Grant Phillips was very helpful and answered my questions and concerns. He also got back to me in a very timely manner when I emailed or messaged me.
However, the most frustrating and disappointing part of the process was the appraisal. The appraiser had an attitude and although he tried to explain why my walk out basement wasn't totally included in my value, it still makes no sense when other , smaller houses for sale in my neighborhood are listed having more square feet? It brings down my true square feet of finished living space and therefore value? It also excluded a full bathroom! Why would anyone ever want to finish their basement if it doesn't add value on an appraisal? In fact ,my house appraised for much more 3 years ago when I did a full refinance. This is very disappointing and very frustrating!!! I still took the loan but it wasn't nearly what I wanted or needed?

Bree was fantastic from the beginning to the end. Even though we had some issues came up she was on top of it very nice about it and helpful and help us get to this end to The signing table. She was kind and pleasant throughout the whole process communication was great and she explained everything. Would definitely recommend her to any referrals we might have.

Hometap offers a different way to access your home equity. For retirees, you can access funds without any payments. That's good due to your fixed income. This may not be the least expensive access to your equity but, it's the most convenient. My representative was courteous and responded to my needs and questions quickly. They sent notary to our home for signing which was convenient.

Liked their customer service and follow through! One aspect that could use some improvement is underwriting have some kind of an outline about what would be needed up front. More than half way through it seemed they were coming up with new things to ask for, but it ultimately came together and we closed!
