Hello,

Hello,
Any body knows how to contact this company?
When I bought my car I had purchased a protection plan (extended warrantee).
Now the car is canceled and I still have 3 years more of coverage which means getting some money back as normal result for this situation.
It seems they disappeared from Los Angeles.
I could not find a website or location map or contact no.
Please advise if you have any news about them

Shift.com really came through with…

Shift.com really came through with their at-home test drive service. It was so convenient to schedule, and the agent who visited was very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. Made our decision much easier without the hassle of visiting a dealership.

Fantastic experience with Shift.com

No Issue Selling My Volt

I had no issue selling Shift my Chevy Volt. After the car was inspected and photos taken, the paperwork was efficiently completed by Denell. He was professional, patient and helpful. Their offer was very fair, and I was never asked to accept less. There was a delay in payment however I received emails from Lyndsey who found a work around to make sure I received payment ASAP. I highly recommend Shift in Oakland!

Very smooth - sort of

Very smooth, organized process turning my car in to the Shift location in Oakland. Loan was paid off promptly but I'm still waiting on the excess funds to reach my bank account after 4 business days.

I have now waited 9 business days without receiving the balance owed to me after Shift paid off my auto loan.

Update - everything is all good! Turns out the outside finance company had held my funds due a mistake on their part.

The end after 2nd attempt was a happy one

The end after 2nd attempt was a happy one.
First time, somehow my offered price was inexplicably reduced which I rejected. I tried again another day, and everything went very well (online offer was not reduced by the office staff)
I truly appreciate Shift, and what they are doing - bringing very sharp competition into the US used automobile space.

Easy, no pressure sale

Great, friendly staff, and welcoming environment. AJ especially was very personable and did not put any pressure on me to purchase. He checked in on me after a test drive to gauge my interest and answered some questions I had. Soon thereafter, I completed my purchase which was also straightforward and painless.

Trustworthy

Trustworthy, highly recommend! they offered a good price and paid it 2 days after picking up the car. Lyndsey was a fantastic help via phone and email. Don’t fall for offers via KKB, eg Autonation, they lure you into the dealership with a good same day cash offer only to then offer a much lower price saying market has changed.

Smooth process, but lack of communication after leaving car.

Overall process was smooth and the payment was processed in 3-5 business days.
However after leaving the car with Shift, the communication was missing. There was no portal to track if the inspection status and whether it was completed and when I should be receiving the money. Also calling customer care multiple times did not work.

Smooth Sale

Everything went very smoothly. The people answering the phone were able to access the account status instantly and gave good advice for the next steps. There was a slight problem getting through the phone line, but they were available late evenings and weekends. The accountant that settled my account was efficient and knowledgeable. I found out that trying to arrange a car pick up did not work well, but after I dropped of my car in Oakland, the funds were in my account within a week

Post sale experience was very bad

Post sale experience was very bad. Offer got changed 3 days after sale. Payment took more than a week (not received at the time of writing, even though car was listed). Getting a reply from customer service/sell support was very hard - took multiple follow ups to get a single response.

In person staff at dealership was helpful.

Great customer service

Excellent customer service. Went for a test drive and absolutely loved how they treat their customer. AJ was the one who helped us choose the car. He was very patient and gave us lot of information. Definitely recommend the place.

Shift, without a letter f

Update after Shift response - it is cynical from your side to suggest calling the same number that no one answers/calls back.

Buying process was OK, we were satisfied with the car, until car started showing powertrain errors just 300 miles later.
Shift is giving 30 day warranty on their "certified" cars, BUT
I have attempted to contact Shift, sent multiple emails, called, left voicemails, call back instructions... NOTHING and NO ONE responded?

I am amending my original review for…

I am amending my original review for Shift because they did not address certain issues (even though there is a $1000 concierge fee to use them) when I purchased the car, and 6 months later, I am paying $800 out of pocket to DMV.
The 1 star is only because my advisor was super nice.
They charged my tax & licence at time of purchase but now that I have moved out of state, CA DMV is saying that us was never paid and I am paying a huge late fee.
I am incredible upset and obviously will never use them again and will be telling everyone I know about my experience!

My experience at shift went really…

My experience at shift went really well. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I made an appointment to test drive a car and everything was ready to go. The car buying process was also very easy and AJ helped me out to get a good rate. The only issue I had was with the car “inspection”. Who ever did the multi-point inspection on the car missed a lot of things, all four shocks were blown, the car needed an alignment badly, the center console lid wasn’t even attached all the bolts were missing, a light was out, the front license plate was barely hanging on, the windshield washer reservoir wasn’t even attached, it was also just hanging in there missing a bolt. These were just little things but it makes me feel less confident in the rest of the inspection.

Great buying experience

I dreaded buying a new used car. Hate the dealership sale tactics and pressure. This places made it a breeze. Fast, efficient, price never changed and it was super competitive. No pressure of add ins or hidden charges. Also nice and friendly staff in the Pomona branch.

The worse experience ever be carful they break the law

Sean and the Financial manager of Shift from Oakland at 2000 Maritime St #100 is the worse that you can do. Stop do not buy from Shift they try to rip you off buy selling you damage cars . They don’t k ow anything about the car and what is worse they hide your credit score information to sell you high rate for their profit. Terrible costumer service, lack of professionalism and they break the law. I’m afraid that they are going to abuse o miss use of my social security and personal information it was my worse mistake graying to purchase from Shift. Please don’t do it.

Shift worked hard to make sure my car…

Shift worked hard to make sure my car was safe and drivable by servicing the suspension and recharging the battery after an issue was found with each. Denell and Corbin were especially attentive and professional in the transaction and deserve a raise. Thank you

The process was super simple…

The process was super simple… The people involved were very efficient at what they do. Great facility I would recommend them over the usual used car dealer any day and twice on Sunday. Kudos to the entire shift team.
