I've been an AppSumo member for several years and came to Trustpilot to write a review after another good experience. I read many of the negative 1 star reviews. There were a few themes present. One was lack of refunds/support. One reviewer stated "AppSumo was unhelpful and said there was nothing they could do—no refund, no compensation." That has never been the case with me. One of their companies went out of business about a year after I purchased a lifetime deal for the services. AppSumo provided a partial refund of the purchase price without question. More recently, I tried to log into an account for another service that I had purchased lifetime access two years ago. The company didn't have any record of my account or my purchase. AppSumo customer service took care of the issue within an hour. Regarding refunds to credit cards versus AppSumo credits, I just tried to initiate a refund to my credit card on a deal I purchased and there were no issues refunding it to my card. Literally would have taken three mouse clicks. The only caveat was that the refund would take 5-10 days to show up on the account whereas getting AppSumo credits was instantaneous. Other reviews reported that products they purchased ceased to function or were discontinued shortly after purchase. My take on this is that AppSumo deals are kind of like purchasing stock in a company. If a company goes out of business and the stocks you purchased lose value or become worthless, you don't blame the stock market, you blame the company. AppSumo members risk comparatively small amounts of money by investing with early stage SAAS companies to get the benefit of the services the companies provide. If the companies do well and flourish, you got a great deal. If the companies go out of business, you lose your investment. Even if you invest in a month-to-month plan with a mature product at a much higher cost, there is no guarantee that the product will remain on the market. AppSumo customers should understand this point before they purchase. I've lost money a few times when AppSumo partners went out of business - in one case several hundred dollars. Of course I'm not happy about it, but I also don't blame AppSumo. On the other hand, I've also received low-cost lifetime access to many now mature products that currently cost hundreds of dollars per month for a subscription. And after several interactions with AppSumo support, I've been repeatedly impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism. One suggestion for improvement: create a link which, when clicked, activates a purchased product and records that the product has been activated so there are no issues about whether a product has been activated if it is not immediately used.

I was seeking loan options and all of a sudden the adds and offers started up and wouldn't stop. I was like rapid fire activity. I was warned by Google that if I didn't protect my devices all of my accounts would be shut down, so I shut them down myself and thought this out before I turned them back on. It took me 5 minutes to swipe the popups away, and ten minutes later, no more spam ads and notifications. Goodbye irritating sponsored loan ads!

I can say I have noticed less, if not no spam calls from telemarketers after starting my sweep with Incogni. I'm really happy with that and I'm eager to see how much more they can do to eliminating my personal data from malicious sites.

Cant believe it free! I did have to uninstall and reinstall again a few times since whenever i tried turning off the ad blocker,it would be stuck loading with a blurred screen. Probably my fault for having it on for sooo long haha. No complaints here tho :)
