Today, Tate releases her irresistible new song “Sports car” alongside the official music video. It’s written and produced with hitmakers Ryan Tedder (Taylor Swift, Beyoncé), Grant Boutin (Meghan Trainor, One Republic), and Julia Michaels (Selena Gomez, Dua Lipa).

The provocative video is directed by Bardia Zeinali (Sabrina Carpenter, Troye Sivan) and styled by Brett Alan Nelson (Doja Cat, Karol G). It follows Tate as a viewer into her own dynamic world intertwined with high fashion moments and different characters. In a society that is constantly watching and judging, Tate becomes the observer and takes back control. Through her perspective, we are immersed in a powerful interplay of style and identity, where fashion becomes more than just clothing— it’s the canvas for her evolving identity. “Sports car” follows “2 hands” and “It’s ok I’m ok” which hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Pop Songs chart and earned the star her highest-debuting song of her career on the Billboard Hot 100. 

In March, Tate will embark on her world ‘Miss Possessive Tour’ spanning South America, Europe, UK, and North America. Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off on March 18 in Mexico City at Pepsi Centre, with shows in São Paulo, London, Amsterdam, Prague, New York, Nashville, and many more before wrapping up in Los Angeles at the Kia Forum on September 26. Benee will be joining as support on all Europe and UK dates while Zara Larsson will join Tate across all US and Canada dates.

Today, we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., whose fight for justice, equality, and economic empowerment reshaped our nation. Few cities embody the Civil Rights Movement as profoundly as Birmingham, Alabama—a city where Dr. King’s courage and vision ignited transformational change.

In 1963, Dr. King led the Birmingham Campaign, a series of nonviolent protests against segregation, culminating in mass demonstrations that drew national attention to the injustices Black Americans faced. During his imprisonment that same year, he penned the historic Letter from Birmingham Jail, a powerful call to action that still resonates today:

“We will reach the goal of freedom in Birmingham and all over the nation, because the goal of America is freedom.”

Dubai Fashion Week Showcase

Dubai Fashion Week (DFW), the city’s official fashion showcase, is expanding its global imprint and influence with designers representing new territories, making their debut in the Autumn/Winter 2025-26 calendar. Cementing DFW as the region’s premier fashion event, the line-up for the upcoming season expands and strengthens international collaborations and talent representation, solidifying Dubai’s reputation as a global fashion capital.

The event returns to Dubai Design District (d3) from 1 to 6 February, preceding Paris, Milan, New York, and London Fashion Weeks to lead the international fashion season. It will offer designers, buyers, fashion influencers, and the public access to a dynamic calendar of runway shows, activations, and citywide events.  

Co-founded by d3, part of TECOM Group PJSC, and the Arab Fashion Council, DFW Autumn/Winter 2025-26 will present shows from more than 25 renowned and emerging designers from countries including France, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Russia, Turkey and UAE. 

Celebrated couture brand Paolo Sebastian also represents the first Australian fashion house to showcase at DFW. 

“Steadfast demand for luxury fashion – defying global market trends – and diversity in craftsmanship and creativity continue to cement the Middle East as the new growth hub for design talent,” said Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of Dubai Design District (d3) part of TECOM Group. “The Autumn/Winter 2025-26 programme is evidence of the powerful platform DFW offers designers and retailers to engage new markets and business opportunities, benefitting from an unmatched vision for excellence, support and diversity that speaks to the appetite of audiences worldwide. The event will deliver on its definitive innovation and unique diversity that position Dubai as the global hub for fashion and creativity.”

With the launch of the Buyer’s Programme for Dubai Fashion Week 2025, in partnership with the Arab Fashion Council and d3, we are taking bold steps to connect emerging talent with global markets, further cementing Dubai’s role as a transformative force in the fashion world.”  

With the selection committee broadening its reach, DFW continues to evolve this edition. Now presenting a fashion house from Australia alongside talents from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa, the platform further diversifies its spectrum of designers and territories, reflecting Dubai’s multicultural and global nature. The committee has meticulously curated a line-up that celebrates creativity across borders and continents, fostering a platform where diverse cultures converge to shape and inspire the future of fashion. 

A global programme shaping the future of fashion  Highlights for the upcoming edition include DFW Members BLSSD, Dima Ayad, Lama Jouni, Michael Cinco, Weinsanto and Mrs Keepa. Istanbul-based luxury streetwear brand Les Benjamins joins as the debut Correspondent Member. Marking his DFW debut with a closing showcase on 6 February is Indian couture designer to the stars Manish Malhotra, whose iconic designs have elevated countless Bollywood films.  

Choice and modest fashion leader RIVA will celebrate the diversity of modern designs. Meanwhile, Morocco-inspired designer Molato will champion eco-conscious fashion, underscoring DFW’s commitment to highlighting sustainable and innovative fashion labels. SAIJAMIN and Viva Vox will showcase their signature bold styles alongside Angelo Estera’s intricate collections and Antoine Kareh’s architectural creations. Audiences can expect Manel’s distinctive cultural richness, complemented by Paolo Sebastian’s romantic couture. 
NIF Global London School of Trends will leverage its platform to highlight fresh, emerging talent, continuing DFW’s legacy of elevating up-and-coming talent before global stakeholders. Velvety Couture’s refined elegance and Zeena Zaki’s artistic flair further elevate the collection, ensuring a diverse and globally inspired fashion experience. Also joining DFW for the first time is New York-based British-Iraqi designer designer Tara Babylon, best known for her avant-garde evening wear.   
Beyond the runway program, DFW will include an invite-only event with THAT Concept and Etoile Boutique. Instagram will kick off fashion week with the Instagram DFW Party and carry forward the momentum of the impactful Round Table initiative from previous editions. 

An expanding community of global buyers  

The DFW International Buyer’s Program marks continuous growth in the upcoming edition. Distinguished retailers from global hubs such as the USA, Italy, the UK, and Germany join DFW’s dynamic retail community, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a hub for fashion excellence, innovation and opportunity.  

Amplifying the city’s presence on global fashion buying circuits, the Buyer’s Program offers designers a gateway to showcase their collections to buyers with access to vital fashion markets while creating exclusive sourcing opportunities. It provides a valuable channel for DFW participants to nurture valuable connections with fashion leaders worldwide and expand their global growth story through Dubai.  

The Buyer’s Program, alongside the runway shows, will take place at d3 from 3 to 5 February.

Kodak Black – Trill Bill

Today, less than a month after his last mixtape, multi-platinum rapper Kodak Black drops yet another full-length project, Trill Bill — listen HERE now via Vulture Love / Capitol Records. The charismatic Pompano Beach star continues to interrogate his psyche, his peers, and his place in a broken system on an 11-song set that includes features from Taylor So Made and TTO K.T.. Trill Bill comes complete with a visual for the track “News Matt” which includes footage from Kodak’s appearance on Million Dollaz Worth Of Game. Watch the video HERE.

Kodak also continued a Thanksgiving tradition with Kodak’s Turkey Drive this past weekend. He and his Vulture Love label’s artists visited four locations around Florida — in Delray Beach, Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Miami. Kodak gave out 1,800 turkeys in honor of the 1800 block that he grew up on. Watch HERE.

Trill Bill follows the November 1 release of Kodak’s Dieuson Octave mixtape (led by the single “Catch Fire”), a haunted, inward-looking project titled after the artist’s actual birth name. But Kodak legally changed his name to Bill Kapri a few years back, and Trill Bill captures the multifaceted man from a different angle — frequently the “fly, fresh, and foolish” side of him, as he raps on “Cyber Truck.”

“Dirty Revolver” taps into that wild energy, but also Kodak’s incredible gift for improvising catchy melodies and unexpected rhythms as he traverses the track, not to mention his ability to set a scene right off the bat: “F— the rain, i’m in the Chevrolet impala with duct tape around a dirty ass revolver.” 

Songs like “Cherish the Moment,” “Mayhem,” and “Escalade” with Taylor So Made lean into darkness and indulgence as Kodak uses his blues-soaked delivery to bring details and emotions to life — voice cracking or slurring, bouncing over a stray beat or dropping to an eerie whisper. On “Land in Hell” he lays out a harrowing narrative of betrayal and retribution, sounding weary over heavy keys, bass, and drums.

But like every Kodak release, Trill Bill paints a complex portrait. On “Heartfelt,” over soulful keys, he acknowledges the risks of living life on the edge. A song later, “One Piece Left,” he makes a promise to someone he loves: “Tonight’s my last night on Percocets and acting wild / Been looking everywhere but you was right here all the while / … / I got one more piece of my heart left, and I been saving it for you.”

Trill Bill and Dieuson Octave are Kodak’s first solo full-lengths since 2023’s When I Was Dead, in which he explores both his nightmares and his aspirations. Featuring the smash hit “Lemme See,” the set only reaffirmed Kodak’s status as one of the most gifted of his generation. More recently, he dropped the hard-hitting “Hit Stick,” preceded by introspective cuts “Dis Time,” “Stressed Out,” and “Non Believer” — plus “Shampoo,” a confident burst of street rap in the style that made him a superstar.

What’s more, Kodak kickstarted the summer with his record label Vulture Love’s first official project, Vulture Love Presents: The Last Zombies on Earth, featuring contributions from VVSNCE, Lil Crix, G6reddot, GorditoFlo, Big Fredo, Jay Dirty, Taji Akeil, and more. Listen HERE. Beyond generating millions of streams, it received tastemaker acclaim. XXL and The Source plugged it, and HotNewHipHop praised, “where this debut album succeeds is giving these up-and-coming artists a great platform to make their voices hard.” He then later followed up the compilation with a sold-out show at Los Angeles’ NOVO. 

Kodak’s expansive vision and status transcend rap. Over the years, he’s cultivated the role of a prophetic storyteller and resonant channeller of the culture, and his reach continues to grow. Iran’s Youth

Demand a Non-Nuclear, Secular Republic to End the Reign of Terror

In Iran today, a powerful movement is sweeping through the nation’s youth—who make up more than half of the population—demanding profound change. They envision a non-nuclear, secular republic where their voices, choices, and rights are finally respected. Disillusioned by decades of repression, economic hardship, and isolation, young Iranians are now standing defiantly against the clerical regime, widely referred to as the “head of the snake” in the turbulent Middle East. The recent surge in executions, meticulously documented by human rights experts, appears to be Tehran’s latest tactic to instill fear amidst rising unrest. Yet this strategy reveals the regime’s desperation to cling to control over a society increasingly united in its desire for regime change. 

Organizing in groups known as Resistance Units Iranian youth are mobilizing with determination to dismantle a system they believe has robbed them of a future and destabilized the region. Their call for freedom, dignity, and self-determination is not about mere reforms; it is about uprooting a regime that has long failed its people. They dream of an Iran free from clerical rule and free from any potential return to a monarchy. Hyper-connected through technology and social media, this generation is keenly aware of the rights and freedoms enjoyed in other nations. They recognize Iran’s potential to prosper economically and engage peacefully with the world rather than remain isolated by nuclear ambitions and repressive policies. 

At the core of their vision is a future, where resources fuel education, innovation, and economic welfare, instead of executions, warfare, and terrorism. For these young Iranians, ending the regime’s nuclear pursuits and oppressive tactics is essential to achieving true freedom and joining the global community. 

In recent months alone, the Iranian regime under the leadership of its supreme leader and its new so-called “reformist” president, has executed over 200 people, including many women—a barbaric attempt to silence dissent. To put an end to this brutality, Iran’s Resistance Units are rallying for a new era, one free from clerical rule and military threats. Their vision of a non-nuclear, secular republic embodies a hope for a future rooted in human rights and democratic freedoms. Now, more than ever, the world must heed their call and support their struggle to end Tehran’s oppressive reign and usher in a new era of Iran, an Iran which is a model country that is as beneficial to the world as it is to its people.

Billie Talks About 90s Inspiration, Challenges Filming and Spitting Out Food All Day

Billie Eilish partners with Vevo for a new installment of Footnotes, taking viewers behind the scenes of the lead single “Lunch” from her third studio album Hit Me Hard and Soft.

Billie describes the “Lunch” music video as a nostalgic tribute to the 90s music videos she grew up watching, inspired by icons like Biggie, Tupac and the Spice Girls. Aiming for simplicity, she explains that she focused on her performance and on giving the video a vintage feel, as if it were shot on an older camera. She says the most challenging part was having to eat so much food, describing how she would take bites and then have to spit them out after being full from actually eating everything at the start of the shoot. Billie reveals that longtime choreographer Matty Peacock came up with the dance in the video after first hearing the song. She also shares that she created the hook first, but needed time to sit with the song before she was able to finish it.

Billie also discusses how she and her producer, Finneas, were very experimental with sounds for the new album. She explains that Finneas would find cool things online that inspired them and that the album would be very different had they not used sounds from all the “weird little toys.” Finally, she adds that directing videos is a lot harder than it seems, but it’s something she’s been passionate about since she was younger. She describes her director of photography, Rob Witt, as amazing, so collaborative, and everything she could want in a DP.

Filmed at the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York City and featuring some of Hollywood’s most renowned actors and musicians including America Ferrera, Common, Bill Hader, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, this latest installment of Quest for Craft explores the distinct themes each individual has faced in their pursuit of craftsmanship including uncertainty, self reflection, authenticity and persistence.

The episodes, which are available exclusively on The Balvenie’s YouTube channel, are beginning to roll out now.

HULKETTE MAKES HER SMASHING DEBUT IN SPIDER-BOY #13!

Now, Dan Slott and Paco Medina deliver Hulkette’s first appearance in SPIDER-BOY #13. After an intense showdown with the titular breakout hero, future issues of Spider-Boy will reveal Hulkette’s mysterious origin and the full extent of her mighty strength!  In addition to SPIDER-BOY, fans can also look forward to seeing Hulkette in the upcoming New Champions ongoing series, which stars her fellow newly created teen heroes as they change the Marvel Universe as we know it!
