Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Emblazoned Shields are Shields featuring a traditional design from the Necluda Region.[1] This design has lead to the Shield finding popularity, even though they do not provide much protection when compared to Wooden Shields.[1] They can be found in many locations, particularly within East Necluda and the Hebra Mountains. One can be located in a Treasure Chest in the Gatepost Town Ruins near Oman Au Shrine. Alternatively, there is one at the Equestrian Riding Course. An Shield can also be obtained from Selmie if Link completes the Shield-Surfing Mini-Game between 3:00 and 3:15.[3] Several travelers also carry an Emblazoned Shield on their journeys.
Being made of wood, Emblazoned Shields will burn and eventually disintegrate if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. They also float if they are dropped in Water, and they will not attract Lightning during Thunderstorms or conduct Electricity. Finally, they cannot be picked up with the Magnesis Rune.
