Hi there, I'm Jeewantha Sadaruwan, an Engineering undergraduate in the Electronic and Telecommunication Department, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka π
- π I am currently an Engineering undergraduate at the University of Moratuwa, studying in the Department of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering, where I am building a strong foundation in both hardware and software domains.
- π€ I am passionate about Robotics, Autonomous Systems, and Embodied AI, with a growing focus on Vision-Language Models (VLMs), Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAs), and Multi-Agent Systems that can operate intelligently in dynamic environments.
- π§ I enjoy exploring how intelligent agents can perceive environments, reason with language, make decisions, and take actions in real-world robotic systems, bridging the gap between perception and purposeful action.
- π My current learning and research interests include robot learning, computer vision, autonomous navigation, long-horizon reasoning, and AI-driven robotic agents capable of handling complex, real-world tasks.
- π οΈ Alongside my AI and robotics interests, I also have hands-on experience with embedded systems, electronics, PCB design, and circuit design, which helps me understand both the hardware and intelligence layers of robotic systems.
- π₯ I enjoy working in teams, taking leadership when needed, and contributing as a supportive team member to build meaningful, practical solutions that make a real impact.
- π± I am always eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to innovative projects in Robotics, AI, and Autonomous Intelligent Systems, and I look forward to growing through research and real-world challenges.
π οΈ My projects πΌ
--Unitree Go2 EDU β SLAM Integration & Autonomous Navigation π€
A robotics project focused on implementing Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and autonomous navigation on the Unitree Go2 EDU quadruped robot. The system enables the robot to build a map of its environment in real time while navigating autonomously from a specified start point to a target destination, leveraging ROS2 and modern navigation stacks.
--Ride Booking Agent π
An AI-powered ride booking agent built to automate and streamline the ride booking process using intelligent decision-making. This project explores the integration of AI agents with real-world service workflows, enabling automated interaction with booking systems through natural language and structured task execution.
--Smart Organic Waste Management System π
I am excited to share that my team and I have achieved the First Runner-Up position in the Sri Lanka IEEE Challenge Sphere Arduino Challenge with my innovative project: Smart Organic Waste Management System!
This project represents a fusion of advanced technology and sustainable practices, designed to revolutionize the management of organic waste. It enhances efficiency and promotes environmental responsibility, paving the way for smarter waste management solutions.
I extend my deepest gratitude to the IEEE Sri Lanka Section for providing the platform to showcase this work and to the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society of SLTC for their invaluable support throughout the competition.
I am eager to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation and look forward to future advancements and projects. Stay tuned for more updates!
