Helcim has the best pricing by far

Helcim has the best pricing by far for credit card processing. They're very reasonable, especially if you're only an occasional user of credit cards, since there is no monthly fee. I think we've been using them about a year, and I've never had a problem with any transaction. Whenever I've contacted them, they reply right away. Super friendly and helpful!

Excellent Company All-Around

We have used Helcim for a few years now, and I absolutely love it! The customer service is excellent! If I ever have an issue, it is resolved very quickly with kind, professional, and very knowledgeable staff. They really make the experience easy. The dashboard and ease of use is the best I have seen. I used to have issues with other companies when running cards, seeing deposits, or issuing credits, and with Helcim, it is so simple and easy to use.

AJ’s been a great help setting me up with my payment system. It’s definitely a big factor in my choice to go with a company that’s supportive and diligent in their communication with clients like me who owns a small business and taking on a lot of solo projects!

Great Customer Satisfaction

Company showcases great product and features that are very attractive to my business. They seem to understand my usecase very well and even gave tips on how to utilize the app the best way possible. Fee Saver mode is also such a huge saving grace for my small business

Initial Hiccups Solved By Customer Service

Morgan L. specifically is such an exceptional customer service representative. We had some initial issues, as Helcim denoted our bank account incorrectly, thus preventing payments from transferring correctly. But Morgan (and Joey as well!) were able to correct the error and ensure that our Helcim account was working perfectly. We now have no issues with our account and are really enjoying the switch away from Square!

Great option for SMB

Helcim has been a great option for my business.

I am able to process CC & Debit cards with competitive fees. Their equipment was actually easier to setup and use than a competitor (M******), and uses USB-C to charge!

I did experience one speed bump with a customer who's card was declined/questioned, but I shared the relevant documentation with their (Helcim's) security team, and it was processed within 24 hours.

Overall I am extremely satisfied to have a payment processing solution that does not carry a monthly fee.

Absolute worst experience

Absolute worst experience - stay away.

We tried setting up merchant processing with them, gave them everything they asked for and then they denied us without any reason whatsoever.

Save your time - go elsewhere!!!

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !
our machine is brand new thinking we were going to a better machine but that is not the case
cannot run any credit cards through the stip, barely can tap the chip always have to restart the machine multiple times per day - call customer service many times and no resolution - always say they will call back to fix it but they rarely do ! to much to write with this review but i can go on and on and on !!!

Ana worked tirelessly to get my…

Ana worked tirelessly to get my inventory converted and imported in the system. Everything was fighting us but she never threw in the towel. Very pleased with the customer service and the system as a whole.

The worst company ever

The worst company ever. We did all the process, and after proceed with the clients payment, they just closed our account and now we can't have the payments. Totally loss. Not trustworthy, poor customer service. Beware.

This reply is totally incompatible with the reality. Absolutely, no excuses for incompetency. By the way, we are working with Square and we are amazed with their customer service and professionalism. Highly Recommend!

I have a Nonprofit and searched in…

I have a Nonprofit and searched in looking for a company that wouldn't take advantage. After my research and read many reviews I didn't hesitate and joined. I have no regrets. The Customer Service Agents, when I had a question or two to ask, were very patient, friendly and well informed. Thanks for all you do for my nonprofit organization and me!

Working with Helcim has been great!

I have had a great experience processing our credit card transactions with Helcim. The software is easy to use, transactions are completed quickly and the fees are must less than our previous provider. The Helcim team has also been quick to answer any questions or problems I have encountered.

Helcim is absolutely ridiculous

Helcim is absolutely ridiculous. We are a brand new company and we processed some payments for our customers (we are a book keeping company).

Helcim wants to know what the charges were for so I sent them invoice and all information. They took several days before emailing me and said, can we call your customer.

What? Why the hell do they need to contact my customer on what they are spending their money on?

Stay away from them if you can.


Helcim did try to follow-up with me regarding the incident but with PST and also the holidays, it was really delayed. Finally was able to get through and everything works out just fine.

Horrible - STAY AWAY!!!

Horrible. The original rep Jocelyn that onboarded me was a pleasure. She was patient and good at explaining the tech. I was able to get set up and after my first two payments, I was told for a week that I’d receive the money into my account. Still nothing. Every evening this week around 8 pm, their rep Adora from “trust and safety” team will send me a message with another verification requirement, which I do. And then she doesn’t respond, until the next evening, with yet another hoop to jump thru. I’ve given all the info and confirmed all the emails and websites and addresses and phone numbers etc. Every morning when I call I am assured today will be the day the money comes thru to the account. Then today Adora says they need to speak to my client and can’t reach her even tho the number is correct. I call my client and sit on hold for 30 minutes until she can no longer stay on hold and has to hang up. And the trust and safety team finally calls me later and says my client needs to call the 800 number (not them directly because that would be too easy and make sense). Completely unprofessional. Can’t wait to complete this transaction and switch to 1shoppinngcart

Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. I refund a customer $2500 and they kept the fees of $67. They said I have to still pay the fees even after I refund the payment... never seen this in over 20 years, PayPal, stripe, square, merchant accounts, etc.

When a refund is processed, the original processing fees are not refunded to the merchant. This is an industry standard practice in the payment industry as once a transaction has settled the payment processing fees associated with that transaction are charged by the card brands and are not refunded to the processor. We do appreciate your insights on this matter, as we value ensuring our pricing and information is clear and transparent.

To avoid paying the transaction fees, we recommend running a void rather than a refund. Voids can be completed any time before the batch settles, and would mean that no processing fees are attributed. Setting up a new processing account…

Setting up a new processing account with Helcim has been a great experience. The online approval was easy and much faster than I have experienced in the past. I scheduled a setup call with AJ and he was amazing. I began processing right after the call. He has been very responsive to any questions I had after the call as well. Highly recommend Helcim.

A Very Good App

We run a family restaurant and setting up our products and pricing on the back end is very easy. We use the Smart Terminal which makes it a breeze serving our guests and the fees are fair.
It would be nice if there were more payment options available, for when or guests use gift cards and for food delivery services like DoorDash for tracking and reporting purposes.
The only drawback in my opinion, is when significant changes are made to the app it tends to be done during business hours and there have been times when functionality has been impacted.
