Great service

It was my first time renting a car. I rented it via Trip.com and added Rentalcover insurance. After accidental damage to the car, I was super worried as I couldn't find the contact details of the insurance company. However, Trip.com customer service gave me reassurance in regards to the insurance company. It was a relief to receive constant follow-up emails from rentalcover.com regarding my claim. The claim process was easy and quick. After I submitted all the required documents, the assessment process took less than a week and I got a full refund. Super happy with the service.
Also, it would be great if there was customer service that we could talk to either via chat or phone call. It would have been more reassuring in the initial days.

Quick & Easy Claim

I had a rental with Sixt for which I got 3rd party insurance. During my rental period I had damage to the car from collision with a wild animal on the road (pretty common experience in Australia).
Rentalcover claim process was smoother than I could have ever expected. A simple form to upload all details/docs, the whole thing approved in under 10 days and instant credit into my account for the entire claim amount.
Highly recommended! I'm never using any other 3rd party insurance again.

Amazing service. I was delighted

Amazing service. I was looking for good insurance to cover my car rental, at a fair price, pretty far from the theft of the typical car rental offers, which costs more than the rental itself. I found this out and it seems too convenient but it had so great reviews I decided to give it a chance. No choice could have been better. I had to extend the coverage several times, and I was ultimately charged for some damages. The claim management of Rentalcover was super easy, simple, and fast as you could expect by a modern UX in 2024. It took them a few days to review the claim, they asked me to provide a couple of more documents, and in a few days the reimbursement was processed, and approved and I got funded in a very few. If every service worked like this the world would be a better place.

Received full reimbursement

Received full reimbursement for my claim, including the administration fees, credit card fees and other extra charges imposed by the rental car company. It only took a few days for the claim to be processed as well, and no further documentation was required on top of what I provided. Very simple and quick process, perfect for a baby mum like me😊

Claim not paid out over 3 months and still counting

Unfortunately I have not been getting sufficient support from them after a claim was filed 3 months ago. The last communication was mid Sep and it has been almost 2 months without update. They have no phone support but multiple emails were unanswered. They claim on their website most claims are processed within 3 days but mine is over 3 months without regular updates. I have no idea when or if I will ever receive my payout. Paid my money and no service unfortunately.

Great coverage, sharp priced, high service

Great coverage of my risk hiring a rentalcar for a sharp price.
We were scammed with a missing tyre repairkit (hidden compartment, not discovered at pick-up) and extra charges of € 230,- from Noleggiare.
RentalCover, although informed about this situation by me, reimbursed the extra charges within 3 days!

Great Experience Filing Claim

This was hands-down the best insurance experience I've ever had. We rented a car in Iceland and first day out a rock hit our windshield and cracked it. Filing the paperwork with RentalCover.com was quick and painless, we didn't get hassled for extra information or delays, and received payment in less than a week. Great service, highly recommended.

Simple and cost-effective

Policy was simple to purchase, and I'm glad I did. A non-fault accident left me facing a sizeable fee from the hire car company, which then rose after the addition of a tow truck. Reimbursement from rental cover took a few weeks, but the claim process was clear and straightforward. Recommended.

Best car rental cover company you can find!

I recently had an outstanding experience with RentalCover, and I’m grateful for their exceptional support. After a rental car company in Italy tried to charge me €730 for alleged damages, which I knew were unjustified (Noleggiare rental agency at Catania Airport, complete scammers), I contacted RentalCover for assistance, as I had their insurance coverage. 600€ was taken from the deposit and 130€ were charged on my card without my consent.

From the beginning, RentalCover’s team was responsive and supportive, guiding me through each step to recover the unauthorized charges. They provided me with clear instructions on how to dispute the charges with my credit card company and even supplied a template to formalize my claim. Thanks to their guidance and the extra documentation they suggested, my dispute was successful for the 130€, but not for the 600€.

I then notified RentalCover back and within 5 days they came back to me to approve the claim on the remaining 600€, they then send a link to confirm my bank account details and once I did it, I immediatly received the funds!

What impressed me most was how RentalCover stayed involved throughout the process, checking in to make sure I received the outcome I wanted. They made what could have been a stressful situation easy and manageable.

If you're considering RentalCover for rental car insurance, I highly recommend them. They are not only affordable but truly dependable when you need them most, going above and beyond to ensure their clients are protected.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for peace of mind with their car rentals! They gained a lifelong customer :)

I used rentalcover many times

I used rentalcover many times. Luckily I didn’t had any accidents until last month. I never went online to read reviews about this company until my accident and after reading all the negative reviews I was so upset with myself thinking it’s a scam!
After rock hit my windshield and rental company changed me $730 I kind of gave up of getting any money back from rentalcover. The opposite happened! I submitted all the documents online on October 14th. Checked next day, nothing. Checked day after, nothing. Yesterday I got an email (October 17th) that my claim was missing some information. I thought, that’s it, because I know I sent everything that was asked. I sent invoice again. 10 min after I got an email that my claim was accepted and I ‘ll get full payment back.
Further process was even faster. I filled my bank information and after submitting it, got my money immediately on my account. I can’t believe it was so easy and I was stressing for nothing. I would keep using rentalcover (hope will never have accident again but you never know).

Actually had a claim, settled quickly!

Actually had a claim and they paid out within a couple of weeks of submission! Felt like it wasn’t easy to contact them but actually quick replying on emails. Just had a single comeback to provide extra evidence, but including all of that had money in my account within a couple of weeks of submission.

Don't throw money away at the car hire desk

I travel frequently for work and almost always rent a car when I do. The car rental companies' insurance are just a rip off. Often more for the insurance than the cost of the rental itself...
RentalCover.com is my go to provider, much much cheaper than the rental companies and th experience has been hassle free.

Fast and uncomplicated

I unfortunately had to make a claim due to a scratch in the front bumper of the car I didn't notice until returning the car. But then I was surprised to find it very easy and straightforward to fill the on-line form and felt supported by the help of the drop-down menus that let you more easily describe what happened.
I must add that the rental company provided all needed documents without requiring them and I just had to add the credit card statement.
And then the evaluation was accomplished within hours and the credit to my account in less than two days.

Beware, small damage scams

For about £50, I took out Full Protection at the time of hiring my car on a recent trip to France.
At point of collection there was a hard sell attempt for additional Collision Damage Waiver, despite me insisting I'd already bought it in UK.

Handing the car keys back at the end of my holiday, I failed to get the guy to walk round the vehicle with me. (I knew we'd not been in any scrapes) School boy error.
Later that afternoon, I got an email indicating small dent on driver's side rear door. completely unnoticed by either of us. Money was taken (E172) against the credit card swipe done at collection and there was nothing I could do except claim

I can recommend it

Fast and non-bureaucratic processing of my claim. I got my money back after a very short time.

It would be good to know when you need a police report. The insurance policy says always. In my case (damage €500), no report was requested. But I spent several hours waiting for the police to come and draw up the report. The police also send a lot of effort, ultimately for nothing.
