, unleashing a surge of force and propelling the motor car from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

These new power features have historical precedent. In aircraft powered by the legendary Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, including the Supermarine Spitfire, pilots could obtain a burst of power by pushing a switch on the throttle quadrant. Pilots were required to report the use of this function on landing as a precaution to flight engineers — this requirement does not apply to Black Badge Spectre drivers today.

CHASSIS ENGINEERING

Rolls-Royce chassis specialists have introduced changes to inspire clients to wield the unprecedented power of Black Badge Spectre with confidence.

The steering weight is increased.
The roll stabilization is adjusted to create more feedback from steering inputs and reduce body-roll during cornering.
Enhanced dampers also increase body control, reducing ‘squatting’ in acceleration or deceleration.

These revisions perfectly balance an enhanced sense of engagement with the effortless operation and famed Magic Carpet Ride associated with Rolls-Royce motor cars.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Announces Major Investment

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars confirmed its investment of more than $370 million (£300 million) to expand its sole manufacturing facility at Goodwood in England. This move is the next step in the company’s strategic focus on creating value for clients through the most complex, personal, and valuable handcrafted luxury products and delivering an unparalleled client experience. The company’s global performance in 2024, a landmark year for Bespoke and the third-best sales record in its history, confirms the success of this strategy.

This expansion will allow Rolls-Royce to enhance the value of commissions for clients by creating additional space for the increasingly complex and high-value Bespoke and Coachbuild projects. It will also prepare the manufacturing facility for the brand’s transition to an all-battery electric vehicle (BEV) future.

This investment represents the largest capital injection ($100 million) since the plant opened on January 1, 2003. At that time, it employed about 300 people and produced just one motor car per day. While the plant has undergone significant internal upgrades over the past 20 years, the building and footprint remain largely unchanged. The staff numbers have grown more to more than 2,500 people, and Goodwood now produces about 25 motor cars per day.

A Record Year for Bespoke

In 2024, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective of specialist designers, engineers, and craftspeople undertook some of their most creatively daring and technically challenging commissions. These projects featured innovative materials, craft techniques, and features never seen before on a Rolls-Royce motor car, resulting in unique, emotionally resonant masterpieces that reflect the commissioning clients’ interests and personalities.

Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke offering reached record levels in 2024, with Bespoke content increasing by 10% per commission year-over-year, the highest in the company’s history.

An Unmatched Client Experience

Rolls-Royce’s commitment to Bespoke is reflected in its Private Offices. In 2024, the of VIP spaces expanded to New York and Seoul, joining locations in Dubai and Shanghai. Inspired by the original Private Office in Goodwood, these creative hubs are available by invitation and designed to inspire creativity and close collaboration between clients, their dealer advisor, and a dedicated local designer. Clients highly value this unique experience, with Private Office commissions typically 25% higher in value than the starting suggested retail price.

Rolls-Royce’s dealer partners worldwide continued investing in the brand’s updated visual identity and showroom concept, offering a social, creatively engaging environment where clients can relax and find inspiration for their bespoke commissions.

The Rolls-Royce invitation-only members’ app, Whispers, grew by 55% in 2024. This exclusive digital club allows clients to access and manage their Rolls-Royce motor cars, network with other clients, and gain exclusive insights about the marque and the luxury world. Whispers also facilitate direct contact among Rolls-Royce owners and their contacts at their dealers and inside Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.

Globally Balanced Sales Picture

In 2024, Rolls-Royce introduced a record four models: Cullinan Series II and Ghost Series II, along with their Black Badge variants. These launches, coupled with sustained demand for all Rolls-Royce products, resulted in global sales of 5,712 in 2024—the third best year ever and in line with the brand’s expectations.

2024 also marked the first full year of sales for Rolls-Royce Spectre. Clients have confirmed that Spectre’s electric drivetrain is perfectly suited to Rolls-Royce, enhancing the brand’s renowned attributes: silence, ‘waftability,’ and the unique ‘magic-carpet ride’ experience. Spectre’s market arrival worldwide confirmed the successful launch of this innovative motor car.

The most requested models in 2024 were Cullinan, Spectre, and Ghost, with Phantom, the flagship model, retaining its status as the ultimate and rarest Rolls-Royce. Phantom will celebrate its centenary in 2025.

In 2024, North America was once again Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ largest sales region, representing around one-third of commissions delivered. North America performance was driven by demand in southern markets, especially Florida. North America saw a significant increase in the average Bespoke value of each commission with several of the most complex commissions ever being delivered in the past year.

Introducing an unmistakable, unexpected, and dramatic physical manifestation of Jaguar, as the brand continues its transformation. Type 00 (pronounced Type Zero Zero) embodies the Jaguar brand’s creative philosophy of Exuberant Modernism following the debut of its new brand identity.

The world premiere of the design vision concept at Miami Art Week – as South Florida becomes the center of the art world for six-days – previews what’s to come from Jaguar, as the brand recaptures the original ‘Copy Nothing’ ethos of its founder, Sir William Lyons.

World premiere: Type 00

Introducing Type 00. The physical manifestation of the Jaguar brand’s new creative philosophy – Exuberant Modernism.

The ‘Type’ prefix is a link to the brand’s provenance, to models like the pioneering E-Type vehicle. The first zero references zero tailpipe emissions. The second represents its status as car zero in our new lineage. Its visionary design defies electric vehicle convention with a long hood, sweeping roofline, 23-inch alloy wheels, fastback profile and boat-tail to create a dramatic silhouette with sophisticated, modernist surfaces. This design was enabled by our unique and dedicated architecture (JEA)(Jaguar Electrical Architecture).

A Special Series of the Brand’s Icon Created to Celebrate 110 Years of Italian luxury

Honoring 110 years of performance, design, craftsmanship, uniqueness, and technology, Maserati celebrates a major milestone with the launch of a special series of an iconic model from the House of the Trident: “GranTurismo 110 ANNIVERSARIO.” The Maserati GranTurismo is so much more than a car – it is an icon and a lifestyle that perfectly embodies the Brand’s spirit.

This model combines sporty performance with comfort suitable for long distances and luxury travel, representing the Brand’s future with Maserati’s 100% electric Folgore powertrain. The GranTurismo Folgore will become a leading light with the “110 ANNIVERSARIO” special series version – a limited edition model available in the same number of units as the years the House of the Trident has graced the track and road. It symbolizes the bridge between the brand’s past, present, and future. Heritage and innovation come together to create exclusive content made possible by Maserati’s Fuoriserie Customization Program.

This limited series is available in two configurations comprised of 55 models each: the first in Rame Folgore and the second in the exclusive Blu Inchiostro, both with dedicated finishes, special rims with “black and copper” details, and interiors in denim or black Econyl with stitching in copper or blue.The true standout of this limited series is its logo, created exclusively for the anniversary: the Trident, followed by the numerals “110” at a special tilt, is located on the C-pillar and represents the Brand’s dynamism and capacity for innovation in its 110-year history.The same logo will be placed on another car of great importance for Maserati: the Tipo Folgore electric single-seater, due to take part in the first race of Season 11 of the top all-electric series, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, in São Paulo, Brazil on December 7.

The single-seater will take to the track with the new blue and rose gold livery, embellished with the 110 tribute logo beside the cockpit. “GranTurismo 110 ANNIVERSARIO” will make its debut on the road as part of the exclusive Trident Experience Program, a two-day event designed by Maserati to celebrate this major anniversary together with its esteemed guests and most passionate customers.

The limited series, in both the Rame Folgore and Blu Inchiostro configurations, will be the star on Saturday, November 30 at the opening of the celebrations, with an unveiling at the showroom on Viale Ciro Menotti, where participants will be immersed in the Brand’s history and modern identity.The mission at Maserati is to write the future of mobility in the luxury segment, focusing on its customers’ requests.

It is a mission that still continues even 110 years after its founding through the “GranTurismo 110 ANNIVERSARIO” special series, igniting the Brand’s future and once again bringing Italian luxury to the world.

GRAMMY® Award-winning, Oscar nominated, Lagos, Nigeria-based singer, songwriter, and producer Tems releases a new vibrant and sultry music video for “Turn Me Up” from her debut studio album Born In The Wild. Born In The Wild has earned over 614M streams worldwide to date and debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart, while 13 tracks from the album notably debuted on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart. Jaguar releases a tease image of its dramatic new creative philosophy – Exuberant Modernism, that will inspire future vehicles.

The image of the rear detail, provides a glimpse into the brands design vision that will showcase bold forms and exuberant proportions.

Jaguar will globally reveal its Design Vision Concept at one of the world’s premier art festivals, Miami Art Week, on 2nd December 2024. With a presence in two locations, Jaguar will create meticulously curated gallery spaces and work with diverse emerging artists that share the Copy Nothing ethos of its founder, Sir William Lyons.

This ethos can trace its roots back to 1935 and is built on embracing unexpected and original thinking and a brand character that commands attention through fearless creativity.
