I ordered a gift card online for a friends birthday - no option to have an e gift card so I paid £3.95 for postage. The gift card arrived yesterday in the most ludicrous sized box for the smallest... See more

AWFUL InStore Experience & Customer Service Team!!!
A month ago I visited the London Bridge station store. The experience from the moment I walked in was horrid to say the least. The Ritual's employee I will discuss turned out to be the store manager, brunette with glasses, strong EU accent [sounded either French or Italian] and outrageously rude!
When i entered the store, she pounced on me asking if i wanted a basket, i politely declined and went on with my browsing, she followed me around the store like a bad smell. As I stopped she asked me what I'm looking for, I said "i'm just browsing" this is the moment any sane employee would understand that the customer wants to be left alone and not bothered. But no, she wanted to bother me, she then asked me who i'm browsing for, myself of someone else. At this point I said "i'd like to browse quietly, alone, thank you anyway". You'd think she'd let me be, but of course not, she continued to blabber on and on having a go at me and complaining, at which point I responded with "I've been very polite and pleasant with you, and now you're making the whole situation unpleasant and uncomfortable", you'd think she'd stop, but no, she went on to start shouting! I was the customer, calm and composed and the employee - uff, store manager behaved appalling! I was shocked, feeling so uncomfortable I had to leave the store, as i was on my way out i asked the security guard who the manager was, unfortunately it was her, and as i'm conversing with him i hear her stomping towards me shouting what do you want.
After speaking with friends and family i was advised i should raise a complaint with customer services - i did - and they were just as awful. I had to chase about 6 times to get an update, each time I was being told it's being investigated. I even told them to watch the CCTV footage. Having consistently chased for an update on the outcome, they finally responded, not with an outcome, but to tell me: "While experiences can sometimes be perceived differently..." are you being serious?! You think this was perception? No it was fact! Had you watched the CCTV you would have seen for yourself. My experience and complaint was completely undermined. They tried to offer me £10 voucher to spend in store - As if i was after a petty £10 voucher, i've spent thousands at Rituals over the past several years and i definitely won't be spending another penny there! I wanted justice for the shocking behaviour towards me, not a pathetic £10 voucher. AVOID RITUALS AT ALL COSTS!
Hair products reaction
I didn't expect their shampoo, conditioner and serum to give me an allergic reaction given they are expensive: sting, hives, itching. I tried them all separately also in case one didn't react but they did. My hair didn't even feel washed after using them. Took sometime to figure out as I was in denial and presumed other things were the cause.
They are very acidic and doesn't perform like it advertises on their bottles.
Will avoid their hair products now. I hope the free samples of other types of items don't react the same way. Very disappointed although they are not the only brand which had this reaction. Faith of Nature from Holland and Barrett did too - they partly refunded me. These products promised to be like no other - clearly they are but not in a good way.
Clearly all products everywhere have harsh chemicals in them despite some saying they don't.
Lovely Packaging, But the Product Dips in the Middle
I really wanted to love this lip balm because there are so many things it gets right. The packaging is lovely, it feels high quality, and the twist-up design is really practical and easy to use. The formula itself is beautiful too,it leaves my lips feeling soft and moisturised.
Unfortunately, I’m quite disappointed with the way the product wears down. Instead of staying flat, it’s developed a deep dip in the middle, as you can see in the photo. This makes it awkward to apply and feels like you’re not able to use the product evenly. It’s such a shame because it lets down what is otherwise a really lovely product.
I really hope this is something the brand can improve, because with a better design I’d happily buy it again.
won’t be shopping with again
called as they sent me my order with items missing and spoke to someone called Ashley who was rude patronising condescending and had me on loud speaker with other women laughing in the background everytime i spoke. refused to help me or rectify their mistake. will no longer be using rituals have spent thousands online and in store

My daughter said Morgan loves her job mummy ,she smiles a lot , 10/10 .
Save yourself the legal fees
My experience working here was deeply disappointing and revealed a significant gap between the company’s public image and the reality of the workplace culture.
While the brand presents itself around wellbeing, kindness and creating positive experiences, the internal environment I experienced often felt the complete opposite. There was a strong culture of gossip, negativity and unprofessional behaviour, with colleagues and, at times, customers being spoken about disrespectfully behind their backs. This included mocking individuals who were perceived as different or vulnerable, which was particularly uncomfortable and completely at odds with any values of inclusivity or respect.
I was also disappointed by the attitude shown towards certain groups of customers. Some customers appeared to be judged based on their appearance, age, background or perceived social status rather than being treated equally. This created an atmosphere where certain people seemed to be viewed as less deserving of respect, which is unacceptable in a customer-facing environment.
There were also concerns around professionalism within the team. Conversations regularly crossed appropriate workplace boundaries, with inappropriate topics being discussed openly. There was frequent phone use, personal activities during working hours and a lack of urgency or accountability from some staff members. At times, the level of effort and engagement did not reflect the standards expected from employees.
Management and supervisory behaviour was a major issue. There were instances of dismissive attitudes, visible frustration towards customers and colleagues, and behaviour that contributed to an uncomfortable atmosphere. Rather than promoting teamwork and respect, the culture often felt driven by cliques, exclusion and fear of being the next person discussed negatively.
Communication and basic employment standards were also a concern. Payroll issues, including payments not being accurate or arriving on time throughout my employment, created unnecessary stress and showed a lack of care for employees that are paid monthly with one month's arrears.
Overall, this was an environment where image seemed to take priority over substance. A company that promotes mindfulness, care and respect should ensure those values exist internally as well as externally. Significant improvements are needed in leadership, accountability, professionalism and workplace culture.
Poor Customer Service and Over 50 Days Without a Complaint Resolution
I have been a customer of Rituals for some time, which is why this experience was so disappointing.
The customer service I received was unprofessional from the outset. When I asked for my receipt, I was initially told that they "don't do them." Moments later, the receipt was printed anyway and thrown onto the counter towards me rather than being handed to me politely. It was dismissive, discourteous and completely unnecessary.
What made the experience even worse was that the member of staff involved appeared to be the manager. I would expect a manager to set the standard for customer service, not demonstrate behaviour that falls below it.
As I was leaving the store, instead of allowing the situation to end professionally, she called after me and said, **"You should learn how to smile more."** I found this to be an inappropriate and personal comment to make to a customer. Customer service staff should never make personal remarks about a customer's appearance or demeanour, particularly after providing poor service.
I responded by saying, **"Or maybe if you got better customer service, someone would smile at you."** My response was directly related to the service I had received.
To make matters worse, I raised a formal complaint about this incident over **50 days ago**. Since then, I have chased Rituals more than **five times** and, on every occasion, I have simply been told that they are "waiting for a response from the department." I have received no meaningful update, no outcome of any investigation and no indication of when this will be resolved.
The way this complaint has been handled has been almost as disappointing as the original incident. Leaving a customer waiting for over 50 days without a proper response is unacceptable.
I expected much better from a premium brand like Rituals. I hope this review prompts someone to properly investigate both the conduct of the manager involved and the handling of my complaint.
Product (Ritual of Karma foaming showers gel) exploded upon opening and caused a rash on my forhead
Product (Ritual of Karma - foaming shower gel) exploded upon opening and caused a rash om my forehead and made a mess in the whole bathroom. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU WANT A RASH ON YOUR FACE!!! I know it’s not supposed to go on the face but if it wouldn’t EXPLODED UPON OPENING then it would be nice.
The refill unit is a different size.
I saw that Druni offered a refill for “Whipped Body Cream Ritual of Jing,” so I ordered it. I’ve used Rituals body cream before—different types. I just happened to have kept the jar from Ritual of Ayurveda. I usually throw empty jars away, but reusing them is better—and cheaper, too. The refill unit fits inside the jar but has a rim that’s just a millimeter wider, so you can’t get the lid on. In the store, all the jars look the same. I think this is a cheap sales tactic to force people to buy a set that includes the jar first. I just spoon the stuff from one container to the other. For now, I don’t need any more Ritual products.
I had a very positive rituals welcome!
I had a very positive rituals welcome!
I've never been to Rituals before but I've heard generally positive things. The store I visited in-person (Victoria Square) had immaculate customer service many thanks to the girls Ashley and Katherine. Product-wise, a great selection of products to choose from. Definitely an ideal place for body-care products of high quality but reasonable prices. Perfect place for gifting!
Worst experience ever. Order 237684195
Worst experience ever. After 10 days , I contacted customer service to ask where is my order. They said that they could not send because 1 item was missing on stock. Noone ask me if I need to wait for full order. They cancelled and refund offering 15% discount on next. I am unsatisfied.
Visited the ritual outlet in Wembley…
Visited the ritual outlet in Wembley today, the lady who served me was lovely, giving me a great idea for teachers gifts, I was going to hug £5 gift cards but she suggested the big beach bags for a fiver and said she would put them in gift bags for me! Which actually was a better idea! The packed them and sprayed them so they smelt nice! Amazing customer service, sitting here now with the bag radiating a lovely smell! Very friendly and welcoming.
Don't give Rituals your email address
Be very wary of giving Rituals your email address for a receipt or an order. My details were used in a fake Rituals email to get me to buy a Birthday gift.
The email wasn't from Rituals but my information was either sold by Rituals or stolen from their database so security is weak. Either way by careful
Unhelpful customer service
Unhelpful customer service, order was returned to sender and now they are holding my money, I called them and you can clearly see it is returned to sender but they refuse to refund which is out of order considering this is none of my fault but the couriers.
I very much appreciate the men shaving cream
I very much appreciate the men shaving cream and aftershave.
Water based, I believe but it leaves a very soft skin after shaving.
The After shave moreover gives an additional care.
I only use their shaving cream & aftershave
Wow not surprised to see this company…
Wow not surprised to see this company is so poorly reviewed. it's mind blowing that they've just discontinued the mens roll on deodorant. Just when I find one I'm really happy with. Useless, useless, useless!!!
Customer support fianlly got things sorted out
Updated review: 4 weeks latter, the order has been finally recreated anew by support and was successfully delivered.
Original review: I placed an order in-store with home delivery because the item was not available in any physical store. The order was placed almost two weeks before I actually needed it to avoid any delays.
First, I was asked to wait two business days, but the order was still not shipped. After contacting customer support, I was told to wait a couple more days. I did, but as of today I still have neither a shipped order nor even an order confirmation.
What is even more disappointing is that customer support has been ignoring my messages since Friday. I had to contact support myself to find out what was happening with my order instead of being proactively informed.
I have always been a loyal customer, but the lack of communication and the way this situation has been handled is extremely disappointing. Ordering well in advance clearly served no purpose.
Order number: 238050729.
Dont order online
I placed an order on the 4th July for my partners birthday (8th July) with it stating that it would arrive within 1-2 working days so I expected it by the 6th or 7th July considering I ordered on a Saturday. It didn’t come so I emailed them and their reply was, “I can see that Royal Mail has tried to deliver your order” yet on the original confirmation email it says they would email when the order has been dispatched?? So how was I meant to know if it was being delivered or not ???? Absolutely shocking! They sent me a link to track the order but I need a reference number. That was never given to me ! So I’ve emailed again and am currently waiting on another reply. Don’t order from this company
Wonderful Products
I had a lovely experience in the Amstelveen store. I bought the Hammam shower gel and body scrub. Both are excellent products. The atmosphere of the store was cozy and I was greeted with tea. Their hand scrub is phenomenal. It leaves a layer of moisture on the hands.
Poor customer service
I recieved a gift from rituals and was really excited as I genuinely love everything from there. Unfortunately the candle had melted into the box. I took this to the Brent Cross branch to see if they could exchange this. The sales advisor was very dismissive and told me that I would have to wait for a manager , he would not even look at the product like it was dirty and this encounter left me feeling so uncomfortable as he was trying to fob me of. I couldn't go back to see if the manager was there later. I just wanted to ask if they would exchange the product. Now I do not want anything from there.
