Damaged product, poor quality. Customer service made offerings that were insignificant and required buyer to spend more money without accepting responsibility for the product. Will never purchase again.

company should have a disclaimer or alert letting cutomers know that the shade will take a few weeks to arrive from the order date.

If you like extremely limited designer availability, a non-functioning website, pressure to purchase before you’re comfortable with the specifications, AI call bots, and customer service that treats reasonable questions as a nuisance, then CityShade is the place for you.

After two brief (~15-min) consultations for a very complex project, I was thrilled about the proposed solution. However, I was ultimately sent a cart with incorrect measurements by Melani (mind you, you WILL need someone to build your cart for you because they have a non-functioning website and limited customization options that require a designer’s assistance to add). I was then told that I needed to purchase before midnight on a day that my designer, Melani, would be out of office. She reassured me that she could modify the order upon her return to our agreed-upon specs before it was sent to production. Reluctantly, I placed a very expensive, incorrectly measured order within the “deadline” and trusted Melani’s word that it could be modified. When she returned to the office, I noticed another 6” discrepancy on a key measurement within a very narrow workable wall space, and I sought clarity. My order was then CANCELED—unprompted, unreasonably, and without notice.

Multiple follow-up emails and phone calls seeking to reinstate the order went unanswered. I was accused of seeking precision down to fractions of an inch, when in actuality I was seeking clarity over a 6”+ discrepancy within a very narrow workable wall space. Attempted follow-up emails and calls to get the order clarified and ultimately reinstated went ignored.

I finally attempted to schedule another brief (~5 min) consult within Melani’s very limited window of availability, which was about one week out, and I was left on zoom waiting for over an hour with no reschedule, apology or follow up. I even called a live person and mentioned I had been waiting for over an hour, and she honestly sounded like she couldn’t care less. No one joined the call or followed up with me since.

Most of my calls attempting to resolve this issue over the past month were answered by AI. Those that weren’t, promised to deliver an “urgent message” and/or a callback and never delivered. After 4+ weeks of trying to coordinate with these people, I have given up. I have no idea why they would treat a prospective customer willing to spend thousands with such complete disrespect and disregard. Very disappointing experience, especially given the premium pricing.

I needed a wide and deep valance for my back door slider, and CityShade offered the depth I needed. Their fabric choices were good. The designs are stylish. The quality is good, and the price is comparable. I'm very happy with how my valance turned out. It was easy to install with the directions. It didn't take long at all for them to make and ship my custom product. I'd definitely order from them again.

It was an easy process. I ordered the samples and used the website to order the cornices. They arrived exactly as I ordered and they are beautiful.

I've researched so many online shade companies and actually have ordered some shades from them as well. NOT ONE other company compares to CITY SHADE. I will never use any other company other than CITY SHADE. every other company has thin materials and sustandard hardware. CITY SHADE FOR THE WIN!

I have used Cityshade on my home (zebra blinds) my daughter's place,(zebra blinds) and my mother's house, (double cell/up-down bottom up). I just love the quality of the product and how easy they are to install. Custom window treatments for 1/4 of the price!

There was a component missing from my order. When I called them they fixed it immediately.

The roller shade is very nice, operates well, and fits perfectly. However, the top of the room darkening shade has a gap which allows the light to shine in. A valance should be provided to cover the gap.

Exceptional product! City Shades offers many choices and have a quick turnaround.

Customer service was always prompt and helpful in working out solutions and I give them a 4 star. The quality of the roman shades we purchased is a 2 star. After everything said and done, we cut our losses and lost $700 and will be sure to purchase high end in the future.
We chose Cityshade because the price was right but we were very disappointed in the quality of make and look. As a roman shade owner for 20 plus years, you can't go cheap.
The website does not make it clear that the very top of the roman shade that secures to the window frame is white metal, not a material cover or valance. This gives it a very cheap look. I contacted Cityshade regarding this matter and they sent me strips of material that were the same as the shade for me to glue onto the white metal. I was hoping to return the shades as we didn't like them but there are no returns. READ THEIR POLICIES!
The pull cord is not nylon but balled chains on each side of the shades. It is noisy pulling the chains up or down and not long after install, one of the shades would no longer go all the way up or down and I would have to pull hard to get it move with a terrible noise and it would go sideways.
So, I sent a letter with a video to Cityshade and they were quick to respond and said they would give a replacement once they received my broken shade. Well, that meant more money on a product we don't like and a sheet would go in the window while we waited for the new one to arrive. This is when we decided to take a loss.
Our previous roman shade had one nylon cord that was secured to the window trim. It was smooth, quiet and lasted over 20yrs in AZ windows.
I do think that Cityshade is a good company and has great customer service and sales. It's just not what we had in mind and I'm willing to say that it could be what we ordered.

The customer was great as they replied fast to e-mail questions and the quality matched what was stated on the website.

The shade I ordered was made and delivered without the "blackout" feature that I needed. As soon as I called CityShade to explain, Jill had me photograph the shade and immediately process a replacement. The process was fast, and everything turned out perfectly! Thank you!!

The response times were super fast. Jill was diligent in getting answers to my questions. I had an issue due to the shipper mishandling my shade, and City Shade resolved quickly.

The ordering process was very easy. I love the samples I received and the product was easy to install. One thing that was difficult for me as a homeowner was the options given for the roller shades. Product pictures of the different valances and the blackout would have been helpful.
